A-HA!!! nice :D
Do me a favour will you. Attatch the TT120 to the P5B and post some pics please? mainly looking for an overhead shot. I need to see how much the TT120 hangs / under hangs on the board. I'm desperate mate. PLEASE!
and a few pics in profile form. PLEASE! I'm worried I'll need to replace my 28mm fans!
BTW, What's with the 2x Asus mobos? You building 2 rigs? and what memory are those 4 sticks??
Ok il get that done when i get back from work tonight.Quote:

Laters :woot:
That tuniq tower is HUGE man. It'll cool that C2D nicely. Good luck with the build! ;)
Excellent m8. I'm 50 / 50 on it actually fitting in! - So you'd really help me here m8!Quote:

In a bit :D
Excellent m8. I'm not sure if this will help many others, but it will me! 2x 38mm fans in a P180 with a Tuniq Tower... it's gonna be fun if it works!
I've got the TT120 and the MOBO en route, but really hope I ain't gotta get a 25mm fan!
Just so you know where I'm on about, I need pics of where the H/S is. From profile "side on" angles as well (top of board and from the front of the boad (opposite to the I/O side) in profile.
Cheers m8.
Sorry for the crap quality but my phone doesnt do macro. Also what other angles you want mate....... side shots of the HS with the mobo on the desk ?
I wasn't sure by what else you wanted.

Hmmmmmmmm. I'm confused....
Thanks for doing it, and that way I know it wouldn't do what I want...
But seriously... why is yours in that way?
Coolaler did his one this way:
http://www.iamxtreme.net/coolaler/ASUSP5BDluxe/3.JPG
- To me that is the only logical way. The exhaust fan at the back of the case will push more cfm than the 120mm fan in the bottom of my PSU so will keep my cpu cooler.
- Also, with coolalers way, the tower will be taking heat straight from the back of the gfx which is less than ideal. Im going to put a 92mm panaflo in the sidepanel directly infront of the tower so the RAM + tower will get fresh cool air supply.
I could try and mount it tomorrow morning in the other direction, but i think it's gonna be a tight fit. O btw is your fan at the back of the case acting as in intake fan compared to mine as an exhaust?
:toast:
If you could mount it the other way please that would be ace :D - I'm getting too anxious for mine to come and get built!Quote:

Regarding the fans I have, the rear and top-rear are exhausting with an 80mm Delta sucking air in in the upper 5.25" bay and a 120x38mm sucking air in (you can see that one on it's own in the pic link below) in the middle of the case.
So you can see that there will be fresh air coming in from two angles. I've also purchased this: LINK HERE - SPECS HERE to see what that is like at getting rid of hot air from below the 7950GX2 (which can get very hot apparantly). But if it's useless or adds too much noise, I'll get rid of it!
Anyway, here's the pic so you can see what I was on about with my fans: LINK TO MY RIG IN IT's CURRENT STATE HERE!
Thanks again m8.
your rig is going to sound like a vacuum.... I swear no one in these forums cares about quietness :-)
lol. Well I can adjust the 4 noisy gits (3 Sanyo-D's and the Delta). The Sharkoon 80mm is meant to be quiet full stop and as I said I will take out that system blower if I feel it's doing nothing useful. It was only £3 so I thought "funk it" - it's worth a try as the 7950GX2's can let off a fair bit of heat.
The optional Antec that I may put in between the PSU and HDDs are quiet anyway imo. But just to help, I may set that to low or medium. But as I said, I dunno if I'm gonna put that in anyway. Chances are my Tuniq Tower won't fit in so it'll hvae to replace one of the 38mm thick fans.
Jesus. All this talk about fans is sending me giddy. Ach. It'll all pan out.... I hope!
Just to update.... THE TUNIQ TOWER FITS WITH 2x 38mm thick fans at the back! YAY! :woot:
Now only a few more things (2 mods and a monitor!) and it's all sorted and the benching begins!.. Oh and to try my best and tidy up the cables. Although the OCZ GXS ain't the best for Cable length! - So it's not gonna look the best!
2 pics here:

Man it is sure messy in that case >.<
I love the gear. Hopefully you can get that mess sorted out :D.
lol.
It would be nice too. It looks like I'mm gonna have to run the cables down the sides of the 5.25" bay and onto the floppy bay too. That way the air still goes through the middle and it won't make a difference when the cover is on as it'll "effectively" have the cables running as though they were attached to the side panels.
I don't recommend the OCZ GXS for the P180 now that I have it tho :(
That is quite a bit of alcohol mate :)Quote:
£100 saved on getting hammered
lol. It is indeed! But I'm not a lager drinker. More of a spirit man, so it wouldn't get as much "liquid". he he
This baby come today BTW:

Nice one mate.
I see the tuniq fit in nicely when hung vertically :woot:
Time for me to start a project build thread too :D
Yup it did fit well m8. Really well! loads of clearance.
I have a steady hand so it wasn't for me, did it easily... but it could be a bugger to someone else to screw in the upper left mobo screw.
The rheostat that comes with the TT120 doesn't fit properly in the slot. Well, it fits but it's a fight to get it through. I dunno why I put it on, it'll be constantly on HIGH setting.
The airflow is awesome. I have a Delta at the front, blowing through the TT120, which blows through the rear 120mm fan. If you look at the picture up the page, you can see what I'm on about.
The 120mm at the top of the cage don't actually help that much. It may when the case is all sealed up, but it actually slows the TT120 fan don't by around 50 - 90RPM. - Yes I'm that sad I studied it on Asus Probe. - but it's not that bad as it will take more heat from the most upper heatpipe / top of the TT120.
Either way the CPU idles at 33, and when that Delta is switched on, it drops to 31. - Case temp is 30, when Delta is on it drops to 27/28!
Well I think it's time I showed some sort of results!
After some OC'ing, temp shown is from within the CPU. Under the IHS:
Only put 1.4v to the CPU and 2v to memory:

I have one question about your rig Moomraker.
Is their a proformace difference that the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 has over the 7,200 rpm WD HDD's?
I'm asking because I have only used Wester Digital and I am seeing more and more reviewers and enthusiasts using this HDD. My searches has come up empty.
By the way your pc makes me what to... :bows: at you knees.
Thanks for the comment on my rig! - I'm loving it and the E6600 is just AWESOME!
I defintely find the Raptor quicker than the Barracuda. I've read reviews when it says that it's a few seconds here and there, but for me, I notice it. For definite.
I'd only recommend Raptor's if you have the money. Cos they are STUPIDLY priced for what they are. It's over £1.20 per megabyte here in the UK which is extortionate, but I guess it is aimed at a specific market (Servers, and now gamers).
I only got one because I didn't neet 640GB HDD space at all, and I didn't want to do RAID.
Also, my WD runs 5°c cooler than the Seagate, but having said that I guess that depends on where your fans are placed!
Here are some comparisons I just run with HD Tune for you:

[WD Raptor 74GB] [Seagate Barracuda 7100.10 320GB]
Thank you for the insight. Thoes images were exactly what I was interested in seeing. :)
No probs m8. Happy to help.Quote:
