I'm sorry about the obvious question. I wonder if I should sell my Kingston TCCD and buy this plus a booster to run on an IS7-e with an E0 3.2E P4. I wanna get at least up to 250FSB at 2.0-2-2-5. Any advice on these sticks? Where is the best bet for a purchase in the US? Someone please sum up.

I bought two 3200 SP off newegg. Got em today; both are AA4T week 05064. PCB is KO6633. Weird thing is that only one of the two sides has the two metal dots on both dimms. However, one of the dimms has a tiny small chip on the top right of the dimm where the other metal dot should be. The other stick doesn't have this small chip. Weird. Are they both UTT? Why would one of the sticks have this small 8 lead chip and the other one not have it?

Ive just got pair of my TwinMos SP 3200. Both got P/N ...AA4T. Ive bought them in Poland theyre priced 150 $ for gig wich is relly cheep here, comparing to other products on market. Ive called to central storage of TwinMos distributor and theyve checked for me several sticks all are AA4T. Good thing about mine is that it does 240 2-2-2 at 3.2 and 255 2-2-2 at 3.45v without burn-in.
Chips are 44D , production date is 040484 and i see KO 6633 on PCB, im wondering what PCB it is.... ?
Receiving my 50 kits of DDR433 B die UTT at monday :D

I have the 3200 SP also, week 4 and 6 of 05. One stick has the small chip that you are talking about on the top, the other on the bottom. Don't know why that is, but it doesn't seem to matter. They do 260, 2-2-2-6.Quote:

They are 1A4t part number and get this...they are actually labeled BH-5 on the die! Is this a new labeling of the chips? I could've sworn in an earlier post someone who works for twinmos said to base chip-type on the part number(ie 1A4t) and that the chips didn't actually say BH-5 on them. Thanks for the explanation mike. So far I can run 10*245 at 2 2 2 5 memtest stable at about 3.2. One of my sticks can boot into windows and run sandra at 10*260 at 3.5v. The other stick doesn't seem to like more than 3.3v but hits around 10*255. I am hoping after burn in I can get dual channel memtest stable at 10*250-255.
the most important thing is, is it better clocking than the cheaper version "plain twinmos mtec 50B 1a4t" ?
mine seems to be able get 250mhz 2-2-2-x 3.2v with 50% chance (out of 10 sticks). max out at 26x (3.4v) or 27x (3.6v), due to some of it don't like high voltage (>3.4v).

was hoping for good results, but at the moment im stuggling, it could be down to the new mobile barton 2500 i have just put in to replace my crazy clocking xp1700, but my old twinmos 3200(2 Yrs old - 3125E W942508BH5) was running fine with that 1700 @ 2,2,2,5 200 for about 2 yrs, im barley able to get this stable at 200 whatever the voltage im throwing at it :(
Just ordered 2x512 twinmos speed premium 3200 BH-5 from komplett, £41 a stick aint bad.
Its because your using an NF2 board, I'm willing to bet on it. Nf2 never liked 512 sticks of BH-5.
Well this is how it stands now... through checking with my old ram, my new mobile barton isnt the problem, its the ram for sure...
at spd timings 217*5 2.5-3-3-8 in memtest dual channel is spewing out 20000+ errors, if i take it back and test one stick at a time they pass fine :(
ive also now Vdimm modded my board so have 3.25V for the ram available if i need it, its on a switch so tis optional..
Kinda stuck on where i can go with this now i seem to have tested about everything i can and cant find any way of settling it down.
Your right theres every possibility that its because i got a nf2 board, but still even 200 2,2,2,11 isnt too much to ask from this ram :(

After having a hell of a time with the 1A4T TwinMOS SP PC3500 "BH-5" from Komplett UK with my old NF7-s I managed to successfully RMA them and get a full refund - including delivery charges surprisingly.
I've not doubt they would have worked much better on my current DFI NF4 but I only got my A64 rig after I RMA'd the sticks.
doh! sounds like lots of peeps are having probs with this memory and nf2's, all this after i spent the weekend voltmodding mine as well! :)

after testing the sticks individally in slot1 (nearest psu - not sure if thats 1 or not), and both sticks passed... decided to test them in slot 3 (cd drive end) and one of my slots passed and the other failed...
so it looks like at least one stick is going back if not both, im debating keeping one now i have voltmodded my board but im not convinced if i get another stick this memory is overly happy with my board...
peeps with nf2 board and utt ram experience, u think if i get another error free stick it will run any better??

