I had the same exact problem, and it would freeze at that same exact time!!!! i hate those damn Antec Neo HE's!!!!!!!! it took me forever to figure out what my problem was, then i bought a ocz gxs 700 and poof no more problem.
DAMN Antec to hell! LOL just venting a little bit:D after that i always tell people to check with another psu if they are using an antec product, especially the neo HE.
good luck with a better product. Antec and Asus is a no no in my book
Well.
I intended to try with a different PSU but unfortunatly it has a burnt pin so I won't be able to check this out tonight.
I'm going to buy another PSU tomorrow after work and see if it does it. I'm most likely going with OCZ or something else with modulable cables... Is the modstream still a good one?
I'd really like modulary connectors so I can route my cables in the P180 without too much hassle.
Any suggestions??
Enermax 620W Liberty
Seasonic 600W
Both supposed to be very good, and both are modular.
Very pleased with the enermax 620 :)
Wow im happy i just sold mines. That was the PSU I was using when my ASUS P5W DH Deluxe wouldnt post.....Could the PSU have been the problem in that case too?Quote:

I had the same stupid problem (BSOD ) installing Win XP SP2 using an OCZ powerstream . I got it installed disabling 1394 and Jmicron controler in bios for some reason

Edit :
I see Enermax's website states it's SLI ready and Dual core ready... Considering I'm not going to use a Pressler, I guess I should be fine with this power supply :D
The 600w model is not much more expensive online, but my local store sells it 60 dollars more than the 500w. And I really don't feel like waiting another week to get a better PSU.
That's without saying I'm not 100% sure yet the problem lies within the PSU. I really do hope so though but I'll have to test to see!!
Windows hanging or rebooting at 34 minutes is a known issue according to this article it is related to a hardware problem.

WTFFFFFFFF. I have an Antec NEO HE 550W Modular PSU!
If I have problems with my board that's due to arrive (MSI 975X Platinum PowerUp Edition I'm going to be so p'd off.
I'm not too sure what's meant by this:
Looking at the plug end of the PSU, from left to right..
Plug 1 (No) Plug 2 (Yes) Plug 3 (No) Plug 4 (No) Plug 5 (Yes).
[] - [] - [] - [] - [] {__}-----
N - Y -- N - N - Y
The bit at the right is the 24 pin ATX cable which connects to the mobo.
So I can only use two plugs? Will Antec accept an RMA over this?
Chances are the PSU would be the one to blame. I feel the pain, mate :mad:Quote:

I tried this.Quote:

It worked for 1 single reboot. Got in windows almost instantly. I was  !
However, on next bootup try, it would lock up completly and not even let me get in windows... at all. Only safe mode works.
So, this might not be the solution to the hanging problem.
are you still getting a ton of texas instruments compatibility issues in device manager?
Uh... i have a NeoHE 550 with absolutely NO problems, specs in rig...
I have yet to re-install windows with a *working* PSU.Quote:

But, so far everytime I did get to install windows with the Antec NeoHE, I experienced ultra slow boots and the 20 or so texas instruments compatibility issues.
So, maybe the PSU/mainboard compatibility issue revolves arround the Texas Instrument IEEE1394 detection, meaning slow boots times and/or failure to detect devices during windows installation (34 min lock up).
BINGO!!!!!!!!!
Bought an Enermax Liberty 500W and it did the trick!
Windows boots in about 1.5 seconds!
No more Texas Instrument IEEE1394 detection problems!!
I can finally get something going!
Thanks for EVERYONE for help and support. And a huge thank you to Carcamel for the solution!
I'll post this on the P5W DH problem + fix thread!
I'm off to re-install windows on AID-0, and clock that :banana::banana::banana::banana:!
:woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot:
Maybe you should remove the words Antec NeoHE 550w from your siggy:lol:
That's great the problem was fixed.
Hahaha.
Thanks. :)
Hopefully others having this problem will find this thread.
Well, if ya'll wanna stick to Antec...my new Antec Trio 550 works fine with my P5W DH.
I think SeaSonic makes the Trios though - that may be why.
Oke glad it works now. I have some contact with Antec and they say that when you have a PSU with the serialnumber begining with S0601 there are no problems anymore so mine was a S0511 now iam going to RMA this one and see what the new one do.Quote:

I even ran my RAM @ 470 MHz 5-6-6-18 thinking I was running 1:1 at 375 fsb (but in fact I had select 4:5, lol @ me).
Actually, everything but........ The video card
know this card could clock arround 550 on the core and 750 on the ram really easily.
Now, it won't even break a single MHz before it starts artifacting in windows. No overvolting or whatever. PCI/PCI-e locked @ 33.3/101.
Sprite test in 3dMark2001, everything at stock, displays lots of image corrupton. I think the video card's dud.
I don't know what could have caused that. I'll try the other PCI-e slot tonight. I hope it's not the board.
Just when I think everything's going great, this happens. When the fvck am I going to get something going good ? This is driving me insane. I hate Antec even more now if their :banana::banana::banana:ty PSU killed my videocard
Bigdisk,
Which rev do you have of the Antec PSU? I just bought one (rev.4), and I'm debating if I should return it for another brand after reading your thread.
I think it's more likely that maybe the psu is still a bit underpowered.Quote:

AFAIK, my card must be yet another victim of the 7900gt plague.
