So when everybody gets these, should we start a new thread with each of our results or just keep it in here.
Also, G.S., do you know if they will run the same speeds on an intel board, i865?
Cause Im in the process of getting a PM rig together and these seem like they would be great in it.
you might need to do a volt mod for 3.3v on that PM rig..Quote:

@GS Tech : I am people in Indonesia (South East Asia), Am I too late to have it? If I can, How ? (I dont have paypal, just have CC) thanks
Was hoping they would be in the mail today :(
How were they sent out? USPS? FedEx?, UPS? - Pony Express? :)
hi soundx
maybe snail mail ;)
USPS Global EMS for international and I believe USPS Priority domestically.

Great News Dave. Should have it Monday
OT - Yo Pyr0. So how's the Venus? Will PM later :toast:
according to digi4me
it is 1st class + insurance.....
well, guess i was wrong there.
oops.
dave
Got the sticks to my friend today :toast: , but know they have a long way to sweden left :stick:
anybody gotten their sticks yet?
looking forward to seeing all the results
Yeah me too, mine don't seem to like voltage (yet?), got them stable up to 256MHz in memtest and 260MHz @ 3,4V for SuperPi 32M.
I'm still in the process of burning them in.
well mine has just landed here in the UK along with a dfi cfx3200-dr
so i no what i will be doing this weekend
i wonder where mine are
Yea same here!! I'm wondering where mine are!! G.S Tech where were the sticks shipped from?
according to digi4me, they ship out at 4/11 FCM with insuranceQuote:

Picked mine up from the post office this afternoon, but I'm headewd out of town for the weekend due to easter. I'll post pics/results next week, I'm very excited.
My set is pretty hot after all, i found that my opty doesn't like MAL<9, with MAL @9 it is capable of doing some nice things. :)
Here is 32M at DDR537 @ 3.6V:
got mine today.
dave
Got them today Pyr0, will send them to you first thing monday :woot:Quote:

nice results bazx :toast:
do they really need all that voltage for 258MHz?
seems a large jump from 3.2V @ 250MHz
to be honest i used zeus settings as a jump off and could not hit 322
so i just droped to 310 i have it running a 32m right now and seems ok
so will try a lower voltage next
ok droped the voltage to 3.3 and it ran 310 no problem
:woot: excellent
looking forward to trying 4 sticks together on the venus board :)
this is about as tight as i could get the timings with 2 sticks (non handpicked) on my sli-d @ 250MHz & 3.3V
drv str=3 & data drv=2
http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/5...timings4ni.png
it will be nice to see the gain MHz every 0.1v increment :)Quote:

272 with 180/@3.7v found that above 3.8v the ram had peaked and no longer improved
http://net7.info/1/bh5/bh58.JPG
wow
do some 8M runs
Mine have been loungin up at the post office for a few days since Ive away on vacation, but tommrow I will get some quick 1M results.
Alright, I have a problem.
G.S., I set all the timings to a T what you posted a couple of pages ago, set VDimm to both 3.2 and 3.3.
The problem is I cant pass Prime95 over a minute.
I have my multi set to 9x, so I know its not the CPU, they are in the orange slots, and the FSB is set to 250.
Any suggestions?
try swapping the sticks around
try to lower MAL to 7ns or even 8ns, and RP to 5 or 5.5:)Quote:

Got my sticks today + 2x512 khx pc3200 old bh5 ..some fast testing:
Kingston stick 1 268,68mhz
Kingston stick 2 266,41mhz
Gskill 1 263.00mhz
Gskill 2 266,41mhz
Gskill 3 263.00mhz
Gskill 4 264,89mhz
Dont remember vdimm but i think its about 3.50v
Only fast test to see the best sticks. More testing after work.
Last Viking, What Drive Strength and Data Drive Strength were you using with the GSkill on Venus?
1,1 and MAL = 8 , RP = 5Quote:

Thank you, what I needed to do as well.
Some more info its very very hard to get 4x512 Gskill @ 250mhz stabilty... But with Corsair+Muskin+2xkingstone i realy not have any problem over 250mhz+, i have already been over 275mhz super p1m with 4x512mb on my Venus board. Maybe the Gskill sticks need some burning in first.Quote:

hopefully i'll get them in the next week or so :)
Lower mhz works but not 250mhz+ , but with my old bh5 250mhz+ worksQuote:

