Sierra: The FSB #'s I quoted are examples. The reason I'm saying this in several threads is that so many people think it's either 1) They're doing something wrong, or 2) The components are duds. I've seen a guy who first RMA'ed his mobo, then memory ($350!) because of this issue. I luckily learned about this, right after I've got my stuff, from Gary Key (a great reviewer @AnandTech whose opinion I totally trust) so I knew what to expect. But there are manny puzzled people that are wasting their time and I wanted to help them.

ORB: I must have confused you with someone else. Sorry. There was someone whose board does 400x9 and memory does 1080 @266FSB and was upset because his memory doesn't do 4:5 @400FSB.

Rol-co: You are officially the 2nd person who shocked me in this "Xtreme" forum. With your Big Typhoon chipset cooling. :D I thought there was a chipset version of Big Typhoon out on the market. Even at first sight at the pic, I thought the Big Typhoon was sitting on top of the CPU until I look closer and found the phase. Scary stuff.

Sorry, but I don't trust any professional reviewers. In fact I stopped reading reviews a long time ago. I only trust my own results as well as the results of fellow benchers who I respect and who think like me. Does Anandtech get its hardware from the stores? I doubt it. It's probably sent to them from the manufacturers. That's a red flag, IMO. But I digress.

Overclocking depends on a lot of factors, not the least of which is the skill of the overclocker. I do believe I can get more out of a board than a lot of other people. Experience counts for a lot. Many people don't even know that disabling Hyper Path 3 helps a great deal with overclocking on the P5W DH. I found that out on my own. When I get a board, I go through the BIOS settings one by one. It's a very time-consumming process, but I learn a lot. People nowadays don't want to learn. They want everything handed to them on a silver platter. They learn nothing that way. And they are also the first people to give up.

ok,test for the desperate guy's here :D

vcore 1.40v
vfsb auto
vmch 1.63v (can't get it lower becouse of the mod)
vmem 2,55v

tried all dividers with 1m , and highest with 32m too, so i think the rest of the dividers will do the same :)
a little point @ my side,......looks like the memory need more voltage for this instead of the same speed @ lower divider and overclocked. dunno why... maybe its just me.

Put some fans off to heat up the chipset, i think he can do with less voltage too but isn't possible becouse of the modded board.

Whats voltage did you use for 3-3-3-5-20 480Mhz ?

How far can you go with those HZ with only 2.2v and 2.0v with those 3-3-3-8 timings ?
