I so want one! Just got an amazing deal on the ebay on a brand new honking huge Danfoss compressor, got a Kayl head coming, but to have a hold down kit as this i'd be well happy.

They are stunning, as ever :)

I can't wait to make use of the 2 for me, though once again they are actually for other people so I only get to 'play' with them.

I received the controllers and cascaders today, will have to post a pic or 2 of them in the other thread too :)

I have some CAD drawings done for a prometeia, but getting a time slot at a machiene shop here is Big $$'s

Most of the facilities around here are tied up w/ Government contracts atm.
so making a few evap enclosures is at the bottem of their list unless we order lots of 1000.... :P

anyway, this enclosures and our evaps are made on a lathe and requires craftsmanship, and not in sausages machine...
That's why I don't like when your colleague from the other forum saids he can do it better easily when he don't even know how this ones are made.
None of our evaps or enclosures are the same, all of them has little touches to make them unique, and that costs time and money.

Thanks Pete, she is better now, still in the hospital but fine, it was appendicitis but we get her at time. I'm at home feeding the dog and the cat and checking msgs, going back there later, I spent the night in a hard sofa as my wife got the extra bed for her and our other baby daughter.

Yes, the screws for the motherboard side was there just for the pic, as I got the spacers 5 minutes before the pic and I was just testing all of them to see if they was well made, it will use philips screws, and the top bolt was made in alu, I think it looks great.
We are not big fans of springs on IHS processors, screws are good for "ihs less" procs but not needed at all with current procs as you will break your mobo before crashing the proc as the ihs can witstand about 60 pounds of pressure iirc, but anyway, yes, you can use springs if you want :)
On the other side, the only springs that really work as we want has to be custom made too, calibrated for a given pressure, a normal spring it's just a pos for our application and that are the springs you usually get in any watercooling or evap kit out there.

Yes, I always ship our kits with backplates included and insulation

The enclosure looks uber pimp (great)!!!!!! As far as the wires for the lighting, I will use sleeving so the wires blend in to the backround. I am not sure where the holes for the lighting are (do not see them in the pic).

Looks for the cables on the post nº140 in pics 1 and 3...
Also, for the guys that asked for holes for leds, there is a channel around the base of the enclosure to stealth the cables inside.

AFAIK Johann and Gray Mole are the guys that already tried most kinds of evaps, look for their oppinion on ours...

sorry for bringin up an old thread, but i have some isseus with mounting the enclosure.

like you can see in the pic the outer edge of the enclosure is hitting some caps (caps?) on the top side of the asus commando mobo, which is making contact between cpu and evap horrible..

so a new mobo it is (no way im cutting up the pretty enclosure ;)), but im having trouble picking one. the dfi lanpart boards seem best regarding clearance, but the 680i is having trouble reaching 450+ fsb and the rd600 board got some memory issues and other stuff which is not making me like it.

so i was wondering what boards you guys use with the acrylic enclosure and have enough clearance to make a good contact.

The new models have more distance between the base of acrylic and the base of the evap to solve this problem.
Lamentation that ssilencer is hozpitalized to be able to clarify better since my English is very bad.

i understand what you're saying, not sure if i wanna change holddown/evap again though, barely used this one..

ssilencer should stay in the hospital as long as needed i think, family goes before hardware. and if you're reading this i'd like to wish you and you're daughter the best.

You don't have to change your enclosure, you just need a new insulation piece in the back of the evap to let it extrude a little more to clear the caps, so, measure the height of those caps, send me a pm with that measures and we will make a new insulation piece to clear them from the enclosure.

Have you checked yet if they have wi-fi or gigabite lan? If the doy we'll move you in there and have a collection service for picking up of deliverys etc.

I hope so, he is not a world top renowned overclocker but it would be nice to have another confirmation that our evap keeps doing his job over quad cores and high loads:rolleyes: :shakes:

That is possible, but these days it must be so much hasstle making those little things on a manual lathe one after another. Machinists will do it obviously but most of the time these days stuff is done by CNC. Just curious :).

the guy has the lathe at home. IIRC he said that making em at a CNC would be much more expensive :)

This is pure craftsmanship, and REAL custom made enclosures and evaps, none of them are equal, all of them are great :)

You're wrong, it takes more than a day to make an evap kit in the manual lathe, so if we have to charge that it will be a lot more expensive than a cnc work.
You know @itor in person and you know how he works, he don't want to do a standardized evap, block, or whatever he do.

Hahaha :D. You would need to be pretty skilled to make enclosures like that surely? Although acrylic is easy to turn in a lathe isn't it? It's like butter :D.
