Good to see that you have made some progress. Keep the pictures coming...
How is the noise on the fans....
Well they were pretty quiet when I tested them. Actual loop wont be done before tomorrow though. its 3AM and I wanna sleep >_<
So far I've completed:
- NB and mosfet re-heatsink
- Proc de-IHS'ing and associated corner-padding
- loop dismantling
- Storm dismantling and cleaning and barb replacement
- FCX1800 dismantling (cleaning in process)
- cleaned the inside of the 50Z (ill be selling it) outside is taking a while
I've got the guide for the holes in the case taped on, I'll be doing that 1st thing tomorrow.
After that comes the soundproofing.
Once thats done I can finish up the other little tweaks to the case an put the mobo and soundcards and whatnot back in, then stick the HD box in.
Then I can size the loop and design the shroud.
Once the shroud is done I can (finally) assemble for leak-testing.
Hopefully I'll be done in time to go pick up the couple of fan cables I realized I'm missing.
Am I the only one becoming a Sloth Project junky?
Man I need the next fix! :slobber:
Feeling less wiped out after f00d, some pics up.
About damn time Mr. Oblivion :-P
And NO! I Am not doing your loop, as we discussed earlier via IM, unless you want to cut/sand/paint/wire/soak/sand/paint/measure/cut/clean my case/rad/rheobus/water blocks :-P.
And I have cake for you, but you are not getting any MUAHAHAHA ALLL MINE!
Oh and I know why Mr. Oblivious named his project "Sloth" cause he is taking forever to get it done :slapass: :nono:
I blame lack of cake.
What did you use to get the "rubbery glue" off the processor?
craft knife. scrapy scrapy scrape.
To do that your hands have to be steady, steady, steady. LOL
Nah. I tremble so much I've had people quietly inquire if I have parkinson's (i dont, for the record). Still manage fine.
pic os the cpu with the new rubber pads plzzzzzz
must be sexy :)
*points to 1st post*
I've actually redone them (larger now) to better cope with my "HULK SMASH PUNY PROCESSOR" method of block mounting, but I'm far too lazy to take another picture.
Unless, that is, someone were to provide me with cake.
wonder if fedex delivers your cake...
Wow, you must really like cake for it to be such a great motivator! :DQuote:

Man that brings me memories from few days ago...
soundproofing's done, pics later, too much effort -.-
U've got beyond yourself m8! :)
Keep it coming...
Am rinsing the 120.3 and leaktesting the new barbs on the storm atm. Reckon another hour and it shoudl be free of all vinegar residues.
ohhhhhhhh, i wanna see how your stacker comes out with your mods, love the HDD bay on the top, great idea, i think i might have to steal it *evil laughter*
Yeah... there's so much wasted space at the top of the Stacker 810, its either rad or HD bay, and seeing as I have *loads* of stuff sitting on top of the PC it had to be HDs.
Soundproofing pics up, yo =p
