Alrighty, we've processed your order, and it just so you know, it will actually be shipping from Team in California. As such, the shipping time quotes on our site won't be 100% accurate. Since you did choose an express shipping option, I'm going to have Team ship this by FedEx 2nd day air (they can't ship by USPS). It should ship out today, and once it does, I'll pass along your tracking number. If you need anything in the meantime, let us know!
Your order has been updated to the following status.
New status: Preparing for Shipment
Please reply to this email if you have any questions.
My reply.......
I really do appreciate your efforts to get me the order on time… however… I selected USPS because of the shipping requirements that you have. A signature is required on all of your order for me to receive them. Every other vendor that I deal with doesn’t require this and leaves the packages on my door step. I work very long hours and it’s impossible for me to receive packages from FedEx or UPS. With the USPS however, I can pick them up at the local post office… the nearest UPS or FedEx hub is an hour away so I can’t pick it up there. This is why I opted to pay more for USPS… (FedEx Home would have been 10 dollars cheaper)
So I now have a problem… I won’t be able to receive the package from FedEx unless there are no signature restrictions in place. If you can remove these restrictions then this will be no problem.
And another note… I’m confused as to why TankGuys has this requirement… Most Americans work all day… so they won’t be able to take delivery of packages from your company. This will only cause them to go elsewhere for there parts. This was my first order with your site and I can be 100% honest when I say that I wouldn’t have considered using your company if you hadn’t had this RAM… No one carries this stuff that I could find. I’m not upset or dogging you guys… just some friendly criticism?? For what’s it’s worth I gave you guys a big thumbs up over at XtremeSystems.org and you should see lots or orders from them guys! :-) (This ram is HOT… keep it in stock and it will sell!)

There's still a lot of work to do though, but I'm off to bed.... ...my brainwaves are like :scope: ...theta.
Have you tested this to be Prime stable?
No I haven't.... Actually I've never used Prime....:cow: Is the tool widely available?
Yes... run 2 of these at the same time if you have a dual core. 1 if you have a single core.Quote:

Extract this to a folder and run the .exe (make 2 folders if you have a dual core) (If running on a dual core uncheck the "no affinity" and set one of the sp2004 apps to run on CPU 0 and the other on CPU 1)
In the test type select "Large, in-place FFTs - Stress RAM"
Let it run for as long as possible (to be sure it's stable you should be prime stable for at least 6hrs)
Post up a screeny... but I bet it's not stable. ;) :stick:
One in the same :)Quote:

Go go TankGuys! :woot:
I did a format last night and took the oppertunity to nLite my windows installation. Anyways the stuttering in video and audio are gone now so I learned my lesson and will always do a fresh install in the future.
Haven't tried any games yet though.
I have another problem though, I have a pair of Corsair CMX512-XL sticks and I know they can do 2.5-3-3-7@250 FSB but on this board im having trouble getting them anywhere near that speed. On my Ultra-D they ran rocksolid upp to 260 FSB, and I had most of the setting on default.
I have the FSB set to 295, and im using the 166 divider (memory@243 mhz), but windows crashes almost instantly. Even tried 3-4-4-8 but same thing there. What settings could I change to get them stable? Can anybody show me some newbie setting that would work, they don't have to be tweaked.
Edit: I tried Mcbanaban's setting above and it was a no go at any speed. Even at 212 FSB with everything on auto @ 3-3-3-8 I couln't even run Super Pi. And I know my ram can do 2-2-2-5 upp to 215 FSB
Edit 2: Just realised that my ram is doing 2T, where in the bios do I switch to 1T?
And a second question, what is faster ram @ 192 mhz 2-2-2-8 or 243 mhz 2,5-3-3-7? Can't bench at 243 so im askig you guys.
My rig is Venice 3000+@295*9= 2655 mhz (Wont do 300 FSB becuase my Chieftech 360w powersupply) 2*Corsair 2-2-2-5 CMX512-3200XL PC3200 ver. 1.2
First of all, in my experience from the Sapphire forums, a crappy PSU will cause you all kind of trouble so I wouldn't rule out that as the cause of your problems. (If you have time check the Sticky post in the Troubleshooting area of the user forum at www.sapphiretech.com. ;) )
Next, the 1T setting is available in the "mem" area, though it's not in the main timings section, two "setting groups" lower. (You have switch off the AUTO setting so that the new ones appear and then you'll see a "CMD ADDR" line or something. (Stands for "command addres".))
As a general tip, I'd advise you to avid the AUTO setting as much as possible as it doesn't seem to be too bright.... Just set everything on manual and start fooling around.;)
Thanx man im gonna try that right now, and I ordered a new PSU today. It's gonna be a rough month billvise :)Quote:

I think you have to set the option "Wait for 'F1' if error" in the "Boot Settings Configuration" to "Enable".Quote:

it's just games and cpu-intensive apps in general. they will or will not stutter. latest bios is supposed to fix those issues.Quote:

