Imagine that chip with 1,7 or 1,8 volts and pase change cooling. Damn we need a decent mobo. Come on ASUS ... wake up :stick:

wow, this results are great! cant wait to see it under a 3stage cascade... some new pi records would be for sure!
hm, I think 3 gig would be easy with a slight vCore increase. or is the FSB limiting here? would be a shame :( such a good chip :(Quote:

This is one of the best threads here in quite a while. Nice work Coolaler!
haha!u known chinese:toast:Quote:

One thing that I've yet to see mentioned: Is the CPU power hungry when overclocked? How does it compare to an X2?
wowowow very nice!!!
Now just need 10x multiplyer. :D
what gpu clocks?Quote:

Have you noticed any instability at the higher clocks? What is limiting your clock now? Thanks
can you reach 3 ghz? with those volts?
3GHZ is already reached at page 4 at 1.29v I believe.
not completely stable tough
60K will be easy soon :)

Very nice results, you are close to Macci speed now based on the >300FPS LH he posted in one of the first Conroe threads. I estimated he was at 3Ghz as well.
My timer is almost up to post more results.
Do me a favor and disable one of your cores in bios and try some pi action again. I think you should reach 3.2Ghz or so
Disable AI for 3DM 2K1
no 4GHz yet :p:
Super Results Coolaler. Congrats from Europe.
Dinos you have to wait for Phasechange or Dice.
He´s on Air. Water is waiting to.
my memory is still kinda good....remember reading FCG's post with an astonishing remark of 4GHz conroe on air.......yet to see that though hehQuote:

That's amazing! Keep us posted, hope to see @3.2g, really a great post!
2.16 Ghz Conroe, 3 Ghz stock volts on air :toast:
Good work Coolaler
motherboard limited now?
Expect 4.5+Ghz under dice/ln2 and sub 10s SP :DQuote:

I'm curious when coolaler tell Us max CPU clocks / fsb :D
I think he know it ...
Coolaler, this is EXACTLY the sort of thread we need. Such good and comprehensive results have lead to a complete dearth of negative remarks, and they are fantastic results, so keep up the good work.
one last thing, can you raise the volts from the BIOS?
Hehe, never positive about intel. :p:Quote:

Very impressive clocks on stock volts. What I would like to know now is how it scales when given more vcore :)
Hopefully it will give more.
-k0nsl
Coolaler is this the boards max ?
I wanna see where the Conroe will max out.:hump:
3Ghz is easy to hit with Conroe from all the benchies Ive seen. Man these scores on stock volts is just very fast.
Well done with the photo's they are sharp ! I liked looking thru them.
:D yea .pump up the volium .Quote:

Imagine all these years, i been living in a green forest :p: now its time to learn to swim, hehehe
so bring on the results, this is what this community is about, sharing. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, if you happen to disagree with some one then so be it. Posts that are clean and to the point are most welcome, coolaler has done a very neat job. The information is clear, it is like we are taking part in this overclocking experiment. Requests are made and if coolaler so chooses to, they are undertaken :D overclock on demand, hehehehehe.
i love it when sommet new comes along and wipes up whatever was at the top of the market. It dont matter if its computers or cars, its just a nice thing to see, its exciting, all that extra power, hehehehe. Its the power thing that does it  .
anyhow ive babbled enough
hope to see some leaked AMD benchies soon, wonder if the green forest will call me back.....
Nice thread, I love the way the clocks keep getting higher through the pages! You should try what fugger mentioned earlier; to disable one of the cores in BIOS and check if it clocks higher.
performance summary.
Hey, since you posted such a great ammount of data, I thought I'd plot it so folks can see the trend.
I used all of the SuperPi_!M times at various speeds and added a logarithmic trendline.
Looks like Conroe will break 15s near 3.3GHz and 10s near 4.2GHz.
Cheers!
aint gonna happen before 65nm, i hope amd will have a surprise for us with 65 otherwise i am taken the intel routeQuote:

I'm still waiting for clarification, there's no voltage control, and the maximum overclock was due to mobo FSB limitation?
I also wanna know the temps ;)
And where it can prime at.
Sandra resultssss! Excelent stuff so far!! Is he done overclocking the chip?
someone don"t believe?

Amazing :hump:
Only add 2MB extra because of his ES
Can you go any further with passive air coolaler? Maybe you should add a fan there and get 3.5ghz? :P
I sure don't want him to stop and see where it primes. I'm happy for all the benches we have gotten after so few. Keep doing what your doing and thank you Coolaler.Quote:

MMMM..... Passive CPU Finally...
The fan dircted on MB is to remove any heat build up around mosfets and stuff, right?
walk to limit:D
http://www.coolaler.net/conroe/42.gif
Coolaler :D its time for voltage adjustment and aircooled! (frost even better :D )
OH! Where do you think this will end up coolaler? At 450FSB with a fan on the Tuniq? :P
I'm very interested whether it is the chip of fsb that is topping out.
What's the word on this coolaler?
Guys the cooler is a very ordinary Tuniq Tower120. It's got a 120mm fan inside.
You should do a vmod asap coolaler :) Thanks for the results :D
Fan inside the Tower hm
Super impressive stuff. I'm dying to get a new Intel rig going soon!
with vmod.. it will blow away for sure... what a awesome setup.....
can't wait to see that board topped off @ 450x8 :D :D :D :D
Thanks for such comprehensive results. That is an amazing chip. Can't wait for what's to come with them.
CPU-Z says it got 4 MB cache, but I thought the E6400 only got 2 MB?
It's true, take a look http://www.tuniq.com.tw/Cooler%20Info/Tower-120.htmQuote:

a simple economical E6600 in a stock Vapochill LS will absolutely kill all...
there's a spot on my desk waiting.
And THANKS TO COOLALER!!
I don't even have a spot on my desk waiting, but for Conroe, it can be arranged. Anything for Conroe.
Thanks for sharing Coolaler! Is it still going further? :slobber:
I came from work and see this... :slobber: it made my day.
Loved the tmpgenc comparison with the 2.9 FX60.
Conroe also has a spot in my desk, even if I have to buy another desk :p:
Great coolaler :toast:
Coolaler:
Maybe slightly off topic, but what's up with you and the dog.?
His dog is amazing, that's what's up with it.

HAHA omg 3.2ghz :D
I wonder how the mass production B1 stepping will overclock comapred with the A1 stepping, hopefully better seeing as they expect to release a 3G woodcrest, and possible a 3 or 3.3G Conroe XE.
I love this guy.:toast: :toast: You are one of the best when it comes to showing new hardware. You don't sleep much and just keep putting up new benches. By this time tomorrow you may have a bunch of records the way your going.:D
Cool thanks for tests Coolaler and thanks for pointing out the encoding test iterations. Encoding is what i've been dieing to see.

Awesome results and nice delivery !!!!
Conroe is awesome.
