Beautiful mounting kit you have there (and some nicely taken pics of them too).
I noticed that you've got S462 mounting holes there, but they're really close to the wall of the enclosure - even though very few people still use S462 (particularly under custom phase) it's just something to note. Without some sort of spacer there it looks like it'd be impossible to get the wing nuts all the way down.
Congrats though, they're looking really good.

Decided to install it today on my little Vapo mockup system. Basically a Vapo with a larger compressor, using R290. Evap idle's around -43c.

C-Washer & neoprene ring to slide over the suction line. I use 1 x C-Washer this time with thicker neoprene ring. Which will give the evap a cushioning effect when being tightened down onto the processor.

There is a bout 5mm clearance from the housing. But when I tighten this onto the processor it should be pretty much flush with the doughnut, when I apply some pressure to it. This should give a very even mount.

I left it idling for 6hrs today with evap hovering around low 40's. There was no condensation on the outer housing or on the hold down plate whatsoever.
Hoping for some larger evaps for testing shortly.

Haha that looks awesome on it, although seems a tad overkill :lol: Any plans to make a GPU kit for units like that? Seems that the little units from your dismembered vapos would serve better as GPU coolers, but even then they didn't too bad under that opty you had one under a while back.

Hahah and dispite their internal design. Goes to show that you don't need ultra fancy evaps for reasonable temps.

Hmm, I'm just wondering how well this insulation works when using a small evap such as the lil vapo one you made an example of before, mounted onto a CPU with IHS installed. Does the corners of the IHS not push the foam doughnut up and break the seal ? Just a thought.

What I mean is if the IHS is lifting the doughnut up, then it will break the seal between the doughnut and the mobo. Does your design require an extra piece of foam around the socket or not ?
Sorry I can't explain it too well. Can you post a picture of it mounted on a CPU with a small diameter evap please ?
The ihs cant lift the doughnut up no matter how hard you tighten the housing down, the doughnut is held in place by the C-Washer, just like the evap.Quote:
