I picked up some XMS3500 from microdirect the other day, and I have to say underwhelming really isnt the word. It was either a dodgy stick or my board is a bit more picky than most. Max stable at 2.5v was 203mhz @ 2/7/3/3 or 169mhz @ 2/5/2/2. @ 3.2v max stable was 237mhz @ 2/7/3/3 or 232mhz @ 2/5/2/2. Gutted. Its gone back, will maybe try some mushkin next.
PiLsY.
PiLsy - Looks like what I got with mine. I was not pleased and sold it a couple days later. Let us know how the Mushkin turns out. I've never had luck with thier stuff either. :(
So you're upset with 232MHz@2522? Hmm... that's being a little demanding of any memory manufacturer isn't it?Quote:

Look at what he posted more carefully!!! the ram is rated at ddr433 at 2.5v...he had to use a higher voltage to get to this speed and higher...that is why the ram went back.Quote:

Have you tried taking the BIOS battery off for a few hours? I think that Pilsy managed to fix his by doing that.
i experienced this problem too, if i tried to boot, i received FF on the digital display and black screen, after resetting the bios many times it booted up but locked into the bios... So I cleared cmos 10 times more and all became OK!Quote:

I think that if u remove the battery for a few hours or less it would solve it man ;)
Mine sadly was totally dead not even the power LED`s were on
running a granite bay mobo dc-ddr with o/c 3.06 can get above 5k mem bench.......can't remember where i saw...:toast:
Well you can certainly tell the "Made by EPOS" boards from the outsourced ones put it that way ;).
My 4PEA+ died when one of the "hoops" that holds the chipset cooling on came out the board. Dry solder joint. Got a replacement here still boxed and untouched, but tbh I really cant be bothered building it up. My AMD rig is fast enough for now. I'll wait until I get the watercooling in place on my prom and build it up then.
