where have you heard that the g80 is 300w @ load? more than tripple than now, i dont believe it!
Info about DX10 cards being 300W draw was whispered around @ computex.
ATI & NV havent denied it, and they have mentioned that power consumption has indeed gone up. Theyve also been working with PSU makers about supplementary PSUs that fit 5.25" bays for your GPU... which strangely enough pump out about 350W each.
scary!
300W for a gpu...? OMG!
Wouldn't be suprised if X1950XTX used more power than GF 7950GX2. X1900XT are the power hungriest cards on the market. Also that block seems nice and if you would put it in separate loop for gpu only the flow restriction wouldn't be problem.Quote:

R600 and G80, thats another matter :)
Anyone know the ETA on this block?
or when eddy comes with one...!
EK version would be sweet.
Looks like a regular X1900XT consumes more the GX2:Quote:

i'd liek to just say as soon as i saw vapb400's sig i forgot what this topic was all about and said, out loud, to myself: "winnar"
not bad I just hate full coverage blocks like that, def looks like it needs its own loop. hmm i do have a mcp350/bip2 laying around.. no news on pricing?
the orientation of the barbs do SUCK though
