Hmm I'm assuming you live near or in Silicon Valley:D
Amazing results, true multitasker!
Hmm I'm starting to think you work for Intel:para: :p:

wow, revision B0 kentsfield
also, nice to see someone representing the p5b deluxe, my future board
respeck
Great work as always Sierra. :toast:
nice sierra.......go go go
the corsair is running fast too on the asus board .....isn't it? dit you tried the 8000 ul's too?
Nice chip, a bit too expensive at this time , but will get one later.
Idles in the 40's. Load temps in the 50's and 60's. Watercooling might be a better option for this chip.Quote:

cinebench is the benchmark for kentsfield, highest i'm getting with the conroe is 1350
quied a diference :D
No, have not used the P5W yet for Kentsfield. Will eventually give it a try. Next step is single-stage cooling.:D
impressive cpu .youll hopefully come up at 4,2 with phase ,or more hopefully .;)

I hear Kentsfield might make 2006 to compete with AMD's 4x4. Any truth to this?

Does it overheat to the point that comp freezes or that it burns?Quote:

As I mentioned earlier, Max Tcase temp is 100C.
I decided to put the chip in my P5W DH. AndreYang was right. Maximum FSB is not as good as P5B. Only been able to reach 350. But the P5W DH BIOS I'm using (0088) allows me to use multipliers up to 20. This can be very useful with sub-zero cooling. For example, 350X12 = 4200MHz.

Try 701 or 901 they work perfectly, and omg you dont even want to touch coretemp to look at the temps as you may cry. Curiously what are your custom prime settings as I am using stress cpu are your custom settings better for stability testing?
Lastly since I am new to all these voltage settings for the P5W I have been using 1.6v mch 1.4v fsb 1.2v ich 1.45v vcore (seems to get 3.3Ghz only just) this is using 300fsb and 10/11 multy, would it be worth me selling this board and going P5B instead?
Thanks for any advice.
maybe better psu might help ?Quote:

When is this CPU due to release ???
Official release is Q4 2006.
I think the PSU is okay. kaz-n just set WR with Kentsfield and OCZ 520W.Quote:

I'm not sure the P5B reads temps correctly. Core Temp readings are 10-12 degrees lower. Also, I noticed lower temp readings when using the P5W DH.
Vdroop isn't too bad under full load. About 0.05v.

Slightly off-topic:) CAL930 has posted mods for the P5B Deluxe. 20-50K VR's

The 0405 bios allows for better running of 4:5 ratio on the P5B Deluxe. Though it's still not perfect.
