hehe mabey not the right thread to post this but i have to.
This is after their "all quality components" anouncment haha. not a big deal but lol who can spot the "quality worksmanship" on these pictures, i really hope they are seriously gonna try to get back up cause i didnt see this kind of stuff even on pc-chips :)
how its not like there aw8D board, no higher than 250FSB. Which is terrible IMO, for us overclockers. As far as I know most of there high end boards have one PCI slot. Its a PITA. the AW9D layout its atrocious. I wouldn't buy the AB9-pro, becuase with the inverted mobo tray of the lian li, I'd have to get a northbridge and a southbridge cooler
wow only 1 pci slot, interesting none the less. Thanks for the heads up Fugger.
The AB9 Pro should be hitting 400-450MHz+ FSB soon if not already with the current BIOS. This looks to be a good overclocking board. The AB9 Pro has two PCI slots unlike the AW9D. And why would you need to get both a northbridge and southbridge cooler just because you're putting it in a lian-li with an inverted tray? Mine is going in a V1000B as soon as it gets here.Quote:

Wow, the guru pannel looks very kick ass.
I can show it to you on an MSI & I'm sure that others could show it to you on other makes - when you make millions a few will slip through.Quote:

i dont know why people are complaining about the layout the mobo would work great in a btx/ inverted atx case.
Why wouldn't it work and what does it have to do with the Southbridge when the Southbridge isn't even connected to the heatpipe? I doubt the Southbridge gets all that hot does it.Quote:

I am also an abit fan.
Abit does have a Windows BIOS flash utility don't they? I would hope so since i don't have such things as a floppy drive any more.
As far as I know, they do.Quote:

Over 80,000 people stood up and answered the 50 question survey and the information we've gleaned has set us on the right track.
Firstly our branding strategy is much more in tune. We focus on the gamer with our Fatal1ty series (durable, stable and compatible). Of course as mentioned our max series is definitely a winner (extreme, fully featured, durable). Admittedly the AW8D should have more PCI slots. :slap:, but that should be addressed in the next version of MAX. Our Guru series for the mainstream is doing well now too with the AB9-PRO. Rest assured our guys are working day and night to keep the quality and standards better than ever before. :toast:
hicookie - Any more info on the AW9-Max? I looked around but couldn't find much.
Woohoo! I loved my Max3 and IC7-G!!!! Abit FTW!

Anyway I am definatly willing to go Abit for my next board after I see some more benchies and OC results and I want that damn guru pannel!
Sounds great! Have em keep at it with working on improving the BIOS on the AB9 Pro and other new Abit boards so as to improve FSB overclocks and memory performance. Here at Xtreme Systems i'm sure everyone wants boards that will easily do 400MHz+ FSB with their new Conroe processor.Quote:
