ok thanks,i will give that a try
i give up,it still just run 7 cpu's WU's and one cpu+GPU WU?
Did you restart BOINC completely after making the xml file? It should clear all your old WU's and replace them with GPU WU's only.
yes,and when i started boinc after work today it i had a message in the boinc panel saying file referenced in app_info.xml does not exist:wcg_hcc1_img_6.56_windows_intelx86__ati_hc c1
You have an extra space at the end there. It should be hcc1 not hc c1.
ok is this right now?
Code:<app_info>
<app>

<user_friendly_name>Help Conquer Cancer</user_friendly_name>

well now it looks as WCG isnt giving me any WU"s,they must be down or something?
Looks like I'll be flushing the queue on a machine.
Just got another 6950, and I have a 5870 on the way (They were cheap enough).
What about a combined app_info file for ati and nvidia in the same rig?
I don't think BOINC really likes different cards in the same rig. I've run into problems with a 3870 and a 4890 in the same machine before.
My one rig has a GTX670 and a Radeon 7850 crunching fine. However in order get get both working with app_info I had to create two instances of boinc. One with ATI app_info and the other with Nvidia app_info. I tried combining them but it wouldn't get any nvidia WU's. Been running two days like this.
I tried the GPU + HCC app_info file. Now i don't get any new work?
Got it working again again by detaching / attaching the WCG project from the boinc manager.
I think that's the same as a 'reset project'
My app_info file was gone after that (i guess the folder is deleted) so you'll have to put it there again.

spy vs. spy. awesome. can one even buy mad magazine anymore?
sorry for the off topic.:D
Maybe we can link this thread over to the Everything you need to know thread....
I think someone needs to create a thread that consolidates all the multi gpu stuff into one and add that to the sticky.
I have been thinking of doing it myself but gotta find the time.
Excellent. Thanks for the link.
One last question (hopefully for a little while), what program did you use to down clock your gpu memory frequency?
Reason I ask is my memory setting doesn't seem to be sticking, with CCC or Afterburner (card is a 7970 on beta 12.11 driver). Under load, the memory shoots up to default frequency. GPU frequency appears to be obeying what I set.
My 7870 is doing the same thing. I can no longer down clock on 12.11 beta in AMD Overdrive. Maybe a bug, I might try the beta 4 of 12.11 over the weekend.
Hey guys, long time no see, this looks great, I have a couple 5970's a 5870 and a 5770 I will try to throw at this tonight. Right now I am getting a message stating that the project is shut down for maintenance but I will let you know how it goes.
