18-19% gain...that's definitely not enough. Nice attempt though.
BTW, why did they make the 965 dual GPU capable in the first place? At least 2X8 would have been cool...Ill stick with 975X.

Yeah, I would expect at least 50% gain minimum. After all you are paying 100% of the cost for having SLI!
I guess that x4 is really crippling performance on the highend, I wonder if we'll see similar results with lower end cards.
how much volt you have on the mch? on the ds4 if you have +0.30v it produces lower performances in 3D ;)
coolaler, where did you get the drivers?
what is limiting? the 4x pci-e or bad drivers?
coolaler how it compares with your [SLI@965Chip?!]Gigabyte 965P-DQ6-6Quad review? is it asus bug?
I did some SLi testing on my 965 board (Gigabyte DS-4)
Setup:
Retail E6600 @ 3,15GHz (coolaler 3,5) (stock cooling)
Gigabyte DS4 (1xPCIe 16x 1x PCIe 4x)
Asus SLi bridge
2x XFX 7900GT (1,5v/2v) air cooled
OCZ PowerStream 600Watt
2x512MB D9GMH (Transcend)
85.96 modded drivers
winXP
Results:

P5W DH here at 3.4ghz E6600 and 2x7900GTX 85.96 drivers my SLI setup gets 10,768 in comparison to my A8N32-SLI w/2.7ghz X2 4400+ I was getting 9,200 so 975 kicks butt even though not officially supported SLI runs optimal.
What about with a single card on the Conroe dude?
i cant find a working link to the 85.96 hacked drivers or any other drivers that will enable sli on the p5w. i have a second gt, and my 6600 (week26) came by fedex about 20 minutes ago from monarch. if i had the drivers i would be glad to do some testing/bencmarking.
very truly yours,
politenessman
wah...ds4 can run sli with 85.96 hacked driver...yayyy...
what's next...kentsfield on ds4? if it does, this ds4 is bang for buck...
kentsfield runs on DS3 even heheheQuote:

So we can safely say there has to be a bug here with the P5B , seems the lower clocked , limited fsb ,less ram , slower video cards wipes the floor with the P5B Sli Setup.
DS4 seems to be the board left out of the picture on xs.org :P
With the P5B_D you need to force the 2nd PC_e16 slot into X4 speed by going into southbridge chipset configuration....[X2/X1 Mode(compatible)] [X4/ disabled Mode (Fast)]
So just make sure it's set to disabled and not Compatable then retest.
he's actually rightQuote:

Overclocked 7950 GX2 for teh win. There's nothing I can't play @ 1680x with whatever amount of filtering I desire.
Card runs very well under BIOS 0507.
OOOh new hardware, happydays  show us what it can do DinosQuote:

Thankyou Coolaler! I have been thinking about SLI on P5B as well :) Shame about poor score scaling. Hope some BIOS digging and tweaks can get scores up, if the Giga board can do better :)
Kenny
p5wdh is i975 :)
we're taliking about i965 with de 4x pcie slot that limits performances of such settings as sli or xfire witch is not the case with 975 as it has 2 16x slots
Search is not really your friend eh ? :stick: anyways here you goQuote:
