Hey BB do you have a pic like that but with the lights on :P
My Ls is going to be black too. I picked this on impulse. I had a silver mach2. Hopefully the black ls will look better or atleast just as good. going to deck it with blue cold cathodes and maybe some watercooling but that WC is later.
Going to try to land on top20 of 3dmark 05 and this vapo will help me do it. Waiting for the 7800gtx 512mb will run in sli and it should be enough ;) Pedro got on it with stock gpu cooling
@ BB:
Please make some more in pics when the rig is running :) :)
.... with 430W heat @ -60°C!
greetings

sorry to report guy's the 2nd danfoss died on me..got to tear her down and build it as a SS untill i can get some better compressor's :( im thinking new nf11's :)
What kind of discharge preasures are you running with that mix? propably 250-300PSI :S
250psi at start,210 running. bad batch of compressors.
your running those poor r134a compressor over the limit, I wouldn't be surprised if more fail. I would go with r404a compressors.
what proportion are the R-12/R-503/R-1150 are mixed in?
think an r404a compressor will do better?
Oh.... feel sry for ya to hear that! :(Quote:

Hmmm, I'm thinking about making more silent my LS kit. How much Danfoss NL11F compressor costs? What kind of freon it use?
Im not running the nf9's past what they can do,you can run them @ 300 psi all day long with no problem's but this is just a bad batch...gona have to patch this unit as a single stage and mod the other ls when i get a new compressor :(
When you look at the datasheet you can see that the maximum condensing pressure is 60*C for r134a and 70*C is allowed for very short time. Calculated to pressure that is 225psi and 290psi short. So your running just on the limit, my previous calculations where off I'm not very used to psi, sorry.
I migth be the last sleeping bear of the winther???
What is your daytime job, and did you quit it to live of modding ?
I simpley cant belive this :(, are you making to littel money or what??
It has been a pleasure to read all you posts and dream about having stuff you made.
Anyway I wish you the best in the future and hope we se you back in the comunity even thoug you stop modding....
I know that his daytime job is helping Chilly1 at whatever the needs are.
I don't really understand what he is saying about quitting. Perhaps he is just going to quit modding units and stay and help chilly. Perhaps he is going to leave chilly. I don't know?
Dun get so worried. I think hes just laying down phase for a little while.
There really isn't that much money involved in single phase stuff due to size of market and amount of work involved. Usually people with skill sets like this make way better money working on proper job I would think :) (come on, starting wage for HVAC seems to be around $18/hour and only goes up as experience and specailty goes up)
My day time job will never be replaced by single phase building I am starting now (I am Sr. DBA), just that I like making this things and see potential in future for expending the idea to something else. And god, I love modifiying things anyway to begin with :)
Once BB mod stablizes his job and gets some time, I am pretty sure he will be back in game bringing cool toys :)
I hope BB will disclose what proportion are the R-12/R-503/R-1150 are mixed in :)

buzz, aint america grand. :D
indeed :D
still no word on the wonder-mix proportions?
I bet the guy would ask for certificaiton :) I've dealt with him few times and he does things by book :) (which is only good thing in my opinion)
welp look's like im not a mod any more....
ATTN all my current customer's please e mail me @ inkpimp@gmail.com for updates on your cooler's as i will be leaving XS for good due to problems with a co owner. I can be found on hardware asylum from now on.
???
Jesus - that's crazy (I am certified, but not complaining :p: )Quote:

It has been sorted out.....
It's a mistake, I've been assured by the site owners he'll be unbanned shortly.
But why ban him in the first place???Quote:

Simpley lame.
IF a ban took place it's been sorted.
IF a ban is put on, it's always for a good reason, just bear that in mind. The site owners have every right to decide that.
Anyways though, I'm still looking forward to the final results on the LS mod, it's just a shame that there's been compressor issues.
I've run compressors hotter and harder than that for short periods and they've been fine, and if BB says they can do it, then they probably can.
Considering you get 300psi startups and high load pressures off an autocascade, I think the Danfoss compressors should be able to do what he's asking.
Hard to argue with the NF11 though lol
I've had a couple of FR Danfoss compressors lately though, and though they tend to be louder they've been rock solid performers. The FR10 has been fantastic on the low stage of the Cascade for me, so I'm pretty happy with 'em all 'round really.
Cheers
Gray
Does not require certification to purchase except in Wisconsin.
WISCONSIN CUSTOMERS:
Sales are restricted to businesses that are registered with the Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection or the Department of Commerce for servicing air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
That sucks. Even if I had certification I would need to be a business for refrigeration purposes.
Zabom??
I am the site owner.
BB Mods is not.
Chilly1 is the co owner right?
yes
wow look who its is
pics coming soon...
Edited: Because off topic for the forum, and heresay. Lets stick to phasechange here please ;)
ty pythag, I wish to remain neutral.
As a pre-emptive strike ;) If anyone wants to start a fight, please do it in forum comments, not phasechange!
