i wonder how good the nforce conroe will oc. i hope it ocs just as good as the intel!
DFI Infinity 975X/G
Crossfire, launch in May
LGA775, DDR II, ATX, 975X+ICH7R
CF PCIeX8/X8,PCIeX4, PCIeX1, 2 PCI
4 SATA II, 2 IEEE1394, 8 USB2.0
GbE LAN, 8CH Audio, E-SATA

I'm going to try both the 975X/G board and their RD600 board. Great that DFI will produce these boards.
RD600 board will support DDR3? That's interesting, too.

DFI will be releasing a lot of motherboards this year. Everything should be featured, from the most basic motherboards to the super high end ones. The LP UT nF590 SLI-M2R/G will replace the nF4 SLI-DR Expert, with an NVIDIA chipset, offering AM2 and providing extreme performance and overclockability. All features that mark out DFI motherboards, such as CMOS Reloaded and EZ On will remain present. Crossfire users will be glad to know that a Crossfire-ready motherboard is on its way too, the LP UT CFX3300-M2R/G, will bear similar features to the NVIDIA-based motherboard. Socket 775 will not miss out, DFI will offer the LP UT C19SLI32-T2R/G, a SLI, Conroe ready motherboard with all the bells and whistles.
Probably not but I know I would love it...:DQuote:

Merom/yohan was just a stop gap measure..Quote:

like was said earlier - it will be a shame if the only 975x board is an infinity range. they use cheaper caps and have less potential imo.
Memrom is the replacement for Yonah, Yonah is a mobile chip.
Conroe is a desktop chip ( desktop version of Memrom) so that is why DFi are not making a motherboard for either.

Andy
Very true but fortunately caps are replacable.. Core logic on the other hand is a different matter.Quote:

Hmmmm anyone know if DFI will be moving opnto digital power regulation with these new boards? The Albatron board looked really interesting, but if DFI can "follow suit" then it would definatly be worth investigating. Also why all this negative chat about infinity boards, iirc back in the NF2 days the only difference between the Infinity and Lanparty range was the price tag and amount of extra crap you got in the box :p: Lets first see what DFI make of the X975 chipset then comment on the "cheapness" of the board.
lets hope DFI have done some magic with the fsb limitations and all the conroe mobos will do 600fsb :woot:
wow way too many models for me.
Glad i inspired the guys at TPU :clap:Quote:

Max TDP is only 80W against Dempsey`s 130W.
Low-power models like 5148 with 2.33GHz/4MB L2 Cache/1333MHz and price of $519 will consume 40W

Does anyone know if a Xeon 5130 would outperform a Conroe 6600 because of its higher fsb?
I thought all Woodcrest based systems are Dual-cpu + 1333Mhz DIB (like Bensley's 1066Mhz DIB today) instead of 1333Mhz FSB....
All the cpu's interact with a 1333 bus, its the chipset thats DIB.
DFI looks interested in the mobile on desktop market, It wouldn´t surprise me if they made a 945-479 mobo.Quote:
