It's a shame these haven't made it back to the states yet. :(
It came really well packed and everything very well organized .. good work by the manufacturer. The base is ridged but a few minutes with wet and dry will give a nice multidirectional non ridged lightly scratched surface which will accept the thermal paste well. I am not a great believer in perfect mirror finishes as you have nowhere for the paste to go to reduce the overall thickness of paste ( if you see what I mean ).
Compared to the Big Tornado initial impressions are very favourable.

Andy
I'm thinking of ordering this from kustom aswell. Can someone post pics of the base and the actual heatsink please. Thanks :)
Don't say that, I'm loving it. I've been buying half priced stuff from the US for months! :D.Quote:

The german shop I ordered from said they had stock (ebay) and I emailed them (using freetranslation.com :p: ) and they said something about the supplier not supplying the heatsinks. So it's been 15 days and hasn't been posted FFS. Now I need to try and tell them in German to give me a refund so I can buy it from Kustompcs...
ARGH, also Kustompcs has the lian li pc7 se+ that I want to buy...
Has anyone mounted one of these on a bare X2 core? i am wondering if the preset spring tension would still be usable to mount to the die alone. I suppose I can AS5 and remount my cap, but I would rather straight surface mount to the bottom of a lapped tower 120 if possible.
first all the partsQuote:

the base needs a good lapping. The finish of the ninja base is very good compared to the tuniq.

Yea no crap lol, i want one badly.
You know, if you email Graeme from KPCs, he's a cool guy. You guys should ask him to send a batch over. He'll reply anyways. Dunno what the answer will be.
But watch it! - They're running low!
Yeah that would be cool, anyone interested? If we could get a number, like 10 or something we might be able to get the shipping down to something reasonable.
revv,
I'd be in.
just ordered mine this morning YAY :D
is the thermal paste they supply with it better than AS5 or Ceramique? or should i use the supplied one
If you brought 10 yourself, you'd sell them easy. Only bad thing is that we have to pay stupid VAT which is extortionate, then P&P over to you guys is gonna be stupidly expensive.Quote:

I swear, if a vendor in the US shipped to the UK. 1) They'd be rich 2) UK places would probably go out of business!

Unfortunatly i dont have the funds to outright buy 10 of them.
We've got two people, the ball is rolling lol.
I emailed newegg about stocking them ill let you guys know if they reply.
I'm pretty sure you guys can claim VAT back form our government because you are outside the European Union - though don't quote me on that.
"I'm sorry to say, we have run out of stock of the Tuniq Coolers. Would
you be willing to wait for new stock arriving, or would you prefer a
refund?"
BASTARDS
looks like that idea is out the window.
Stock light is still green on Kustompcs.
