I think perhaps it's safe to conclude that Zalman is synonymous with heatpipe problems. I've got a CNPS9500 with 7C higher temperatures than when I bought it that says so. :nono:

Weird.
42C idle 65C load here with a 7900GT @ 1.5v and 675Mhz.
Stock cooler was over 60C idle, and that was at stock volts!!
Zalman is a korean company I think and I don't trust korean stuff. Better than chinese stuff but its so mainstream that the quality isn't that bad.
Biggest BS I've ever heard. Do you even know Korea, or better, South-Korea? :confused: You sound like you're being prejudiced, ever had a Zalman cooler in your hands?
i just installed one on a bfg 7900gt the other day. dropped my load temps 20c! never had a problem with zalman either, nice stuff imo
