You almost sound like you are joking, I hope not at least.

But do you think that the PSU as a whole is quiet or not, because might get this PSU if it's not too noisy.
With the Sanyo Denki fan, it gave me a headache.
I suggest you buy the PSU anyway, it's a very solid PSU, and replace the noisy fan by a quieter 40mm fan :)

has anyone done a detailed review on one of these zippy high wattage psu's?
- cross load voltages
- ripple???
- cross load ripple?
maybe johnnyguru could pop his scope on one and let us know if it is the one we seak?
Yeah I would love it if JohnyGuru was able to review one of these, can't he make a deal with coolaler and borrow his?
Well, stacker 830 and this psu... No way... It don't fit for sure...
It will fit, but you won't be able to mount the top fan and you will have to get rid of some of the top fan mounting hardware. But it will fit.
billions of blue blistering barnacles!!!!!!!
i was planning on putting one im my stacker. and the top blowhole fan is exactly 220mm from the back fo the case.
guess il take out my faithful dremel and tune the top fan.
( as the trailing edge of the fan is 220 away from the back of the case it may just slip in with a gentle prod )
( and the enermax is also 220 long )
incase some people couldnt pick up the sarcasm... yes they are very loud.
Nothing you cant fanmod though.
I got rid of the 40mm fan and replaced the 80mm fan with coolermaster 1000 rpm fan. It's been working fine for months.Quote:

BTW, I have finally found an e-tailer over here that can sell me one of those, but the price is very high though. I guess that you gotta pay for quality, but sure scared me off a little.Quote:

This is not my first time replacing PSU's fans. Since I often use 2U PSU, their 40mm fans are extremely noisy. I generally replace them with 1000 rpm fan. It doesn't cause problems due to nature of rackmount cases. They have middle fans that push air into PSU.
Over here but it's more expensive though.
Thanks
Out of stock atm
Another review of this suppurb PSU at Blorn3D, not a very proffesional review and more of a real life environment test, but it still is a nice test. They do state that is is indeed a very quiet PSU, which is quite on the contrary with other user expreriences although this might have to do with the fact that this is the Gaming Power version. The server version may indeed be a lot noisier.
Bjorn3D rates it with a 9.5 out of 10, if it wasn't for the length of this unit and the low (manufacturers stated) efficiency it would have had 10.
PS. I state: 'manufacturers stated efficiency' as no-one has made any measurements regarding efficiency it might thus be very conservative. Zippy is, according to Overclock3D.net, very conservative in thier efficiency ratings, as Zippy says thier 600W gaming power has an efficiency of 71-78% while at overclock3d.net it scores en efficiency of 84.5%.
I can't believe these guys are saying this thing is silent.
If it's silent, then you're not loading it up at all.
When that 40MM kicked in, I wanted to stick a gun in my mouth.
It's not your usual fan noise. It's a high pitched whirring whine.
