I did 630/585 on stock cooler, and I am 700/700 on stock x1900xt cooler + 80mm fan on VReg.Quote:

It only sees like 55c now :)Quote:

I think the hight PWM temp is what's causing instability above 1.3v vcore. You could remount that little heatsink with some AS5, and maybe lap it.
Keep up the good work.
I thought so also, but I let the Pwms cool to ~42c, and as soon as I loaded 1.4 vcore, the computer froze.Quote:

1.3v is stable, and anything over that just isnt. The only guess I have is that the PSU isnt strong enough on the PCI-e rail to hold the load.
(Thermaltake 680w)
Either that, or 1.3v in ATI TOOL isnt 1.3v on the card, and that the card is seriously over volting...
:)
thats really good man. so what u using for 24/7 right now.
yeah i was really kicking myself cause i just couldn't get it to Australia........your retailers refuse to sell to us australians :(Quote:

I got my X1900AIW for $149 from ZipZoomFly a few days ago and have overclocked it to 702 core/702 mem. I mounted a modified Zalman 7000ALCU CPU cooler to fit on it. At those clocks it's great for 24/7 gaming.
For voltage I'm running 1.475 core, 2.14 on the mem.
My A64 is weaker than his Yonah, so my 3D Mark 05 score with the PC in my sig was 11,820.
->CPLB: how hot is the core and Vreg. in load/idle?
Highest I've seen after a few hours of gaming is 61C in a 25C room.Quote:

My parents use the AIW/Yonah to websurf and check email. It is the perfect thing for them, because it uses very little power and is fast :)
I use:
E6600/Asus WS PRO/4x 320gb seagates in raid 0 and raid 5/x1900 Crossfire Edition
I hope to get watercooling or a X1950XTX soon :)
Here is my experience with this card. I got it in canada for $320. At 1.325 core 2.102 mem it does 648 700. The temps on the core with a fan at 100%(open case) reach 85C then crash.
So I need a cooler. What is my best bet here? Watercooling, I can get a kit(less pump) for $15 CAN. I'm only doing this to see what this core has in it. :)
I'm gonne sell it as soon as the r600 based AIW card'd price stabilizes a bit.
thanks for the opinions
Wojtek
All the x1900xt coolers work well, but using more than 1.3v made my card crash.Quote:

648 on the stock cooler on core isnt bad! I only managed 630, and even then, it was not 100% stable.
I run a 420 watt psu, its an enermax 425 model...when I bump the voltage too high the card system crashes
So where do I get a cooler stock cooler?
Also it can do 1.575v stable with a 80 fan on the back of the card but once the core temps reach 85 it crashes.
BTW I got a:
opt 144 @ 2835 dfi ultra b at 315 at 1.475v
3d 06 = 5450
3d 05 = 11650

I have a crappy thermaltakes 660w in my Yonah comp, it might just be unable to provide the power.
I could swear this AIW needs more power than my other X1900, this thing pulls 52+ AMPs in ATI Tool.
@fhpchris im having problems too its triping the ocp on a pcpower 510 dlx
check it out in xtreme reviews
hey guys,
just got my aiw x1900 last week . the first time i OC it went 643mhz gpu and 550mhz mem and got a score of 11081 3dmark05. BUt now i cant seems to OC the mem . even at 20mhz OC on the mems it artifacts tremendously all over the screen. i can reach 690 on the gpu with 1.3volts.
i tried raising the mem voltage but it doesnt help. i really want reach 600mhz..

BTW im using stock HSF but put some AS5 on it.
was u able to O/C before applying the AS5 or after ?
