Yeah, I bet they did....it's a shame the boards were craptastic at OCing compared to S939 boards.

correct. I think the reason we see overclocking second only (and only in some cases) to the fx range is these guys HAVE to work in hot conditions and survive (server apps) so they must be binned for low voltage aswell.

Wonder where i can get one of these amazing Opterons here in portugal... that must be impossible... Does anyone know where to get them in Europe? (preferably in E.U. countries)

Awesome results. Can't wait to see some of these hit the shelves in Canada. It will be nice to have some 1024KB L2 alternatives. Great single cores to say the least..

They are unlock down, just like venice, X2 and everything but FX. I have a 144- 939.

Great job teamjapan, way to set bar high for the rest of us. I wish I had acted sooner now all of the good steppings are sold out. If i purchase something now it wont be doing 3ghz on air like the others.

Is this because they have changed the die they are now using?
I was hoping they would keep things as is or maybe improve.

If the die changed and the results are no longer going to be the same then that REALLY sux.

I guess Ill still be going Dothan after all.
I thought we had an AMD that could potentialy compete but if the rest wont clock this high then Dothan is still better,IMO.

Any word yet on definite ship dates for these?

Trying to build my amd64 system and planning it out now.
It is very difficult when these companys give ship dates and then when the date rolls around they push it back furhter.

If they just came out and said hey its going to be 3 months then I could plan for that.
But when they keep towing everyone along it makes me think gettinga 3000+ venice might be the way to go.

Maybe these will be available by Christmas LOL.

Anyway Im hoping someone got some shipping info by now.

I had a 144 on order since 10/4 and just canclled it last week. They kept chaing the ETA like you said wardog. I ended up with a 146 from ewiz that should be here tomorrow.