UTT/VX is the new CH5 chips, but the BH5 (even the new production) is still the same old BH5. It will act the SAME as the old BH5 did on NForce2 boards.
Try a CPC-OFF bios and see what the results are.
The UTT/VX/newCH5 chips are a totally NEW animal and have incredible results on NForce2 boards (and A64's) but anything with BH5 new or old will act like it always did, they did NOT make any changes to the design.
The UTT/VX/newCH5 chips are a NEW design, combining technology from Winbond with technology from Infineon to make a seriously awesome NEW ram.
Nothing will make BH5 new or old work any better on NForce2.... aside form redesigning NForce2!!!
Ill have the A64 running tommorrow... and Ill take my Kingston BH5 (hyperx3000) and beat the :banana::banana::banana::banana: out of it. But the BH5 only does 240Mhz CPC OFF rock solid on my NForce2, while my UTT/VX/newCH5 does 250Mhz CPC ON. If as I suspect the BH5 comes alive on the A64, then that'll prve once and for all that NForce2 memory controller and BH5 just dont get along well, and that will be that with that.
GRRR.... DFI SLI-DR, 2xRaptor36G, X850XTPE are all sitting here awaiting the 3700+SD's that FedX still hasnt delivered....GRRRR
Slunge, are you outside of the 10 day cool off period? Because if you arnt komplett will take them back even if they are not faulty. Plus, they now have speed premium 3200 CH-5 in stock at £48 a stick.
first thing, i am using a cpc off bios, its a default abit one, but cpc is off for sure.. ta anyhow
i may rma this and try to see if i can grab some of the ch5, which i take it is the sp3200.. im 99% sure one of the sticks i have is dodgey..
also yeh im probably inside the 10 day period, but the rams been opened for one and i think it has to still be sealed and the other thing is i shuoldnt have to pay for the delivery/resend fees if the rams faulty, gonna look in to it.
Good luck with your rma, it sound as if one stick is most probably faulty. Yeah the 3200 SP is CH-5, it says it clearly in the title.
What packaging did the modules come in, curious, because if the BH-5 I recieve are suckas, then their going back.
an small bubblewrapped envelope in 2x antistatic wraps, the main packaging was a box - because i orrdered a dvd writer at the same time.. ive still got the packaging, only problem is that the staticbags were sealed, mind u im just hoping they accept my reasoning for the rma, in dual channel they are insanley bad, in single chan one isnt 100% right.

? There are NO Abit bios's that are CPCoff....none. That was one of the principle driving forces behind TicTac and others to make modified bios's... to make a CPC OFF version.
TicTac's D26MantaXTcpc is the best one Ive run across, gives me the best results. The "cpc" on the end means cpc OFF. Normal D26MantaXT with cpc on works great with the UTT/VX/newCH5 chips but BH5 doesnt get along with CPC ON on NForce2 boards.
My NF7-S, 3.35Vdimm (Vdimm mod + 3.3Vrail= 3.5V) does 240Mhz 8,2,2,2.0 with 2x512M of TwinmosSP CPC ON. Same setup does 210Mhz max 5,2,2,2.0 2x512M BH5 CPC ON.... CPC OFF gets to 235Mhz.
Before you dump the ram, get TicTac's CPC OFF bios and try it out. Also remember that the bios's default drivingstrength/slewrate settings are not that great, BH5 tends to like DS 6 SR 7, you'll need to use WPCREDIT/SET to alter these at Windows boot. Also the "Alpha" timings are too tight in the bios's (TicTac tried to fix this but wasnt able to in the bios. So you need to use WPCRSET to alter these too. CHeck AMDMB.COM forum, the ABit section, and search for WPCRSET instructions, I spelled it all out there.

Got 4 modules of PC3500 BH5 a few days ago, none will do stock timings at stock voltage/speed so they're going back. They're just about do stock at 2.8V but not a chance at 2.6
None will do over 250 2-2-2-5 at 3.5-3.7V in pairs. One will do it on its own but the others are pap.
sounds a bit like mine, cept mine wouldnt even do stock at 2.8 in dual channel and one of them in single channel.. they were sent back on tuesday, asked that instead of replacing with the 3500 bh5's if they could sent me the 3200 utt-ch5s in the hope they behave with my nf2 board alittle better.Quote:

I Got the Twin pack today, they are CADT // Powerchip 0,11. The speed premium should be here Monday.
The healthy stick of mine burn in very quickly. It gave me like 80 errors in memtest (test 5) at 245Mhz 2-2-2-5 @3.3v. But already after burning them im at 2 hours no errors would occur at that speed anymore :banana:
I got one UTT and one BH-5 from newegg and they don't seem to like eachother. I'm currently running the BH-5 alone at 250@3.6 with 2-2-2-5, havnt tested with higher speeds or lower voltage yet.
I'll probably RMA the UTT, think I would be able to request a matching 1A4T or would I be better off RMA'ing both and hoping for 2 UTT's?

