Yes.. Cpu-Z 1.28.7 is supposed to fix it (the stilt has it) But it has not yet been released to the public yet :(

BTW: it is at 1:1 ratio..

341FSB with 4-3-3-10 settings doesn´t give you anywhere near 9k in Sandra buffered. Lowish 8k would sound correct.

Sandra reports Max Bandwidth of 10,912 at those settings.

But, I am only hitting 9K because of the higher cpu speed and a tweaked copy of Win2003 server.

I think yours would be hitting 10K with the same cpu speed and OS.. :cool:

I also Saw a HUGE bandwidth jump when I set the Tras to 10..

IIRC cpu speed doesn´t affect memory bandwidth on Intel, because the memory controller is on motherboard instead of cpu...

It does partially but not to the extent as it does on an Athlon64.

The Big limiting factor on an Intel is the transfer Rate between the cpu and the Memory controller.

Cpu speed does make a small difference as the Faster the Cpu runs, the faster it gets it to the Cpu FSB.

But the BIG Factor in my scores is the OS. In win2003, There is a function Called "Lock Pages in Memory" which allows Sandra (or any program) To lock the same Memory pages for it's use Only as long as the program is open. This Makes a big difference.

I attached a Pic that shows Sandra's estimated Bandwidth efficiency.

"Lock memory pages" tweak helps but that only makes 150MB/s - 200MB/s difference, not this much: Sandra Buffered - 3-2-2-1 350FSB 1:1

You can´t defeat pure performance with any tweak ;)

btw. Just in case, I had to accomplish some counter measures:

New bios gives pretty good boost compared to older ones:

Corsair 5400UL - Sandra Buffered (Verified)

Corsair 5400UL - Sandra Unbuffered (Verified)

ps. tRAS 1 is pretty much faster than tRAS 10..

It could be, but with all the Dothan processors in -> 1 <- category, i don't think he'll compliment AMD with a WR for every MB.. Though it would fit well with his idea of 5 different classes for just one processor model.. :p: ;)

Thx....no way is that superpi stable ;) You know, spi could have been possible, but the cpu's memory controller just was a POS. Here's the fastest I was able to run spi @ with this cpu:

TBH, I really don't remember. I can tell you it's not in the 24's for sure mainly since I don't have the cpu's long enough to optimize all the timings. I basically throw the cpu in, test it a various timings with minor tweaks and then get rid of it ;) . In fact, this 3200+ was a cpu I purchased retail while waiting for my FX55 to return from RMA.

1gb (2x512Mb) PDP XBL PC4200 DDR2 ram
cooled with Vapochill LS modded..

and don't ask me why my Bandwidth is soo high, But I have ran it ten times and it never wavered more than 50 Mb/s.. :toast:
