hm...still no result :(
i like the booting screen, very cool
the reason might be that the new dfi boards have been killing cpu's. or there would of been reviews by now. sampsa got a fx-57 killed by the grouper board and another member got 3 cpu's killed by the new dfi crossfire board. maybe the new expert is killing cpu's as well, thats why there is no results...Quote:

I think he is just trying to be thorough and it takes time.
just give him some time to update :)
Anything new on when this thing will finally ship in the States?
waiting results :eek:Quote:

Looks like they put it up on DFIs website. It may have been there for awhile, but i haven't seen it before.
here
If it has been there for awhile, don't flame me, i didn't know. :stick:
Just spoke with DFI sales in USA. Not much info on where they are headed, but he said they expected a shipment this week. I'll keep fingers crossed.
Later today as mater of fact;)Quote:

never got why they can just ship it from the store warehouse
Me too .... I'll wait for some reviews to pop up and some XS "results" before I decide to get one.Quote:

I just hope it doesn't kill my CPU by then

Spoke to DFI again. They did get the boards today, but Monach does NOT have any yet. Monarch said the 11th on a call just now. I would predict that Zip and maybe one or two others may have stock listed as early as tomorrow. Just FYI.
looks like Monarch is pulling the same trick like they did with Opty again....they ought to change the 'In Stock' status to 'In stock soon' for real! :stick: I'll wait for newegg instead.Quote:

I cancelled. 2nd Day shipping shouldn't take more than 6 days. :nono:
yeah i called them back .. and it wont ship until this friday .. so the soonest i would have it would be tues :(
i guess ill just keep my order i guess
.........finally someone that won't stuff us around with a proper review...........looking forward to your thread :toast:Quote:

Was just about to order but I want to see what OPP does with his first and if he kills his FX-57. The reviews are gonna make it or break it for me. The board will decide if i go with 2xX1800XT or 2x 7800 GTX Ultra. If this mobo is a overclocking super star without any major probs then this is what Im getting
I cant resist do I buy one now or no? I sitll need to wait for the 14th to pickup the R1800xt or 7800gtx but will these be in stock or soldout?
WWM, any comparation with the non-Expert, is there a real improvement in clocks/performance with this new revision ?
I think the RDX200 will be the winner for those who want the X1800 Xt. The X1800 Xl beats the 7800 gtx in some tests and are just about even. I have a feeling the X1800 xt will give the Gtx ultra a good run
Right now all the reviews of testing I have seen shown the 7800GTX 256 card faster by a lil bit then the X1800XT 512 card or pretty close to dead even. Image quallity was about equal as well. Now price point wise the X1800XL 256 card is more then the 7800GTX also.. Big thing is the 7800GTX does way more with less clock cycles thenthe X1800XL ever does. When the new 7800GTX Ultra/512 card hits the street.. Plan on it mopping up with the ATI card easily. As that the 7800GTX 512 card will be clocked around 580mhz and 1400 on the mem with 512. If the 512 X1800Xl cant beat down the 7800GTX 256 card then it will not come close I think to the Ultra.. Just my opinion anyhow. Really wanna see how this Expert board does.Quote:

As reported by Major in the A8N32-SLI Deluxe thread, the DFI SLI-DR is now available at Monarch, who's buying? :-)

monarch still hasn't updated it's website (in stock, ship 1-2 days). i call that deceptive.
That's why I seldom buy anything from these guys..... Too many times I've been told "it was in stock when you ordered it but out when we gotta around to shipping." I don't understand why they continue this crap, when you place your order with other etailers you can follow the order from the moment it was placed.... Looks to me that they'll continue to be "wanta-bees" until change their ordering system. :mad:Quote:

I just got off the phone with a guy named Keith at Monarch and he said they were sent a batch of "defective motherboards" and DFI is sending them another shipment. He says they should be receiving them either Wednesday or Thursday and shipments should start being sent out on that day. I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I doubt it, these guys have a screwed ordering system and they're masters at making excuses! Example:Quote:

No CPU has fried on an NF4 SLI-DR Expert board. You can't say this board is killing CPU's when only one person has it, god knows where he is anyway, but nonetheless, this baord hasn't killed any CPU's and its not right to say it has until we see evidence of that.Quote:

Yep, my bad. Sorry. I was referring to RDX200 CF-DR and Asus A8N32-SLI boards. I was talking in general. Still no word from wwm...it makes you think.
But I don't need 4*512 @ 1T.
And properly most of us don’t need it.
I need/want high HTT , high(er) cpu/mem speeds, and stability.
I think this board is going to be a disappointment over the old nf4 dr.

None yet for any other reseller. Monday DFI will get another shipment and then more to Monarch and maybe some to the California resellers then or sometime after that. I guess Monarch had an order into DFI first. In any case, NO boards have hit Monarch yet, defective or otherwise. This is straight from two different sales people at DFI USA a few minutes ago. bottom line, if you want one now, then you have to deal with Monarch and will likely receive your order sometime early next week.
Asside from a update on his progress, I would like to know what BIOS this board is running? Same as SLI-DR etc. updated, or a new Expert only bios?
I never said the X1800 XL will compete with the 7800 GTx ultra. The X1800 Xt will be the one competing with it.
That is not true. The original 704 bios was a cpu killer which is why it was pulled and no longer worked upon. Big toe modded the bios to disable cpu % over 113 to ensure the most you can put through the cpu was 1.7v or so to eleviate and cpu's dying.Quote:

Tony was mentioning before that Oskar has a new bios for the original nF4 boards with changes including REAL CAS 1.5 support however he hasn't given it out.
I am ordering from the Egg when they get it. I trust them over monarch anyday :) But maybe Ill have the RDX200 if the X1800 Xt does good.
Correct - but no EXPERTS have killed any CPU's yet... :p:Quote:

I dont think WWM killed the DFI Expert board.:smoke:
The DFI Expert board killed WWM :explode2: :caution:
Well this morning Monarch says their ETA of their first shipment from DFI is today, so w'ell see, maybe some orders will actually get shipped tonight. I'm number 25 in line.