I just now got around to testing the twinmos SP PC3200 I got from Newegg. They were both UTT BH-5. Right out of the box they did 250mhz @ 3.3v. I'm going to see if this whole "burn-in" stuff is for real. I've got them looping Memtest #5 at 270mhz 3.6v and I'm going to let them run for 3 or 4 days like that and then retest them if they survive ! lolQuote:

on a nf7-s with 3.25 vdimm:
220 2-2-2-5 1T stable it originally seemed to go higher but heat was killing it dispite the 92mm fan attached the the ram
240 2-2-2-5 2T even more stable, i think with 2T timings i can probably go higher, not sure if its my board or the mem restricting me on the 1T/2T timings.

My TwinMOS SP BH5 that I bought from newegg about 10 days ago could do memtest at 257fsb 1:1 on my DFI NF4 at 2-2-6-2 @ 3.5v (3.56vdimm checkpoint).
A couple months ago I had 3 sets of TwinMOS TMII 2x512 (50D) that did around high 240s to low 250s at 2-2-8-2. I also had two sets of 1x512 TwinMOS SP (AA4T 44D) where one could do like 255ish at 3.4v 2-2-8-2, and the other just couldn't do much at all.
I'm now trying to stabilize my new TwinMOS SP BH5 2x512, but I can't get it stable in windows at 250fsb, even though memtest could do much higher.
I'm thinking about buying more, since they are at $47 each now.

I just RMA my TWSP UTT (AA4T) and unfortunately I got back a (AADT) and this pair of RAM is suck. Once I install this pair into my slot....Beep......Beep.....So it's faulty. What on earth is this? I went to RMA and get a pair of faulty RAM back??? Anyway, I did some oc and the good stick can do stable at 230Mhz @ 2.5-3-3-8 only as compared to my previous AA4T which could do 260Mhz @ 2-2-2-2. Is there anyway I can push further my AADT or not?? Or I just RMA once more time????

First, those 270MHz+ 2-2-2-x results are done with ~3.6+. :stick:
What does your P/N-sticker and chips say? Your sticks are definately not Winbond based.
Might be Hynix D43.

It seems I read your reply too hasty:
2-2-2-x timings do work at 236MHz? What's the point in that pic w/ 2.5-3-3-8? Winbond chips (which they actually seem to be) don't gain freq from looser timings.
236MHz at 3.2V is quite what one can expect from these things. Put 3.4+ through them and they'll go higher - if your proc can do it.
I've tried to tighten the timings. When I stay at stock speeds there's no problem. But when I try to take the fsb up the system hangs up :mad:
If I were you I would lower my CPU multi to 9 or 10x and try again. You also are only running stock voltage to your CPU from what I see.
Lower your multi, loosen your timings to 2-3-2 or 2-2-2, and then try to hit 240fsb. You're not gonna hit much higher than 240 at 3.2v. I've owned 11 gigs of TwinMOS UTT ram, where about 5 gigs of it was the Speed Premiums. I have super first hand experience with these babies... and to be completely honest, I always ran 3.4-3.65v to them. These things love 3.4v, and definitely gain a few mhz when you hit 3.65v.
with your experience with twinmos do you know why my TMSP BH-5's can do fine individually 235mhz for one and 240 the other at 3.1v's but even if i keep the speeds and timings the same and go to 3.2v's they error out crazy in memtest? also they don't play nice together at all. is it something with the s754 dfi's? i can shoot 3.6v's to them with my psu but don't want to risk anything if they go crazy at 3.2v's.
*edit* i've played with raising cpu voltage and lowering the multi to as far as 8 to eliminate the cpu as the culprit.
If you haven't already, try putting your memory in slots one and three.

IMO it's a 754 issue, as the same sticks all play together in my 939 with no worries at all. I had one stick which didn't like voltage over 3.2v, but burn-in rectified that.
It might even be the 754 memory controller, because I had issues with a 939 Sempron not wanting to run 2 or more sticks either, yet my Venice's play fine.
It's a bit annoying since I love the 754..
