Well, this is really very interesting.
I received two more LDBFE 0607 this morning. Peering through the plastic, I can see that one is a UPMW "N" like my current chip, much later batch # - but - the other is a SPMW "T".
Of course, I've decided to leave the "N" boxed and am keen to test the "T", because this may be quite informative. Props to chew* for making this a point of interest.
& - on the "T", the Z89xxxxB part of the serial is much earlier, 1429 vs 4859 on the "N" chips.
Interesting that you say that OPB. Would love to discuss your thoughts and experiences with that. BTW this comment isn't doubting your results, you've obviously had your hands on alot more cpu's than i have. I think you may be right becuase i had alot of conflicting results with that. Also not enough results for TPMW compared to XPMW in my collection of data which would bring the average down.Quote:

A=R, B=S, C=T,....they are represented as 7 days from the week
MPM and MPMW are special mix
FX57 has 4 date codes:
1. 0516wpmw--->N code
2.0522tpmw----> T code
3.0524 vpmw----> T code
4. 0530 apmw----> Tcode
Interesting what would you think semprons marked with MPM mean? Saw 2 of them today looking for a specific cpu for someone.
I just purchased two processors - LDBHE 0601's, however the person I bought it from said the model number was "ADA3800BVBOX", but yet it's a Rev. E6 - the distributor must have made a mistake on their sheets as I heard from a friend:
BV = E4
2x512kb Cache = E4
LDBHE = only E4
Is this correct. So am I really getting the E4?

I wouldn't get all down, 0601TPMW is a good chip. And don't worry about the batch #, i had a 3000+ venice that primed @ 3 Ghz on water, and the batch was 1127 :)
I'm excited - the chip I got was the LDBHE 0601 TPEW, same as SuperTimor, hopefully it clocks well!

0607 "T" proved a bit of a disappointment - weak core 1 above about 2500. In fact, beyond that it needs more volts too, not that it helps much. I know just the person to buy this - 2500 @ 1.33v on stock HSF would be a bargain.

Absolute 0 has one on the way it is a far lower batch # than the ones you guys are seeing. Will be very interesting to see if it's a T or N. I couldn't tell when i went to hand pick it for him. Stupid retail box...........

Honestly I've always found chips that are considered middle of the line to be poor Oc'ers
Never mind the Lian Li, get the TTBT and whack it on the bench lol. Only you can tell us how good it is.
@ chew* - you thinking of Venice 3500s? I had a real stinker a while ago, but again, 2006 steppings look good (half-Manchesters).
Im especially thinking more of dualcores's. Just look at the WR's 3.4 for a 4200 when 3800's and 4600's are pulling 3.6 and up .............

Good point. I like my 4600 a lot, very strong. Maybe I'll put 1.7v + into it when it's back on phase. Don't really want to put 1.7v into the 3800. All the work I put into it at 3g2 that didn't find stability... it really needed 1.7v, that would have done it. But it's an N and I'm not going there.Quote:

Got a little bit more out of my 0601UPMW. Still on watercooling had to move the vcore to 1.45 for dual prime stability.

mine is almost exactly the same as yours, except my temps are lower, but i need 1.45v for 2.8ghz stable, and mines ldbhe 0601 upmw. I then need 1.55v+ for 2.9ghz.
Oops forgot to say, that one is a LDBHE. SG is reporting temps pretty much wrong, have a tiny probe sliped in the hole of the IHS and it's reporting 37c
Will try and make time this weekend to stick this thing under a MachI and see were end up.

You have N. But your serial number starts with T instead of Z. And has an A instead of a B in the middle.
Dabs had LDBHE 0601 UPMW, but that was three weeks ago. They have moved onto bigger things. All i know is that dabs have now given me an XP1800 DLT3C (legendary, of course) and a LDBHE 0601 UPMW (another fine cpu).

just picked up a x2 3800 0601TPMW.
Priming right now at 2.6 & 1.35 Volts running 1:1 with my G.Skill 2x1GB HZ's.
*update* decided to cut the 2.6 prime short and now I'm priming at 2.7 & 1.35 volts. Since I don't have a floppy drive yet though, I have no idea whether the RAM is good at this speed, but the CPU has been going strong for a while now.

Im a little irritated that i had 3 3800+s incoming. Ordered one from Monarch, flickerdown, and a place on RI. Monarch's spent 3 days "processing the order at teh warehouse" which should take 1-2 days. The ones at Flickerdown disappeared even though i was the first to PM. The last one, well i have no idea, it's been days and my card hasn't even been charged. Taking forever for everybody to process this crap, and i've gotta leave at the end of the week for spring break, but everything is being shipped to my dorm because that's teh billing address. So annoying. I'm ready to cancel everything and overnight something from newegg. Those guys know how to process an order.

BH5s don't want to do 270 even at 3.7v with those timings. Haven't tried dropping trtw and trrd to 2/2 and stuff though. Not sure if it even likes 3.7v. Almost done 2.8ghz 1.5v 8m/8m though. I'm on a typhoon stock fan IHS on.
