Very nice guide fugger and chilly1. Another guide that I found is from Shamino at vr-zone: guide to insulation against condendation
As you can see, shamino did an excellent job there. I was thinking to cover back of my board completely and an extensive area in the front - however what about screw holes - dont they "leak" moisture when I open the hole (i am going to put mobo into a case) AND the metal back plate you are referring, ultra-d has yellow plastic backplates - any problems there?
I tried to open the pictures referenced and am unable to do so.
I am behind an office firewall right now so the problem may be on my end but if the picts are no longer valid can you repost them? I will be performing an install over the next couple of weeks and want to do it right.
Thanks
Ill see what I can do to re-align the images.
Thanks! I really appreciate it.Quote:

A crash happened a few weeks ago. Are you sure that your not just spamming since you don't even have 939....
Sry for bumping such an old thread guys, but I just wanted to ask a question. In the first picture here, we see the evap with with a ring caved into it.

But in the next pic, it's been filled up with something. Now, I have seen many people using a, not quite sure what it's called, they at least use it on the top of pistons in engines. Could anyone give me an idea of what's been used here, and/or if not what would be ideal to use?

seeger ring (in poland it`s called in that way, in other countrys that same...I think)

That one would be rubber 0-ring you can obtain at home depot quite easily. Newer version on chilly1 evap has groove much thinner where that is out of option. There is what LukeXe described which works and it is called external snap O-ring. Homedepot again carries them (or most local hardware stores do). Size around 1.5" works just fine.
Luke: That's what I was talking about :)
jinu: So an O-ring wouldn't just be peeled out again due to the mounting pressure from above? Maybe the grove's too deep...
The one used are very tight fit and not easy to remove... (it has happened before but very unlikely).
Ok, thanks. I couldn't seem to find them at homedepot, not that big of a deal though, as I probably would buy them from there :P But what would you choose, rubber O-rings or that "external snap O-ring"?
