Yep... Ditch the screensaver.
thx for the guide. got everything goin so now i'm crunchin for XS w00t! just out of curiousity, whats the minimum amount of RAM that u can have? I have some Pentium III's that i can only get 384MB into right now.
512mb is a kinda minimum, but less ram might also work fine if the pc aint used for other things.
thats all it would be doin, with a super tweaked XP install

x2@ 2700 :)
a P4 1.5ghz with 256mb of PC133 was fine for rosetta
My lappy has 128MB Ram.! :)Quote:

Yeah I got the same thing today trying to add another comp... Hmm whats going on...
Hmm I added several today with no trouble from the server....Just problems trying to get the decrepit old junk to not over heat.
Where's these magical tweaks?
That's what my benchie says with my 3000+ @ 2.7Ghz. Ill soon get a 3700+ @ 3Ghz with some 300Mhz TCCD behind it ;)Quote:

w-t-f ... prescott 2.4 @ 3.6 w/ 2 gigs of ram... sure its not the best thing out there but it should be better than the example's sempron 1.7ghz :slobber:
optimization please!! :P
Edit1:
Using optimized client:

Seems like rebooting fixed it =)
Prescott 2.4?? Should that not read 3.4?!?
My mistake. Of course its the 2.4A sorry... just gonna crawl quitely away!
Nope! 2.4b!! That's the prescott one with 533 fsb, not northwood. Its unbelievable I know, I first pushed the cpu up to 3.4 on a p4p800-vm because I wanted this to be for a server, then, seeing how well it overclocked, I decided to get a real board and use it for myself! So yeah, 2.4 @ 3.6 (fsb 533 --> 800) my ram is only running at 200, so its a pretty good system IMO. Getting 38 sec on superpi 1M... sure its not the last intels but hey, it works better than my 2700+ @ 200x11Quote:

Very nice guide, much appreciated. Just signed up and am running it now
I heard that Rosseta can be used as a stress tester better than Prime95, ive already downloaded the program and join xtremesystems so how do i make this program as a stress tester .. and will it also show error results like prime95 ?
