Would glass be a good material to use instead of Acetal? Just randomly throwing ideas out there. Although one thing I always wished for was a res with an incorporated filter that can be easily replaced/cleaned. Adding inline filters is a non options since its so damn restrictive. If the top of the tub can be unscrewed and the filter be taken out to clean it would be very sweet. I'm more than willing to pay a little extra to not worry about anything clogging up waterblocks or damaging pumps. Again would glass be an option?

Oh and one other thing, make it mount easily without anyone having to drill holes and such.

situman - you could go to a pet shop and get one of the aquarium sponge filters which isn't very dense or restrictive, but still acts as a filter

just stick it in the res and poke it to the bottom... maybe a small acrylic ring on top of it to prevent it from floating up

more food for though tho eddie :)

edit: and glass can't be threaded or machined as a base, and because it can't be threaded, etc - i doubt it would be an option for the tube itself either

Please make a reservoir with 1 barb on the bottom and other on the side. Some of us have unusual loop designs (my pump = top of case, radiator barbs = bottom of case) and I spent 2 weeks trying to find this design with no luck. I think you would then fill a need for some of us.

I would desire a least 115ml capacity and up to 180 ml (past 180ml makes these tubes too long unless you changed the diameter to 65mm and sold the holders for it).

It doesn't have to be the same gauge , Just standard copper pipe
with Fins soldered on.

the barbs can go on the plexi ends.

No no, I was suggesting the glass should be the body and delrin be the end caps with the barbs and thread of course. BTW, think pickle jars.

pickle jars have threads forged into the glass jar, and the metal top has 3 metal tabs pressed into it which are recieved by the threads on the mouth of the jar...

Why not just offer the option of buying it with two of your new bottom caps (with the multiple inlet/outlet locations) or one bottom and one plain top.
That should cover just about anybody's needs.

I think that the above design is the best so far.

If you can have the option for two bottom peices it may help some people to route tubing better... as no extra design cost.

I think for my own loop at home I would want a res with two bottom sections..

Looking good so far.

EDIT-Changed my mind a bit.
