out of curiousty, did you change any settings other than FSB and CPU voltage?
I want a board for long term use and don't want to up voltages on the chipset bus etc. kinda hoping for 366FSB
and for the record, coolaler, you and your kentsfield/conroe reviews are what officially made me join this site. You definately grabbed my attention.
hi coolaer , unforunately i updated my dfi 975x to the 814 beta bios which appeared briefly on there site and me and someone else could not reboot after that , then the beta bios was pulled off the site, i think it corrupted the boot block on the bios chip but as soon as i saw your post i decided to get a new programmed bios chip and keep the dfi, i was just about to go for the asusQuote:

hi dawan was yours the same with the 814 bios , i have ordered a new bios chip but will grab a ps/2 keyboard from work tomorrow and try the insert key, what did you do once you got it to boot again flash back to an older bios on a floppy
No i'm still using it but it only boots about 1/4 of the time which is very anoying, i'm waiting for the 816 :)Quote:

Fourth would be if this thing actually performs for others like it did for coolaler. The only reason I say that is because it seems like many of the beta reviews have lead people to believe one thing and then when it comes to retail it performs like poo.
It's even worse for me now that my CPU is sitting here with all the other parts ready to go. What pain! :p:
was yours the same on first reboot all powered up fans on, but no video , no floppy seek , i only have usb keyboard at home so i will fetch a ps/2 one home tomorrow and try but i have a new bios chip coming anywayQuote:

That's the target. I've been waiting so long for a good Conroe 6600 board at a fair price, I need one now. I hope the Infinity 975x is a new kind of animal with this new BIOS. The suspance is killing me :caution: ...Quote:

Of all the 975 boards out right now there really isn't one at a GOOD price that is getting consistent numbers. The Asus boards are rediculously expensive. the MSI I had hope for and still somewhat do but right now there are to many questions regarding the BIOS and mixed results.
All I want is a sub $200 board that is based off the 975 chipset (so it supports multi-gpu) that will hit 400-450Mhz FSB so i can clock my E6400 up to around 3.4Ghz. I'm really hoping DFI will do it with this BIOS update.

Been checking both DFI page & DFI Street for the 816 bios to be posted .. so far no luck :(
is anyone going to upload this bios so we can try it, would be really nice
