What? Theres something wrong then. I've had my Biostar up to 384 HTT,and then my 2800+ crapped out (no multis to drop). I own the DFi NF3 250(Crappiest board ever),Chaintech VNf3-250,Asus K8N-E Deluxe, and an ABit KU8,and the BioStar destroys all of the others boards by alot.Quote:

I wanna get another sempron 2800+ rig and I am not so sure if it is worth getting another tforce as it seems like its a hit and miss :/
Both of my 2800+'s are running in DFI LP NF3 250GB's.
yeah im using dfi board too. picked up another chip today too. older stepping, see how it goes. post pics and results later if i get time.
Sounds like a bios issue. You need to use the cr51mb02. It has all of the newest memory settings, and will solve your HTT issue.Quote:

There are some more here. http://lejabeach.com/Biostar/6100-939/6100939bios.html
I'll try BioStar TForce 6100. Maby it will be NEW WR :)
whats the full cpu stepping of your chip? is it an lbbwe?Quote:

I had now 2 tforce board, one was maxed out at 270 and the other one at 285. Hopefully the third one will be better.
Da tu prosto molodec =) nice job!
nice overclocks. even at 1.6v my D0 sempy won't go higher and i don't want to push the voltages any higher.
Did anyone try to put an xp90 or a sonic tower on a naked Sempy? Please report in and one more thing what is the hight of the core since I wanna order a shim made of cooper.
My XP-90 is on a naked chip. I made my own hold-downs using a bolt, and a spring,so that pressure would not crush the sides of my die.Quote:

LOL!It's so obvious you have a cat.How does that Biostar peform??Did you use any shim or smthn?I personally would like to buy smthn with 120 mm fan.I like it to be silent but performance as well.
n1 to the subject :toast:
why isnt your 12v connector plugged in???:slap:
Because I solider the +12V. connector to the back of the motherboard. :fact:Quote:

Nice read guys. can yall tell me what the max vcore you have used. Also Frame WHAT VCORE YOU USED TO GET TO 3.0+?
How do you interpret those numbers?I have LBBWE 0530CAA(strange I only have 3 letters.)
there is another letter in the 3rd row
I have a LBBWE 0548GAD
X03889....
or is the X already part of the serial number?
Looks strange indeed.
oicurafox2000 did that mod require dremeling the xp90?Or that plate that contains the screw was a fit there?Cause I see that the original xp90 has a channel where the clips stay.Thnx and some pics would help me!A how to..!
oicurafox2000 is right, my old sempron 64 2500 I use to have in my Tforce6100 OCed upto 350HTT and 375HTT max. With this board. I am so nearly close to 3ghz after i started burning in my venice on this board at almost 300HTT. I want to try lower multipliers again highest was 379HTT so far last time I tryed on a athlon 64 3000. Newer bioses are out tho then the B02. Look on biostars china sight for 2006 bioses.Quote:

Easyest and best mobos you can use and get high HTT on. If you can't get any higher try clockgen. No way you can have 3 bad boards that can't OC worth anything. My girls mobo OCed just as good as mine and oicurafox2000's. Shes got the same ver 1.1 like oicurafox2000 has. I have ver 1.0. Hmm quite strange the prob your having.
Man I don't know what boards are thoose didn't test them but my DFi does 360HTT and more.I'll take some screens as for now I'm using stock cooler and can't get there as my CPU has stability problems when it hits over 50*C.I guess they are cool if they do that clocks but don't generalize if you had a wrong board. It doesn't meen that another one can't do better. How about the help on the mod?
No I didn't need to cut anything on the XP-90. I simply used the tool found in my pics below, and unscrewed the clamp-downs. Then I took a old piece of steel, and cut it around 20mm x 20mm and Drilled 2 holes in them(one bigger then the other. Then I put the screw back in to hold my piece of steel, and threaded a bolt from the bottom to the other(bigger)hole. Then I put my spring on there, and put my wing-nut on,and started threading it down. Thats it! Thread both sides evenly, and you won't crush the edges of you naked core.Quote:

