I must be messing up something on the setup.
using a ninja with 120 yate fan, 200 rpm faster than stock fan.
My 6400 can do 420 fsb and temps are 48C idle and 62C load
With a 6600 I can only do 333 stable at 41C idle and51C load.
above 333 I can get into windows but trying to open anything
and its reboot.
hope to see some pics and MAN is that a nice oc you got.
sparks
hi mate
it's a pain in the arse to get pics up
basically i do nothing fancy man i go to jumperless settings and put the vcore up and vdimm up, FSB up, set 1:1 ratio, set PCI freq 33.33, everything else is auto
in CPU part i turn off temp monitoring and all that other caper EIST and all that
RAM timings are 4-4-4-12 and everything else as bios has it set (note that timings are loose in bios and that can actually deteriorate your OCs so maybe play with secondary RAM timings a little.............tighten them)
What kind of air keeps that chipset at 18c?:D
Hi dinos22
Could you please post a direct link to where we can download the 0607 BETA bios ?
Been looking for it on the usual Asus FTP's etc..... and I cant find it anywhere.
Many thanks,
Ben
Yes..please! The link on Anandtech is DEAD.Quote:

If it's not on Asus FTP, I'd worry 'bout who modded it...
Use at your own risk.:D
0607
man, i wish my E6600 would do that.
there's actually a problem with that reading.........regardless of anything it was staying around 18-19 even though the ambient was above that lol and the chipset was warm to touch    sensor busted me thinksQuote:

yeah i'll see if i can write it all down and post
Dinos22, sure I can do that if/when you come to Copenhagen :D
However, what I said in the danish forum was if any of them found one I couldnt hit 100% with, I'd give beer (Im addicted to LN2) =)
hey man i'll be heading over to Europe next summer heheheheh :D
you've got a nice CPU i've seen that threadQuote:

I also found that the above bolded timing have me another 45MHz on some old OCZ fatbody RAM I was testing by dropping it to 3 so play with those and other secondary timings to see if any of them make any difference
Thanks mate :toast: will try this tonight and hope i can get my 100%oc:fact:Quote:

the fsb is 100% yes, but the overall clock is only a 57% oc.
Never-the-less, nice work and keep it up!
LOL how did you come up with 57% OC
I'd LOVE to find that out :ROTF:
100% means 100% oc of the multiplier
not 100% of the stock cpu setting.
not sure where or who is teaching you things but 100% OC is 100% oc it dont mean squat if you drop the multi. if the cpu is running 2ghz and you overclock to 4ghz thats 100% oc.
ok let's do the math together kids 1.86*2=3.72 YAY
266*2=533 YAY
who wants a cookie?
you guys should also sign up to Pedro Rochas 100% OC thread and let him know it's only 57% heheheh. I'm sure Kingpin and the rest of the crowd congratulating him would be rather disappointed the way he mislead everyone ROFL

Second how would changing the multi make it not a 100% OC. getting a 100% OC has nothing to do with what settings you use...just taking the stock speed and improving on it 100%. Maybe we should say that no one has a real 100% OC because they are messing with there RAM timing to reach higher speeds...get the point?
Not to mention there is no real advantage in having a changable multi on the E6*00 chips for getting to a 100% OC. Seeing as the only way you can go is down that actually makes it harder to get to a 100% CPU OC and only becomes important when trying to run your RAM and CPU at there peek.
Is it just me or does this post make absolutely no sense?
EDIT: OK was i was typing that it seem I am not alone on this one. lol
