pics... one question though - the controller is altering the speed/voltage to the fans it is controlling.. is it also supplying varying voltage to the compressor? I thought it would be and on-off situation not a variable voltage one?
the extra long tube going to the cpu is to allow me to plumb my x1900 back in (if persivore can repair it)

Any progress Gary? I want to see the chiller doing its job
I opened up the front of the box where the condensor is with 2 x vents (brown building type ones you get from B&Q) and still need to get two of the 120mm fans to pull air out over the compressor. Even opening up the front has made a difference.. It hasn't stalled yet but then the temps haven't been as high. I am a bit busy to do any comprehensive testing at the moment (and it isnt as hot)
Good news though - it holds my cpu - chipset - gpu and mosfets at 27-idle and 34 load. That is with water set to 20c. Also i went in my study last night to check emails and went to turn pc on.... it was already on. My major goal was to reduce noise and heat in study whilst having better than wc temps. This has been a success.
I will probably drop water temps to 15c and see if i get any condensation..
Overall very happy with chiller - just need to give that box some more attention.
looks great, i wish my room was on the first floor so i could do something similar to that
Set it so your returning coolant is 20C if not all ready set this way due to the length of your lines.
loop order...
pump>through wall>pc>through wall>chiller>res>pump
thermostat is in the res - does it really matter where the thermostat is? i can set temp up or down as i wish.
ok so it is set to monitore the return. Yes the placment matters as it will effect temps by a bit.
thanks for the trelpy m8. of no consequence now as i am selling the chiller.
