i think this chipset will rock, but hte future is no where near bright as ATI prolly wont provide any support for it even though its the best Conroe/Kentsfield chipset.

I hope nVidia make something liek this , RAM / CPU frequency async....

cuz if i want multi GPU i gotta get nVidia. i dont think AMD will let ATI make any chipset for intel after this one, so that means no ATI crossfire for intel....

maybe Bearlake X will support both SLI and Crossfire ? eh?

so when is this board com'n?

i don't think AMD will let intel use it's crossfire technique in the future boards. and just hold crossfire as an AMD platform only feature.
kinda like intel not wanting to renew ati's chipset license

thats called a much much better voltage control.. thats why it clocks better at lower volts.
either that or the other timings are really loose compared to the other board

I had this board in hand for a while, then I added in the latest clockgen (http://www.cpuid.com/download/ClockGen.zip) a slider for memory clock control on this wonderful chipset. Yes, it can be changed on the fly !

This asynch memory clock feature is never-seen before. Helas, seems that the RD600 will be the last ATi chipset for Intel CPUs, and this feature is non applicable on K8. What a shame :(

thx frank, yes I'm using clkgen 1.05 pull the fsb, but seems hit the wall arround 170fsb :( (original=100fsb by deafult coz of bios don't support b1/b2 chip ).

use ICS 954519 right ?

Does the indepedant mem overclocking mean that some DDR2 modules would need to be retested again to find their max OC, becuase we wont be stopped by the limits of the CPU. Im thinking allot more DDR2 modules would be able to OC more than in the list in this post

When did they start talking about this board june-july. Now we are into October, if its not out by the beg. December, then im going ASUS i just cant wait any longer

The board has had the late September/late October tag as a release date all along I believe. So it's not been pushed up much.

I just found and tried several combine of jumpers on the mobo and moded an older bios.
great it's worked !
now benching my E6700es B1 :D

You cannot compare a retail product with a board thats under development

with a single card, 747_1134, 3.8G cpu, 3Dmark05=15047.