Had no problems with shipping BIOS on my first one. Moved it from an Opteron 165 to an Opteron 148 last night and it's running great. It's running my Ballistix 1:1 at 273MHz with timings ALL set on Auto. Timings are fairly aggressive for auto at 273MHz.
@Wicked
Have you noticed anything unusual in the "boot-save BIOS settings-reboot" procedure?
Nothing unusual at all, it works like it should on mine. I won't be testing my 2nd board until Sunday/Monday but I'll let you know if it's a strange one.Quote:

I am however a newb to overclocking and just started to venture into that last night with some help from the fellows on this board. I am up to 2.6 ghz on air and it prime stable. I had to loosen up the memory a bit but other than that its great. I plan on taking it much further this weekend and once my watercooling gets here, the real fun will begin. -ASUS A8N32-MVP Deluxe 0311
-Artic cooler 64 Pro
-2 Gb GSkill DDR500
-ATI X1900XT (OC to XTX)
-Enermax Liberty 620 W Modular PSU
-74GB Raptor x2 Raid 0
-Thermaltake Armor Case

Hey reptile, what voltage are you running on ur opteron. I'm planning to get the same board/memory combination coupled with an opteron 165. I'd like to know how much you can push ur memory because many people have had problems with their G.Skills not going above 280. I'll probably have to use a divider for my setup but considering I save 70 bucks, it's worth it.
I left the Vcore on auto for now. I haven't had to increase it yet. I am sure I will though when I start hitting 2.9 etc. It bounces between 1.42 and 1.45 during stress prime runs.
I have seen the GSkill problems you mentioned. I had to knock them down to 183 to help with errors during MEMtest. Right now I am trying to find my CPU ceiling so I haven't really messed with the RAM too much. I will go back later and tweak it.
TT
Hey reptile, thanks man, you give me hope. This board has just become available in my neck of the woods. I think its a beauty but admit, as an amateur who just wants to play games, I'm a bit scared of it, I hate hassles and games that don't run smooth. Could be I'll soon be brave enough to buy one, reading of your success. :clap:Quote:

Yep, Prime wasn't stable for me either... I stopped chasing high FSB that day though, 'cos my Sandy chickens out somewhere soon afeter 2.8 GHz...:( so I actually can't run 300 and use the full potential of my CPU. For now I settled for 10*280 1:1 @ 2.5-4-3-6-1T as I really need to get my rig back to where it was before I blew my previous mobo..:DQuote:

Hi,
I'm on my second board now, I can't get either stable @ 270 1:1 with a 10X multiplier @1T, I can run 247 11X multi. Cpu is amd 4800 X2. Maybe it would work with a divider, but for me that would defeat the point of the higher htt speed.
raja
What's your mem?
I can't get much over 265 On the rams Prime stable... that pretty much what I've seen with others too...
My Samsung UCCC cant stable even in PI1M with this Asus , i tried many settings but no goQuote:

On the Asus forum, some people had problems with their overclocks with the new 311 bios. As reported by them, it seems the Asus took away a little of the performance of the board to cope with the stuttering issues. It's assumed that Asus is working on another bios fix for the mentioned problems. I wonder if the stuttering problems have to do with the ati video cards. I haven't seen anyone with an Nvidia card on this board complain. I'm a silent freak as well as so I'm not planning to go xfire. Thus, I ordered a 7900 gt video card to pair with this mobo. I'm hoping no stuttering issues and if the old bios works I'll keep that one. BTW, have there been any reported issues with these boards and creative x-fis?
Hi,
can guys who are having problems hitting 280-300 HTT please vist this link, try methods used, and post their results in that thread? The info will be compiled and sent off to help with a possible fix.

I am having all kinds of problems with this board(A8R32-MVP DELUXE). The board will not reconize the bio's flash. I contacted asus and they say I will have to rma the board.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so what can be done to resolve the bio's issue?
Joe
I'm not having issues reaching high HTT... I can hit 360+... I just can't get over 260 with the ram 1:1.Quote:

GUYS, i am sorry for absolutley NOOB question , but
TELL ME PLEASE HOW TO FLASH my BIOS UNDER DOS? For DFI , i have no problems. but i am lost for ASUS Thank you.

