It's HDD, HDD, HDD - all it does is Boot from CD..., Boot from CD..., then does the LAN thing...wtf???

i have a very bad problem, because i can't get in windows with my 7900 GTX videocard. if i boot with the 7900 GTX the system hangs up after the windows loading screen and then i get a black screen, but the system doesn't crash, because i can hear the hdd's :>
if i boot with my SIS PCI 4 MB videocard i can get in windows without any problems ;(
Could be your PSU. I would try to get into safemod with 7900. If it crashes it means there is probably not enough power or faulty card. I would also reinstall windows with 7900 in the sys if its not the PSU issue
:toast: good newsQuote:

I expect that you disabled several devices which you don't want to use.
Try enabling on-board devices!
Though I've not serveyed which device is the key device,
i975Xa-YDG's BIOS is very stupid, I think, at least for 1.02 version.
Good luck:)
Not sure what you're asking...Quote:

The T2300 did the best, 266fsb
I had a T2600 ES that made it up to 244ish on air, not bad at all!
Ok man, I get your point. But then how do you explain our friends from Japan reaching 270+FSB with different CPUs?? IIRC all are same revision and every1 is using same Official Bios. So all should get almost same results +/- 10 on FSB. But this is not happening. This is really very confusing.Quote:

Thanks for clearing my doubts, ibby. I was Confused with really varied results from all over. But as you said with OC you gotta take your chance and hey, hope to get mine soon and crack whatever it can... :)
I have a T2300 and a T2500, both stepping 4, both max @ 225MHz. VCCA mod didn't help. I can get 1MHz more by using a high tRas. Lower dividers don't help so it's not the mem (Fatboy D9s). Also noted that my max vdimm is 2.04V (set @ 2.15V).
when will the fsb limitation problem be solved ?
I don't think it's a motherboard issue... If you got 2 motherboards and 2 CPU's you can test it. Anyway it isn't just a VCCA issue, if it's a Aopen problem we just hope the ECS doesn't have it :)Quote:

TNX! :D
Ofcourse, Yonah > Dothan any day :D Dual core, faster clock for clock etc
But very soon Conroe/Merom will take its place
FSB is not mobo's problems.
I have the same stepping T2600 ES. One is easy to FSB 250, and another is hard to up 233+.
I use the same mobo, cooling, power, VGA etc.........

FSB problems - like many said before - it's CPU problem 4 sure - ( and it can also be caused by high core temps!!!)

:( When you download your direct link it comes up 133.1. It shows 1.33 when downloaded but when extracted, 1.33.1. I think Franck must have eliminated the 1.33.Quote:

Hello all, I just received my ù$^*ù platform.
AOpen rev 00A with 1.03Bios
T2400 ES
XP90C + 120mmPapst + 120nn=>92mm
2x1024Mb GSkill pC6400 GBHZ (4-4-4-12)
6600GT PCIE
Seasonic600W
Windows XP on Raptor 37Go
=> FSB Bloqued 230MHz (programs) and 231 (screen)
Basis config :
CPU@1.5V; NB@1.675; Ram@2.15V
PCIE@100MHz, Voltage PCIE : Auto
Memory : 4-4-4-12 and on 667MHz (ratio 3:5)
Spread spectrum disabled.
Test to try to get more MHz (after each test i reload the basis config):
Dual Channel => Single channel : 1MHz more :)
Single Dimm in Dimm 1 : useless
Single Dimm in Dimm 2 : useless
Single Dimm in Dimm 3 : useless
Single Dimm in Dimm 4 : useless
Timing ram 5-5-5-15 : useless
533MHz (ratio 3:4) : useless
PCIE @ 110MHz : useless
PCIE @ 120MHz : useless
Force PCIE @ 1x : useless
Mem Voltage @ 1.9V : useless
NB Voltage @ 1.525 : seems to be worse
CPU Voltage @1.25V : useless
Spead Spectrum : -0,5% : useless
Spead Spectrum : -1% : useless
Spead Spectrum : +/-0,25% : useless
Spead Spectrum : +/-0.5% : useless
CPU hot (60°C easily) : worse (maybe 1MHz per 10/15°C)
I don't know how to do... Help me if you have an idea :)
I will try radbox and an other cpu...
I cna also try less hard disk, a classical PCI graphic card...
my friend :) look @ everybody :) you cant get higher :(
VERY IMPORTANT - WHEN SWITCHING BETWEEN CPUS - ALWAYS CLEAR CMOS - ACTUAL CORE TEMPS WILL GO UP BY 20-30C if CMOS IS NOT CLEARED
So, fsb limit is between 230 and 300MHz for the lntel dual core ???Quote:

Or the motherboards, but those CPU's are mobile's meant to be clocked at 166mhz FSB, so the FSB part maybe designed to use less power and that maybe the problem... We just hope there'll be some solution in the future :)Quote:

For sure, temperature is a factor we have to keep an eye on ..
this seems not to be a cpu you can oc with a northbridge cooler.
Even with different aircoolers the T 2600 reacts very , very different :
example :
" stock cooling = 230@ boot @ 1.45v max (1.5v and i get freezed)
sp-94 = 240 @ boot and max 2980mhz
water chiller = 250 @ boot " (XS member)
just my 02. (old world) cents
mine
edit :
__________
it will be interesting when the first D-0 steppings will hit the street
(April 24) . Hopefully AOpen will be prepared with a new bios.
don`t forget the 04/30 timeframe ..Intel price cut
Max screen with radbox : 229MHz (temp idle around 26°C)
Max screen with XP90C + 120mm : 232 (temp idle around 18°C)
=> Temperature is very important between 18 and 62°C (my experience).
anyone know how to disable the fuc*ing speedstep ? :slapass:

Yes: integrated peripherals > onboard device > onboard ide control > disabled
