That was a good start, finally we some fun on 3D benching after a few years of frustation with coold buged CPU's :D
90K is possible, but not so easy with a X6800 and X1900''s CF, for my quick calculations will be needed a CPU that run all tests at around 5.250MHz / 5.300Mhz and 2 X1900's that can do more than 900-950 in CF in Nature (let's say at nature around 850FPS), and, of course, talend 3D benchers :D
With the ATI 1950XTX's in CF may be another story and that core and mem speeds may be even possible on air, can't wait to see :)
Of course the real 2001 Legends didn't lead their trumps yet : k|ngp|n, Kinc, Hipro5, OPPainter, Fugger, Shamino and Mr. Macci of course:D , just to name a few ;)
Going be a entertaining game and we really hope that can contribute to maintain 3D Mark 2001 alive ...
Was really fun to watch my friend Ricky to swear when we runnig a quick 3Dmark 2005 and say "what a stupid bench, all at one go" - of course he didn't see 3DMark 2006 or he will have a fit of nerves :D
Well I think you guys have the talented part ;)
Some impressive results for "ONLY" a 2 stage cascade and chilled water. Would be nice to see Ricky build a 3 stager. Enjoy the holiday though!
What's up with the mount on the CPU though? Looks like an uneven metal plate with some nuts. How do you tighten that on? You should try to get a nice even hold down plate and some wing nuts + compression springs like the kind that come with high end waterblocks and of course the mousepots ;)
Yes of course, that was an improvised solutions - that cascade was design for 2 graphic cards not for CPU :DQuote:

woah crazy scores... love that 3dmark05 score though :)
seems like alot of dust and dirt around that room there... :D

:toast: on your score with cascade and a very nicely written account ..always a pleasure to read.
I wish Macci and Opp would post some scores, macci especially .. I think he has his mind on other matters nowadays ..I wish he'd prove me wrong :(
90k is looking harder than I thought it would be ....

Andy
Well .. Ricky did not said exactly "stupid bench.." but someting more strong like "sh:banana: bench" and other words that can not be reproduced in public foruns :DQuote:

congratz! :toast:
great work!
90k soon i hope :woot:
10K over my wimpy 76K, very nice.
Hope your still on the bench, lets see an AM3 :toast:
Wow!
Incredible score!!!:woot:
I can't imagine your score with "non ColdBugged XTX"
Well Done job there guys, just like 60k points more than mine :s
damn that's really fast :slobber:
Big congrats to u and Ricky  :toast:
clean your cascade and monitor with Mr Clean :D :)
Congrats to both of you :toast:
Wow...I have no words to describe the astonishment...the amazement....you get the idea.
You guys are nuts...hopefully we'll see you nearing 90k soon...and things will definitely get interesting once the other "big boys" get into gear. :)
Congratulations, outstanding job as always :toast:
Too bad the X1900's are coldbugged, otherwise the 90k should've been much easier.
Nice!! :toast:
When someone manages to get all the best hardware together 90K will be a breeze ;)
i'm pretty sure that with this new video cards coming late this year.. 100k will be blow out :D
anyway krazey stuff out there
Portugal :woot:
Gongrats! :toast:
Have a nice holiday!!!
Wuhuu, Europe's back :)
omg great score! Thats 3 times as fast as my rig lol
90k is within reach :D
Congrats for both.
I wanna see that 3stage cascade :slobber:
It's always nice to see u both in front of the race... ;)
Let's see were this is gonna end...
Gentleman's...start your engines

Thank you guys :D
If that run was done in the Ricky's primary CPU a run at 5.000Mhz for Lobby's have ben possible and near 5.060Mhz in the other tests - we have done it in the previous day before the 2nd stage compressor stop working..
Anyway our main objectives for the run was achived: 1235fps for LL, 511fps for LH and 363fps do CarHigh - I really like that Car :D
Ricky is thrilled to rebuild the CPU cascade with 3 Stages, I do not have many doubts that, in their talent, the rebuild cascade can reach near LN2 performance - 130ÂșC load  Unfortunately the compressors are quite expensive here in Portugal and we don't have any supporter for that :(
If I can keep for a few more days, in the 3 stages cascade a near 5.200 Mhz run for all test maybe possible ...that will give us really nice number on those more CPU dependent tests : who knows ..maybe 1300fps 550fps Lobby number will possible D
This compare with the excelent 2001 run from Micutzu at a comparable CPU speed, can give a better idea of the current advantages and disadvantage of the ATI X1900CF over 2 Nvidia 7900GTX SLI in the Intel platform :
http://pedrorocha.planetaclix.pt/1lu...rcomNvidia.jpg
As expected Nature scores are much better on Nvidia, Nvidia are clocked at 870/1050 agaisnt ours 815/880 on the ATI - Nature is by far the test where the memory speed of the graphics cards counts more .
Also as expected, there is a clear Lobbys ATI advantage over Nvidia.. Lobby Low almost all the test on 999 :D
In CarHigh (my fav tesy:D ) ATI is also clear a winner ;)
I don't expected that Dragos score are so close, I really expected a clear advantage on the Nvidia give their much higger graphics memory speed
Like in many other things, the Intel Conroe change the computations - this CPU is one the most astonishing piece of hardware I ever saw ...even a AMD fan have to admint that - eheh I foresee a big smile on Fugger's face after reading this :D :D