I have tried different cables and setting the drive as master, slave and cable select. Also, all drives are set to DMA mode 4.
This only happens with large file transfers from DVD or CD not from HD to HD. So far I have not noticed any pauses while burning discs, thankfully.
I found this issue when installing large games that come on multiple discs like Doom 3 and Age of Empires III. On my old system I could place each of the three discs in it’s own drive and start the install and it would move through each disc with out stopping. I found that on the A8R32 I get random pauses. It was not every drive or a particular disc. It kept happing on disc two of AgeIII so I put disc one into that drive and it happened on the first disc. I thought it had to do with that drive being on channel 2 of the P-ATA controller but after using just two drives on channel 1 it happened again.
Sometimes just after a pause the sound card will continually generate popups stating that I have plugged something new in one of the jacks. After the copy the sound card would be all messed up and I’d have to reconfigure what was plugged into each jack.
I spoke to ASUS (as they to not reply to emails) and they just said to try a different Motherboard or different RAM. Oh, I’ll just pull another one out of my… Aren’t they supposed to test this kind of stuff for me?
I’m sure it could just be my board but the issue seems much like the random spikes in the HD benchmarks and the pauses in many games before the 0311 BIOS came out.
I guess I’ll have top RMA the board but my guess is that the new board will do the same thing. :(

Does anyone have Samsung TCCD memory (Any TCCD but preferably Corsair) and can list some lose timings for me to try. Im having trouble getting my memory even 10 mhz over stock.
Plz list EXACT bios memortiming seetings at speeds ~220-250. Remember LOOSE timings.
I have a pair of 512 mb XMS-PC3200XL Rev1.1 (2-2-2-5-1T) --chip--> Samsung TCCD.
I wanna use the 166 divider cause im running my CPU@300*9.
It's really dead simple.:rolleyes:Quote:

I tried that when you first posted them, but it wont even run my ram at an 210 FSB 1:1 @ 3-4-4-8 and I know they can do 2,5-3-3-7@260 FSB 1:1 cause the Ultra-D had no trouble running it. And then I didn't even have to tweak any settings. There has to be some timing or setting in the bios that is to aggressive for my ram =/Quote:

Another thing you can try is getting Systool from TechPowerUp! and boot into Windows with whatever settings will get you there and then start tightening things from there. :)

Is this one better than the A8R32-MVP?
It is less money and Newegg don’t hobble the return policy as it does with the Asus.
I also like the idea of having a PCI-e and PCI slot open if I go with Crossfire and no fan as with the upcoming DFI board.
Is everyone using a soundcard vs. the onboard sound? I just put my old Audigy 2 in my new setup just for the heck of it and now my CD/DVD read pause freeze issue seems to have gone. ???
I had even tried disabling the onboard sound along with everything else that I could do without and I still had the issue.
The at832x is being tested now so just wait

Yea. Same here.
Whenever I transfer a large file from my DVD, the rig slows down tremendously. I can hardly move the mouse and all desktop sounds are stretched out like I'm on acid or something. The windows default "ping" sound lasts for like 6 seconds - "piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiing". :stick:
The drives are all in DMA when in BIOS, but when I check in Windows Device Manager, all I get is PIO. :(
I've temporarily solved the problem by hooking one drive to the mobo via a SATA converter. I am using two if the PCI slots, so I'm suspecting an IRQ conflict.
I guess it could be the same underling problem. The onboard sound is conflicting with the P-ATA IDE controller. Again, not slow but complete freeze or lockup. Can’t do anything for five or ten seconds, mouse won’t move, nothing. It does this four or fives time until the transfer is finished.Quote:

This is the first time that I’ve tried to use the onboard sound and well, thumbs down for me. :( Though I’m sure it could just be this motherboard but now I don’t know what to do.
I only have a few days left to return it to Newegg. If I return it for the same I fear that it will have the same issues or others that different folks are having. I’m tempted to go with the ABIT board because it is out now and has a heat pipe for extra cooling vs. a fan that DFI has on there new board.
I put my old soundcard in just for the heck of it and I now no longer have random pausing while reading from the CD/DVD drives. ???
I think I'm returning it for the ABIT board.
New Bios 0404

