You wont have to wait 3 months.. sheesh... In 3 months socket m2 will possibly be out. This board is ver similar to the Asus board thats out now. BUT better Ocing abillity and features. I would say we will see it within 30 days or less i would think. Im sure MSI will come out with it. If not then WWM wouldnt even have what he has.
Any more info on the availability of this mobo?

Looks really nice; alot of boards hitting the market to choose from though.
zipzoomfly and mwave have it in stock.

http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec....iteria=BA22220
Just order one from mwave.
wow...ZZF @ 299.00 !!!! and mwave @ 192.50 hmm anyone see any price gouging going on here???
when does it come to the uk? :slobber: :slobber:
this mobo calls for fx60 and dual g71's! :D
a 3 Phase power system should not cost as much or near the level of the Asus' 8 phase. Super price gouging.
asus has a badly done 8 phase and the asus also has a     layout.Quote:

you only need 1 pci slot for xfi, and thats at the bottom. :fact:
so you can use xfi and dual slot cooling now, the expert has the best layout with up to 2 pci slots that can be used but and also itsnt comparable due to different chipset used and that it kills cpu's
besides, apart from a tv card, i cant think of anything else most people would need to put there.
i though most people here had separate media rigs anyway :stick:
(rig 1=omgamdgamerrigandoverclockedrig)
(rig 2=stable media rig with loads'o'space and a tv card)

in stock @ newegg...
I really like the way the BIOS is setup in the screenies.
looks like this january will be another busy month in mobos ..competition and price gauging ; P
That goes hand in hand don't you know:slapass:Quote:

Another BS layout on the PCI's. If they would do away with the dam orange wireless slot and make a normal pci then this would be perfect...Then you could put any cooling you want are your VGA's and still have room for your soundcard... I will pass on this one...

I a working eXpert so Im happy :toast:
u could fit a sound card with a second gpu .. the spacing looks fine .. way better then the a8n32sli ..
why does it have a 24 pin .. 8 pin and a molex connector ..
i like how on the expert the power connectors are right next to each other so u dont have to route wires all over the board
not if your using Arctic silencer....The orange slot is Wireless only remember...Unless Iam wrong here...Or can you use the orange slot for anything pci...Quote:

i was sure you could
if so this mobo just lost my interest :slapass:
The orange slot can be used as a normal PCI slot. Back when I had the Neo3, I used the orange slot all the time for my Soundblaster card with no problems, even while running @ 300*9...
I do like the layout better than the Asus. Someone over there needed to be :slap:
I'd jump on this if I wasn't happy with my Expert.
Looks like it could be a nice board, but as long as I can remember there's always been one constant with MSI; Their support SUCKS!:( For those testing it, good luck I'm anxious to see some results......... :)
I think I may order one tonight to test out :)
When you add this motherboard to your cart at Mwave you get $10 off as a promotional discount! Ordred me one!
Board looks sexy, as always...
Anyone else how has this board? I wonder how it will preform with 2x1GB or 4x1GB compared to the DFI Expert.
was about to go with this mobo + 2GBHX GSkill
with all the new cores and sockets io don know wat to do now.. the drama!
That would be intresting indeed, my Expert doesn't like all ram @ stock, I have to play with the timings every single time, getting sick of it.:slap:
I really hope this one could replace my Expert.:)
Has anyone other than WWM tried on of these out yet? I was looking at it when they first came out... Went Expert though and I am VERY happy!
Ive been running the board for 3 weeks now..The glitches so far that I see are the following.
Ocing is limited with 2 1g sticks (patriot PC3200 5/3/2/2/)
When running in raid mode on the nvidia side the bios gives a cant load pci rom not enough something at boot. (still boots right through just a small glitch)
Running 4 1gig sticks double sided is not gonna happen.
Board does have some potential but really needs a couple bios updates......So far 300htt is the max on this board. It just uterly craps out over that no matter how relaxed you make your settings...
Oh and there is a Phantom PCI MODEM that shows up in the devmgr...This is a problem with the onboard sound...Someone said that MSI got enabled and Disabled mixed up in the bios haveint tried that yet...too lazy...
Other than reeeeally neeeding a bios update this board is rock solid...
The board works fine but really need a bios update..i dont know how tomshardwareguide and another users can have i new bios...its realy hard to find the new bios..
Sounds like good board but bad support from msi?
I think you have right there...if anyone can modd the bios i think this board will be very good.Quote:

I am trying to get 4 x 1GB double sided DIMMs to run at 400MHz, but they don't want to go above 333MHz... Is this what you were talking about? Is there any way to fix it?Quote:

Someone on AT forums has used it, & says the HTT limit of 300 is gone now; he's running @ 9x310 :D
WOOOO!!!
THAT FIXED IT!!! :D
I installed the new 3.0A Beta BIOS and now I have all 4 DIMMS (4 x 1GB double-sided) running at 400MHz!!! (2T of course :) )
-Thanks
I'd be very interested to see HTT results with this new bios.
I find the price on this mobo rather steep ($250 CND), but i paid $190 CND for my MSI Neo2 Platinum, & it's the best mobo i've ever had.
This might be just be my replacement for my crappy A8R-MVP i think.
Can anyone test teh orange PCI slot?
I'm hearing that it doesn't work for normal PCI cards (MSI refers to it as a communications slot), but yet others are saying it does work normally?
I recently needed to replace my motherboard, PSU, etc due to a power supply failure. as my local retailer was out of stock on my original motherboard (DFI SLI-DR Expert) I decided to try the new MSI K8N Diamond Plus motherboard instead.Quote:

Having said this, I am now running 12+ hr Dual Prime 95 stable on the MSI K8N Diamond Plus board. I did this after 5 minutes of tweeaking in BIOS. This matches what I was initially able to do with the DFI board (before I used Special VID to tweak Vcore).
Part of my ability to hit the 2650 MHz right away is due to my understanding that my Opteron 170 does NOT like a lot of voltage, so this should not be seen as my saying the MSI board is better than the DFI for overclocking.
Differences of note:
The DFI Expert motherboard mounts the CPU high and to the right of center on the motherboard. This gives a little distance from the rear fan in most computer cases, and I think it aids in airflow. The PWM's have heat sinks on them, andd so they run a bit cooler. Also the DFI Expert has 4 Phase power curcuit.
The MSI Diamond Plus motherboard mounts the CPU much closer to where the rear fan would mount in most cases. This may be a problem for those with bulky heatsink/fan combos, as this will definitely block airflow. The Diamond Plus uses 3 Phase power, and its MOSFETs do not have heat sinks on them. To be safe, I added Swiftech MC14 heatsinks on them.
Bottom line for me: I am getting pretty much the same performance from this motherboard, while reducing noise (passive heatpipe system quiter), gaining PCI-E 16 support for better potential videocard performance in SLI mode, and I have onboard Audigy SE sound, so I can reduce case clutter. I fully expect to increase my stable overclock once I get to know the intricacies of the BIOS, so I am quite happy:)
The orange slot on my MSI K8N Neo4 Plat works fine with my SB Live! 24-Bit :)Quote:
