No, the i975x chipset runs always at 2T so there are no issues with 4 dimms :)Quote:

Seeing coolers post re: the MSI 975 Plat seems to be owning eveything with the conroe. 460 fsb bus on that sucker? I really don't know what dfi can do to improve Msi and Asus's ability. Although DFI made great 939 Boards, they have quirks in them that piss you off. I m curious as to what comes out of it in the intel camp. June huh? Means theey will be here in aug.
No Intel North chipset on anyone of them?.......Not good......:(
There are 975 chipset DFI's coming out as well Hipro.Quote:

But I thought the DFI 925x was pretty good? *Please correct me if I am wrong*
I could be a BETA tester of the 975 one........:D
Don't forget to report here!:DQuote:

Not so on the Intel side altough there have been some remarkable Intel based DFI boards . ;)
Two words:
OSKAR WU
period.
my dfi 939 rox, love it!
i hope there is an intel one just as good for when i try out conroe.
buyin the 1066 ram will be the killer.... :( so expensive
Hopefully we can get 800 ram and clock it up.Quote:

I hope DFI does, knowing Oskar's reputation with AMD boards.
But yeah... not looking forward to spending $450+ on ram.
£350 in uk! which times that by 1.9 is what we pay in $!
personally if there is more than 2 colours on a mobo i think it looks rubbish.
im lovin the yellow and orange.
blue and silver for intel wud own.
DFI OC options on here rock!
Ummm...Just in case you didn't know....Oskar Wu designed the ABIT BH6, BP6, and IS7 - all considered some of the best INTEL boards of their respective generations. Oskar has more of a history with Intel than most Intel "dudes" do :rolleyes:Quote:

So you only need dual channel DDRII-533 (PC4200) for full bandwidth at stock speeds.
Thank you for clearing that up for me.Quote:

well not exactly ;) the Cores are identical. but because the Cache is 50% of the whole size errors might occur there (in former times the Cache was even bigger). because of this manufacturers add extra Cache so that they can disable some Rows but still have the full size. if there are far to many errors this isn't helping any more and so there are the models with less cache.Quote:

but errors can occur in one of the Cores as well and that's why I wonder why there aren't any Single Core Conroes.
this supports my theory that Meroms are selected Conroes. Single Core CPUs then might be used in cheaper Notebooks (with Core 2 Solo).
so, btt... I'm really looking forward to seeing how well the DFIs will perform. up to now with Intel you only have these choices:
1. Asus
2. Asus
3. Asus
4. Asus
5.... etc
and especially I want to see how well the nVidia and Ati chips will do :D hope there'll finally be a competitor to the 975X (ICH7R *pah*) ^^
Has anyone else seen the Intel roadmaps on Dailytech? Apparently 975X doesn't have a replacement slated... so might have to go for P965 boards if we want ICH8.

I've heard talks of 985....Quote:

I like better ASUS than any other, I don't see anything wrong with that, just like there are lots of you that like "X" better than "Y".
ASUS has not let Intel overclockers down ever, I seriously think they're going to let the rivals take their reputation as being the absolute best for Intel systems.
 asus=v-mods!
The one with i975 and the one with ATI RD600 look really good.
I have always had ASUS mobos for Intel processors. I'm sick of voltmodding mobos. Now is the time for me to try several other brands: DFI, Albatron (if supports Conroe), MSI... they all look good.
DFI, in my opinion, can do very good things. In 939 boards they did an awesome work. I just expect a similar board for Intel, full of tweaks and capable of providing huge vcore and vdimm values.
Looking forward for the Infinity 975X/G and the RD600 to be released.
