How about the L12 cut which seemed to help my 2800+ T-Bred run more stable on the epox. Do you think that may also help here?
Also, what sink were you using for the air cooling?

the L12 i am not sure yet.i might cut it anyway tonight it causes no harm to cut it.only set the default setting to 133 bus.and who cares about default setting anyway lol.......
i am using a sK7 I keep around for for times like this...
to make it clear newer boards only are able to fully unlock(5-24) tbred's with default multiplier of 13 and higher!!!!
with tbred's which have default multis of 12,5 and smaller only multiplier from 5-12,5 are slectable.
you are excately right.if you install a chip with a 13 and higher multiplyer you will be able to change your multiplyer.:)Quote:

So that would be a 3000+, not the 2800+ unfortunately.
So pull out those pins then :D :banana:Quote:

:D
bowman, you're not still on air cooling at this point are you?
no i went ahead and hooked up the evaperator.chip seamed to not like over 1.9v on air.and i was getting impaient.i think it will run 2.6 on a high end fan and heatsink.water it would be easy.Quote:

but now i am still running loops of 3d2001 with no problems yet @1.95v core 2.634mhz:D
i think it wil go 2.8 or better before i am finished........:toast:
I didn't think you were still on air, although it would have been awesome if you still were! Anyway, I think you'll make 2.8 too (with a bit more juice)! Good luck!
My oem 2800 Barton has all the same markings and dates as your retail one, except instead of 0304RPAW, it says 0304WPAW.
Year 03 Week 01. But Week 01 was the last in 02.Quote:

I'll make sure to check back tonight. Keep up the good work bowman, would very much like to see you hit 2800Mhz. Hoping mine will clock at least as high as my 2700+, which tops out at 2863Mhz.
That is incorrect as far as I know, regarding the Mults.. I have a XP1700 (mult of 11X) and am running it now at 15 x 166 FSB flawlessly. Without any changes to the chip itself. :)
/Damir
I am still breAking my XP2700+ in, but at 2.88g I believe these Bartons will be like comparing the original thunderbirds to the first xp's.
I keep hoping that these things will crack 3G eventually.
Hard to tell w/ the early steppings.
BRUNO
The egg. (fed ex saver came in 2 days across the country) I meant 0304WPAW by the way.Quote:

2.75 is nothing to cry about... Thats about a 3ghz tbred aint it for PR rating? Dayyyyyyyum. :).
Bowman it could be your Mofsets overheating on your 8rda+ not allowing you to be stable art 2.05 do you have any heatsinks on them?