Little update.
Im Priming at 260 right now, its been about 2hrs in or so and its still running.
Only changes Ive made was loosen TREF, RP and MAL, voltage at 3.55 with 3.5 BIOS selected.
As of right now Im still in a colosed case but I have a fan blowing from my side window, does anybody know of a good way to mount of fan over the RAM while still being in a case?
Build a simple fan shroud/duct to direct air directly over the ram? Might not look pretty but with some cardboard and packing tape it should be easy and effective. Just a thought.
I have seen people with fans screwed straight on to the motherboard over the RAM but their setup was outside of the case, does this mean for me to do that I have to have it outside?
Also, a little update.
At 260, Prime95 failed after 3hrs 50mins.
Im running Large FFT, is this the best one to test the RAM or is blend?
yes prime large fft best for testing memory (including cpu), I ran it for 7-8 hrs (2 loops), or else you can test wit spi32M for 3-4 times, if passed, it also passed prime.Quote:

i had to get a friend in the US to buy and ship mine to the UK for me
Any more results?
Mine can do 32M 270MHz with 3.6V (mine are not from GStechnician)
At 3.7V i get loads of errors in memtest, didn't bother trying to stabilize, i don't think the sticks will take 3.7V
I got them to accept 3.5V+ after 1,5 hour of memtesting test 5 looping when it went from at least 4-8 errors per pass to zero per pass.
270MHz is a bit on the edge, perhaps burning in some more might make it 100% errorfree but i'm a bit reluctant to let it loop memtest all night at 3.6V.
Am i a chicken? :D
Stil burning in.. mine sticks cant take 3.83v yet and the only another vdimms i have tested is 3.33v,3,42v,3.51vQuote:

Voltage right now is 3.66 (3.6 BIOS selected).
Does BH-5 react to changes in timings as much as other ICs or just mostly voltage?
EDIT:
32M passed but fails after 2mins with Prime blend?
Whats going on here?
260 should be a walk in the park even at lower voltage.
Set every timing to auto except for the 2-2-2-5 settings, run memtest 86+ from bios and tighten the timings one at a time and rerun memtest 86+ after each change.
That's the only way to find out what holding you back.
Doing so i found that my MAL set to 8 was too tight, something i never thought about changing but it worked like a charm, i went from 256 up to 269 memtest stable.
Also, 3,66V is a bit much for 260MHz, start with 3,4-3,5V.
Last Viking, i'm curious what you can drag out of your sticks, c' mon man, show some sick numbers. ;)
I'm gonna play around some more with Data/Drive strenght to see if my sticks will take 3.7V, hoping to get a few more MHz outta them.
Man my mobo sucks it can only go to roughly 2.85 vdimm. Anyone have any ideas as to how far I should try to push it on that low volts?
you have to mod your vdimm, unless you got nothing on cas 2Quote:

Alright.
Im going to spend today running some tests and I think if my results are decent enough, Im going to start another thread in XB.
Ill let you guys know and Id really like to have you guys post your results in there also.
have you tried pi32M 2 or 3 times and pass?Quote:

More info will come later.
LV - why trc9? You're killing performance  The Venus doesn't overvolt due to it's 4-phase power ;)Quote:

Thanks mate.
Vdimm in bios was 3.6V +0.03V disabled.
I will check Vdimm with DMM next time i run 3.6V but i guess it's about 3.65ish.
K i think you have same vdimm like me then :) , 3.6v is about 3.67v+ real on ultra-dQuote:

Yea, I know that the CPU isnt the problem, I dropped the multi to 9 and at that moment its underclocked.
It runs at 2.4 and right now its at 2.3.
I have higher volts running in it on account of the stories of high vdimm and low vcore.
Ill try to lower the volts and see if it gets more stable, which I doubt will help.
I have tried a lot of settings and drive strengths, but nothing has seemed to help.
Bachus said to try and run 8/2 for higher volts but that didnt seem to help.
G.S. or anybody have any ideas what settings may really open these things up on an Ultra-D?
Try this:
Messing around with all settings isn't exactly the best idea, just start of with everything on auto, also DRAM/Drive strength and set 3.4-3.5VQuote:
