Believe me Ahmad I feel your pain. I too live in Canada and can't get crap. I bought one from NCIX even though it says not in stock. I am hoping they can get a hold of one and ship it this week or I am going to cancel my order and go where it is available.
man i love living in the U.S. :)
Well, lets not go there LOLQuote:

Thanks for the heads up. Seems to be the cheapest in Canada. NCIX, TigerDirect, and FrontierPC all have them listed but they want $750+ for the x1900XT :shakes:Quote:

OH ya these are the XTXs :)
My X1900 XTX results (just some 3dmark 05 and F.E.A.R. benchies)
No serious overclocking - definitely CPU-limited.
3dmark 05: highest quality settings via CCC, max. overdrive clocks, 2.6GHz on CPU (Opteron 175 @ 236MHz x11)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...1600-11567.jpg
F.E.A.R.: same system setup, running game @ 1600x1200, 4x Adaptive AA, 16x HQ AF, highest quality settings in-game (no soft shadows though)

50% faster at least, and closer to 100% in FEAR and BF2. Turn up the AA to 6x and add HQ AF mode and AA with HDR and you do have something much faster indeed.
If you worried about vertex texture fetch on ATI and using UE3 then dont worry. They dont use it =)
This was a hot topic a while ago on Nv vs ATI in UE3.

Did i get this right ?Quote:
Tim: We don't use vertex texture fetch in UE3 right now, but I expect we'll be using it in the future for moving more of our displacement-mapped terrain logic to the GPU.
This is really strange... My post and Ubermann's post came after afireinside and gr8golf, yet the system put their posts after... And I assume this one will come before theirs as well.
Was somebody screwing around with the server time? :stick:
Any reviews other than techreport that compare an x1900xtx to GT SLI? Not sure if I should switch...
I have a single 7800 GT. I'd like to see a good review comparing performance at 1280x1024 to see how much I'd really gain going to the x1900. I might buy a bigger monitor ast some point, but don't have plans to anytime soon.
Great info guys, thanks, If you would like to use 6.1 drivers you can get the edited INF file Here

For it to be 100% youd need to go from eg. 75fps to 150fps for it to be 100% improvement, Correct!?
Im not seeing that.
will the x1900 support dx10?
Ofcourse not...neither will the G71.
Thats R600/G80 territory.

That's too bad. Then I don't think it's worth the investment at this point.
