To be complete :
CPU Model: E6700ES step 5, B1
CPU Clockspeed: OC 3600MHz (prime stable)
CPU Voltage: 1.45V
Motherboard: Intel Bad Axe 302modded
Bios : 1304

Idle: Core1 41°C, Core2 38°C
Load: Core1 55°C, Core2 53°C

Utility Reading Temps: Core temp, IDCC
i tend to agree with the previous comments regarding temp, before C2D i had a P4C 3,2 that was around the same temperatures the probe reads but ejected air nor the fan was as cool as with the same temp reading on the C2D
CPU Model: E6600 Retail
CPU Clockspeed: 3Ghz

Heatsink/Block: Scythe Ninja+
idle 42 /load 54 (dual prime @ 60°)

ps : the CPUz reading of vCore is crap, or you have a more recent version ^^

Heatsink/Block: boxed
Fan: boxed
Idle/Load: 40-45°C / 55°C
Ambient: 25°C
Utility Reading Temps: easytune5 (same temps as bios)
but fan starts full power at 60°, so this is 100% silent for me(1500rpm, i can only hear my 1900xt ;) )
have you gues tried a remount ? apparently the 4 pin stoch HSF is very tricky and ppl are reporting MUCH MUCH better temps after few remounts...
any more readings ?
well like i said i am using a ninja with 110cfm denkie at 7v more cfm then a yateloon. now i used the ninja with singe yateloon and it kept a 530j @3.6ghz@1.4v at 46-48c load from abit eq. so i dont see how it would be worse on a allendale. the wierd thing is under load the hs is not even warm at all. yes i have re-cliped(sk478 style) the hs 4 times already, i dont want to waste any more as-c on remonts.Quote:

well i'm running dualprime now for my e6600 and coretemp report the temp is 72C ! then i touch the heatsink it is nowhere near that! it's not hot at all. i can even let my finger stay at the heatsink for a few mins if i want..Quote:

if you got bad contact, this would happen or the temp reading is false. i would check this.
in my opinion this temp is just GREAT. 1500rmp with 55° dual full load ! WTF, this fan can do more then 3500rpm !Quote:

all i need is a fan conrtol, so it starts to get faster at lower temps. with that, i'll never reach anything above 45°
but at 71c the hsf surely is hot... hmm i dunno. it depends to ourselves whether to believe it or not :D
Not if you have bad contact, and with all those rumors of concave IHS on conroes, high core temps and cold HS would be symptoms to consider.Quote:

Not sure but it seems readings are a bit off. BT heatpipes are not hot at all :)

I like those temps, better than my coolest Norythwood back in the days
@ selder :
how do you tell your fan at which speed it should run ?
the gigabyte program don't works, but i want to tell him to get faster even with lower temps (can't hear it anyway with x1900xt activ)
its not rumors of convcave IHS on conroes... its true on OEM modelsQuote:

Dual Prime Stable however I am concerned about temps. I never see them hit 60c however I do see it climb to 56-58.
i have got a 4 pin connector, but what to do with it ? i just plugged the cpu fan-cable in the cpu fan-cable slot on mobo. that's all.Quote:

isn't there an easy way to put the full-speed limit down to lets say 50 or 55°C
My 1.6v 3.7GHz 6700 hits 82c under load with a Ninja, yet the Ninja is barely even warm to the touch (including the heat pipes).
Also, if I clock the voltage under 1.5v, even at the same MHz speed, the load temp drops all the way down to 68c immediately, which tells me that the Conroe temp sensor is sensitive to overcurrent and is likely bugged.

It did it with my 6400 as well, there was basically a voltage cut-off point, where if you went even 1/10th higher it would report a wildly hotter idle/load temp. For example, on my 6700 it idles at 38c when the volts are below 1.5v, and 58c when the volts are above. No way going from 1.5v to 1.6v could cause such a heat jump, period. Especially when the PWM, the Ninja, and everything else doesn't rise a single degree either under idle or with the CPU loaded.Quote:

I know Coretemp idle is about 40~, unsure of load.
try touching the base of the thing too see how hot it is... then touch the cpuQuote:

dont worry, u wont burn urself unless the cpu is 126c... like my vid card burned me when i was testing how hot it was
Glad to have found this thread my E6300 OEM is currently dual priming at 3.2ghz with 1.475v and core temp says 65C and again my ninja is cold to the touch. I have already tried a reseat im putting my retail 6600 in at the weekend though hopefully it will give better temps
EDIT: oh by the way hi to all this is my first post
Well it sure sounds like people are touching the fins on the ninja. I am going to take a guess here but I have a feeling the fins NEVER actually get hot to the touch no matter how hot the CPU is. I have yet to hear a single person say there ninja was hot tot he touch. Either all of our ninja's are mounted bad or they just don't get hot on the fins. Try touching the HS below the fins.Quote:
