Do you have a BIX to compare? Can you tell me the difference in # of tubes? The GT definately has thinner ones, but I cannot say how many there are on the BIX, as I don't have one here to compare.
I didn't count the tubing in the rad but the BIX is much wider then the GT360. The BIX would flow with just running water, the GT does not. GT360 require pressure to get it to flow down the tubes and out the other hole on top. The BIX II only requires running facet water. The GT360 is restrictive so keep that in mind if anyone wants to buy one.
However, the GT fin design is superior to the BIX II. I can blow my breath on the rad and get better air flow then with the BIX II.
I am not sure how the D5 will fair with this but it does appear to require a lot of head from the pump if you ask me.
Right now I am runnig 2 141CFM and 1 74CFM fans on it.
Temp at idle are (it fluctuates) 33.5C and 34.5C still testing.
If I were to recommend a pump I would say that a RD30 would be your bet with a storm and GT rad combo. IMO
My D5 seems to work pretty well with it. Keep in mind my temps are from d5->CPU, so despite the extra heat dump, the GTS seems to handle the heat from my system rather well.
sorry for bringing back an old thread but can u show me please a pic to ur case without the side panel, cause i wonder how long is ur t-linesince u have a 120.3 rad so i would like to know how did u manage to get all fo the air from ur loop with this setup
I put it on its side while bleeding. The "T" now resides in my lowest empty 5.25" bay.
ic, ok thanks
no need for pictures now :P