thanks mate will give it a try
At first glance it doesn’t look like much has changed. All bios options are the same and no new additions in mem settings. In brief testing I don't see any OC or Bandwidth improvements either...
It does appear to recover better from screw ups in bios settings but that’s all I’ve seen so far. Not quite what I was hoping for….
Have you tried overclocking with the new bios yet? I think it's a little more stable, also the vcore does not seem to fluctuate as much as with 0311 (unles I'm mistaken).
regards
Raja
It appears there is still a problem running HTT over 300…. I was able to run 0311 bios up to 310 although many had a problem running 300. As I normally run @ 285 it’s not a big deal to me but in testing it looks like the “pooch gets screwed” @ 300 with 0404…
It does appear to be extremely stable with other minor issues fixed, but it’s clearly not a DFI Bios…
EDIT: Tony, please stay on 'em...
true it's not a DFI, those boards will always hold better performance for the xtreme clockers, the Asus is a little more mid-market, it's aimed at more 'sensible' overclocks (to coin a phrase), and if you don't need to go too high with the htt (280-290 seems ok), it represents greater value for money (imho).
Still the DFI is tempting, the vcore always seems more stable on DFI boards.
Here is mine at 350HTT! yes this is dual prime stable
not bad at all
Nice to see you are posting here too Bootsy
At least this board doesn't suffer from not taking enough HTT
cpu-z validation
SuperPi8M @ 400HTT
[QUOTE=Zebbo]Nice to see you are posting here too Bootsy :cool:quote]
I couldn't have made without your tips Zebbo! I want to try for 400:)
I love the board, no issues at all... I initially flashed to bios 0311 but I still hjad to go in baby HTT steps for overclocking, but now I've found a sweet spot and it boots up no problems. Also, when setting an incorrect memory timing, it automatically boots up with safe speeds while bios settings remain.
300 HTT with 5x LDT doesnt boot though.. with 4x it does, so I'm sure I can run 350HTT x 4 or something. Opty 170 at 275(x5)x10 right now, and 2GBHX @ 250 3-3-2-8 (the 183 divider).
Just POST takes a relatively long time: initializing my usb-hub takes about 10-15 sec plus I'm using an all-in-one 5.25" front thang with cardreaders and usb, firewire, sata, fanctrl etc, so I'm using like almost every internal and external port on the mobo - 2 sata, 2 ide, 1 fdd... but no CrossFire -_-
Probably a newb question, but is anyone having any luck with the 216, 233 etc mem dividers on this board?
As soon as i try them my RAM clocks back to 120mhz, it's Corsair 4000pt so its rated to 250 and i have the 404 bios.
Cheers
I use the 250 divider to run my ram at stock(ddr500) when trying to oc my X1900xtx works fine. htt= 200 ram = 250
I'm running the 0404 BIOS and I'm getting CS:Source errors, just as I did when I had the 0311 BIOS. Originally it would stutter every 5 seconds and lock up, now I just get the ubiquitous "Instruction referenced memory" error as soon as it loads. I reset to defaults, cleared CMOS, and reformatted, and now with a fresh install it's still happening. Any tips?
Have you switched PEG-link to disable? I remember that Zebbo said something related to that. It's same place in bios, where is the oc' (if i remember correct it's oc 10% etc.) for graphic card.
Hope you get it running, somehow my rig works, only thing is the BF2 connection issue, I wrote to the other A8R32-topic. Hope someone knows how to help me too :(
Edit. This is not fact, but I have this feeling it was related to that PEG OR P2P... I have both on disable.
Hi guy,
have you noticed ClockGen support for A8R32-MVP?
It's also possible to change Memory Channel Skew Control.
Using ATI System Manager I read here
is also possible to change Memory VDD :)
Do you know a link to download ATI System Manager?
Edit: ATI System Manager only work with Sapphire.
anyone running 3GB with this board? i cant get it to post even with 2T and relaxed timings?
I solved my problem too!! :toast:  :toast: :banana:Quote:

Finally got my A8R32 board stable.
Now at
3.1Ghz (Opteron 146) {3Ghz Prime95 stable at only 1.4v}
2Gb (2 x 1Gb) Corsair Memory @ 280Mhz (560) (1T)
SuperPi = 27secs.
:woot:
well just for the record I had some issues with lag/jittering until I flashed to the 0311 bios. Ever since then, absolutely no issues. CS:S runs flawlessly, when I OC'd my 3700+ I didn't take baby steps until near the end trying to find my max (limit if my chip is 3.86GHz) - this board has been rock solid since the bios update (except when I pushed the CPU too far, but that isn't the mobo's fault).
Asus could add more memory dividers .. 133 and then 166 only is not enough, i use 150 over A64info and it works nicely, but i want that all the time not loading profile everytime i run windows :-)
from what I gather, this board does not like G.SKILL memory. I have the 2GBHZ and am getting cold boot issues and failing prime when I am pretty sure my CPU can handle it. When I prime at 2.6ghz, (1:1 ratio) it immediately fails with what looks like a memory error, So I drop the ratio to 183 divider and that sets the ram to about 236mhz. However, prime is still failing right away at 260htt x10 multi x4 ht link. ANyone else have this memory on this board and have any advice for timings? Currently running 3-4-4-8.
I also have G.Skill memory in my A8R32 and I can't get it stable for the life of me. I know the memory is good because it worked in 2 other systems for months and didn't need 3-4-4-8 until 315 MHz, but in this system, even with a new CPU, it wants 3-4-4-8 and 2T at stock!
I have G.Skill memory and aside from the fact that it won't OC worth anything - I was too cheap, stupid me :slap: - and I have zero problems with it. Ram is pretty much at stock speed, with timings at 2.5-3-3-6 1T
Aside from the bios problem which was fixed by an update to 0311 I've had zero issues with this board. I'm guessing I'm one of the few...?
g.skill HX doing juuust fine here :)
2GBHZ has worked fine here...
So..After reading all the posts...Is there a hope for a "good" bios???Or should I buy Dfi Xpert.
