Same here, if i can run at E6600 with 9x400 = 3.6Ghz i will behappy. And 2GB of memory running at 4-4-4-12-1T @ DDR2 800...well pleased.
Hate to be a stickler, i dont think retail chips will be overclock as well as the ES B1 5 chips( After seeing the results for the retail X6800 box) ... most of u can kiss that 400fsb E6600 on tower 120 dream good bye unless ur willing to burn some more money on WC/phase/TEC cooling
intel.....intel.....:shakes:Quote:

anyone place a bet with me that we will see hundreds of retail conroes overclocking just as fine as the stepping 5 ES in the weeks coming....
100$
lets hope so.......but i mean even if it is a little slower it can't be more than 200mhz i would thinkQuote:

E66 ES + DS3 soon
no good about the issue you are having
i've got the same board >> just waiting on CPU on monday and will pick up some ram...........my cpu will be E6300 though.....

is the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 best choice for 965P chipsets over ASUS and MSI ?
I really like the all solid capacitors and the price is good also
ditto dinos22
only running a celeron 326 at the moment with some 5400UL but will get a E6300 es soon too
Andre. how much vmch u used for the 418fsb?
im on auto everything for 400 FSB and then my ram pukes out
its just generic 667 so 800 is good.
i gotta figure out which ram to get.
the teamgroup 667 or the gskill HZ 800 .... probably the 800 im thinking but i dont know.
once i get some good ram i will know for sure how far she can go.
i am very disappointed that you can not set the ram divider below 1:1 that really limits clocking for guys like me with generic crap ddr II.
but still 3.6ghz 400mhz FSB on auto everything and vcore @ 1.3
thats a pretty fair overclock, i just wanted to hit 4ghz and call it quits. lol.
really :banana::banana::banana::banana: i didn't know thatQuote:

Keep pushing, you've almost inspired me to buy this board over the ASUS P5W DH.Quote:

this whole thing with the voltages,, boy i sure hope they fix that, i mean seriously.. what the fvk does +0.1v 0.2v and so one mean ? wtf does it mean when you cant even set the base voltage and nothing in the bios shows you what the base voltage is ?
someone somewhere has to have exactly what these each mean exactly.
set the memory speed to 533MHz in bios and then overclock , it will give you dividerQuote:

I must be the only guy to have gotten a bad mb. My luck with Intel mb's stinks. This one can't even hold Explorer at stock settings without it saying there is a problem and Explorer has to shut down.
I still can't raise the FBS to Even 267 and have it post.:(
Why me?
Looking good PcC:toast:
If I can run 450x8 on this board prime stable with the E6400 I'll be happy. Given people have gotten their to 480 or more, seems like it should be doable.
I'm fairly certain all these processors, from the E6300 all the way up to the X6800 have the ability to overclock to roughly the same level in GHZ, whether they can or not is dependant on the motherboard's ability to handle them and their FSB needs. How many are really going to be running prime stable at 4.5 ghz or something like that regardless of what chip they have?
3.6 is plenty for me... 450x8
my DS3 with E6600 ES step5 max fsb stabe coeff 7x:)
I can boot @ 414 but no more ..
I think with it's possible to make more
clockgen don't work with the same pll as the giga dq6

The thing that really makes me  is it will prime at stock. I set it this morning before work and just turned it off a short time ago.
