wait, should I get it down to 400, or up to 800?!

Down to 400 (DDR makes it 800, Double data rate)

thats the advantage of DDR2
faster
Some people at DFI street have mentioned the NB getting quite hot. I plan to put a 40mm fan on mine until I see a good deal on a heatpiped aftermarket cooler. I was looking at the Spirit II maybe.Quote:

I think you'll still need to raise your vcore to 1.35v to get much higher than 320
Your ram should have worked at 1:1 320fsb (640Mhz), unless it's 533Mhz?
ok ignore all my comments about the chipset temps and the way the board autocalculates the mem frequency...
somehow despite the title and post i thought you had the P5W
though i may still be correct if i am its only by luck
One thing you do have going for you is I believe Kunaak mentioned that he was seeing the higher FSB when there was only 1 GB total of memory in the system (on the experimental BIOS). I'm not 100% sure why, maybe it has something to do with addressing within the NB. So there is some hope for you when that BIOS becomes stable.
I Just Dont Get It!
When Im On 320 Fsb And 553 Mem Speed The System Eorks Fine, But When I Raise The Mem Speed To 800 It Wont Boot!
Maybe I Should Get The Mem Speed Even Lower?
I have the same problem but with asus pw5dh, the system boot to windows but not pass the prime test   so many ppl OC E6600 up to 360,370 400 FSB
You probably need to raise the vdimm too. What ram are you using?
You won't get very far without raising the vcore and vdimm.
Gskill PC6400 HZ+E6600+P5WDH I raise try other vcore like 1.35 ad auto....
sorry my english
Set vcore to 1.35v and vdimm to 2.1vQuote:

I guess im just doing something wrong.
can someone guide me via messenger, step by step what to do?
If you are running at 320 Mhz and 533 DRAM, then you are already basically at 4:3 I believe (320:240, 240x2 = 480). To run 4:3 at 370 Mhz, you need ram to be at (370/4)*3*2=555, which is greater than 533, so if you cannot choose 555 I *think* you have to choose 667.
Have you raised the cpu/ram voltages?Quote:

Ive found a 40MM fan and im now installing it on the heat sint, hope it will help, and get me to 370 and more!
Anything other than the 4:3 (400) divider will pretty much limit you to around 320ish fsb with any of the current bios's.
370ish seems to be the limit for most on this board, maybe things will change with a newer bios, maybe not.
Anyways cool the NB, I just have a fan blowing on mine, keeps it in the 4xC range.
My NB is on 67 degrees on stress, its extreamly hot!
do you think that something like this will cool it down a bit?
or maybe the AKASA AK-210?
http://www.jab-tech.com/Microcool-No...r-pr-3319.html Dropped my temps about 8C from 49C to 41C and only hard task is undoing the original spring clips. Copper base is nearly mirror polished and looks like a mirror on mine when I pulled from its' box. All required pieces are in the box for installation on 975X/G.

so all you do to set yourself to 4:3 is set the memory to 667? Dang Intel dividers confuse me.
