1.62 vcore for 4.14 ghz

Dual Prime ran for 30 minutes while I was in the shower tonight without any errors. SuperPi32m is good. However, I will be leaving my rig on for the next 14 hours priming..

Nice rig dominick32. I think with a nice vdroop mod, maybe 4.2ghz 24/7 could be achievable.

Thank you kind sir. Yes, I need both a vdroop and vcore mod on my P5B. Is there anyone local to Long Island, NY that can do this for me? I would pay you for labor of course. One thing I will not get me hands dirty in is soldering.

Not with my voltage problem - Maximum voltage on the board = 1.62 actual with a droop to 1.578 under load. :mad: That is using a bios selected 1.7 vcore.

I need a vcore and vdroop mod to get more overclock out of her. Also, colder temps could help a bit too.

Evaportator temps @ 4.1 ghz, 1.55 vcore = -48*C idle, -*39*C load
Bios Temps @ 4.1 ghz, 1.55 vcore = -27*C idle

I have the same problem with my board. You probably could go higher but not at those FSB speeds. Try lowering the FSB and increasing the multiplier. I'm guessing you should be able to get it just under 4.5Ghz or maybe even higher.

By-the-way: That's what i call a real Mess, Ill always be proper and clean in my case even whit Phase change cooling. I like the look of a case whitout any wires lol

have you tried 1.675v set in bios ?
iirc, 1.7v give lower vcore than 1.675v

UPDATE FELLAS. I must say I am extremely pleases with this little 6600. Almost 4.4Ghz @ 1.62vcore.

Just installed a new thermalright HR chipset cooler and it turns out that my Northbridge has been holding me back BIG TIME!