Thnx man cool mod!I'm gonna do it myself soon.
update with some clocks and such.
anybody know why such a big difference when i disable L2 cache. it seems it doesnt wanna go higher. first shot is with L2 enable(24/7 speeds), second shot is L2 disabled(test) anyone help with how to get the L2 to OC more? IHS is off. with L2 enabled, anything over 355 is no boot. but 355 is stable.
I never tried doing that! Are you sure it isn't the temperature?A friend of mine that has an opty wasn't stable above 40 degres Celsius in full load after he got it below that it was stable. So it might be that.I noticed that mine gets unstable above 46-50 Celsius. They are pretty sensitive to temperature.
I am currently running 315mhz Htt, but only with a single 256mb stick of ram. The boards is really crap when it comes to ram. 6 out of 8 sticks limited the oc at 250-280mhz :/
There is no way that the board is not the limiting factor on my side. I tested the sempron in a dfi nf3 250gb and it did 2700mhz occt and 32m stable at about 1.55V. Wasn`t maxed out yet, but I didnt have much time.
With the Biostar I cant get anythng above 315 stable, not even at 1.7V vcore, so ......
I currently have some trouble with my mobo don't know why but since I have this board I had 4 types of RAM and only 2 worked in slot 1.My Samsung UCCC SS only works in slot 2&3 and a Geil Value 256MB SS wouldn't even boot at all!
Did you do any cap mods on your Tforce? And where did you get that ram. OCZ 512MB PC-4000 500MHz Gold Series VX? Thats the next ram I want. I'll buy a OCZ DDR booster with it so just one 512mb stick will do. Man that ram is so hard to find, have any ideas?Quote:

@ oicurafox2000 do you know can the xp120 be modded the same way?Does in fit on DFI LP NF3?
No cap mods needed here, there are already very nice sanyo caps for voltage regulation. I just got rid of that ram,I bought it refurbished from the egg. Keep looking at newegg for refurbished memory. You wouldn't need the OCZ booster with the mobo,it allows you up to 3.2v. Vdimm, and 3.7v. with a PSU that has adjustable pots. If you don't have adjustable pots,do a 3.3V. sense mod.Quote:

I have seen 4 0528UPMW reached 2.7GHz with stock Vcore. That's the best stepping I think.Quote:

yup, temp deffiently not a problem. its watercooled and always stays under 38c.
No idea. I got a 2500+ 0539GAC. Will try it out soon. Don't know what mobo to choose yet. :(Quote:

Ahh yes I could do that, I was thinking of getting a OCZ powersupply that could do that. Mines OK. Or I could do the mod. I finally found someplaces that have that memory. And yeah I run this ram on 3.2v most of the time now with cooling but the voltage readings is a bit off on this board its really higher then what it reads about 3.3v for the memory and Vcore 1.78v. The bios or the voltage monitor on the board is just giving slightly off readings. I planned on getting some of that VX ram just to show off. Eather mod get a OCZ booster or powersupply that can regulate Higher volts. My 350 watt isn't really that strong. I was going to replace it in the future.Quote:

Mine is Rev 1.0 yeah I got mine when they just came out and my girls is Rev 1.1, but its at her place now. Maybe somebody can who has Rev 1.1, I took a closer look at my board. It just looks like the caps are placed differently. No real change in them same caps just difference in placement is all I really see.Quote:

Get these... even better if you can get your memory refunded. Best BH-5 based I ever seen UTT's breath new life into BH-5 like chips. Made to take upto 4v made for the DFI boards and can run upto 580mhz and 600mhz with 2-2-2-5 timmings at those volts. 3.2/3.3v and up. I'm quite impressed with these. Perfect for show and enough to play games on. Damn this is better then my video memory. Can't wait to see my videocard C 256mb's of that. This will be perfect for my games and give me all the performance I ever wanted.
I just ordered them so I'll start showing these babies off in afew days. I don't like my DDR600 OCZ's just didn't give me the performance I was looking for. Because horrible timmings limmited me. Now I can push my comp as hard as I want when I get this memory. Getting that OCZ memory refunded I am.
Edit:My bad the chips really don't have a voltage limit. PPL are running them at 3.8 and 3.9v are reported with the use of BH-UTT chips. This is the best quality stuff I ever seen just insane what it can run at.

Are there any VMods or Tricks and Tweaks for the NV8 (Link?)?
What cheap 2 x 1024 MB Ram is good for this board?
