easy vmod to 1.4v

That is the same thing as conecting point A to ground for .2V increase, thus 1.2+.2.Quote:

Guess2098, original pics came from XS..

thx for the info, i was asking for original qutoe and he told me it is from XS too. guess i am not really pay attention with 7900gt heheheheQuote:

That should be enough voltage to keep most of us happy, right? ;)
Over@locker, silver paste prolly wont work as it isnt conductive. They often remove the conductive capabilities.
Dear friends
I've followed the instructions to get +0.2V using this pen but still stuck to 540/890
http://www.decon.co.uk/english/dalo33.htm
I asked for a conductive ink pen but I tried with my multimeter and it seems not to be conductive....
could you tell me if this the case?
apart the possibly wrong pen, is it ok the work i've done?
It's not necessary to touch the BIOS, is it?

When you only use the red trace, you will have 0.05Volt increase.
When you use Red plus Yellow, you will have a 0.15Volt increase
When you use Red, Yellow plus Purple, you will have a 0.35Volt increase
Example
1,4v Mod + Red + Yellow + Purple will be 1,75v?
Great post! I can't wait to give this a try.
Just wanted to point out a typo in the OP. In the second part of the post is the line "Of course you can also connect a single point to get what you want, f.i. ground point B to get 1.4Volt. ", but B is the +0.1V pin, not the +0.2V pin.
I'm going to start with 1.4 and see how high she'll go :)
your mod looks correct. If the ink is conductive, when you measure the resistance between those two points, it should be very low (ie near 0). Otherwise, the ink is not conductive.Quote:

It looks like it IS just a blue marker pen :slapass:Quote:

Thats is why you use tape ;)Quote:

ViperJohn does it all the time :)
That costs 24 euros here at the local car parts shop here in Holland... I use silverglue which only costs 6 euros :)Quote:

i made the 1.4v today i mesure with multimeter aand i got 1.39v
That's not enough LOL.... make it 1.55v and search your maximum corespeed ;)Quote:

Today I went to the supplier and the guy confessed he didn't know what was a conductive pen, and asked to a colleague.
They had silver and copper conductive paint, I went to the cheaper one since it's not supposed to carry a lot of current...
anyway I'm not sure it went done: the paint wouldn't stick a lot to the surface and comes away easily when you remove the scotch used as a mask...
I have increased the freq from 540 to 610, showing bizzarre behaviors: arctifacting, a little hesitation, some 3DMark crashes and after it run without arctifact.
Does nVidia driver roll back to lower frequencies if you pushed it too much?
For what I read in the previous posts, the vmod would work from beginning, so any BIOS mod is not needed, isn't it?
Anyway I'll try with a multimeter even if I'm a little afraid with all those lilliputian pins and traces on the pcb....
Thank you all for the patience but this is my first vmod, even on a brand new expensive card like this - not as the GTX, this for sure :D
yes. nvidia roll bak to default frekuencies when you push to hard .
regards
i make the easy 1,4 md it works (1,392 ) now how can i get easy 1,50 or 1,55
it that the right way???

if I make that 1,55v do i need to remove the overcurrent resistor?
