Hopefully the mods will be similair for the 128mb model and 256mb model!
try to get me real high quality pictures like in the linked guide .. i can figure out the rest for you .. if the images are too big to be posted email them to w1zzard@techpowerup.com
if you guys are thinking in doing a guide for the X600, it would be better to put it on a separate thread.:) It's easier for ppl to find it.;)
so whats the 24/7 voltage for vdd vddq and vgpu?
Where does your card stop seeing gains? That's how I try to determine it, I overvolt untill diminishing returns kick in for 24/7 use.Quote:

okey, the core loves voltage, with 1.65v and artic cooling vga silencer rev 3 on gpu i benched 01 in 565mhz room temp (22c)Quote:

With VDDQ/VDD needing to be overvolted in tandem, I'd ask around and see where GC20/GC16 (whichever you have) chips tend to peak if I were you. Playing VDDQ by ear is not something I'd want to do, even with GDDR3.
What kind of cooling are u running @ the memory ? My mem voltage is 2.1 stock. I can only hit 500 so far. I'll mod it today to 2.2 v for vdd and vddq. i hope i can get 550.Quote:

Well with the mods here I was able to get my gpu up to 572/625 bench stable... it artifacts like mad but it passes.
Grr artifact bencher :slapass:Quote:

ok vmodding noob here
measured the 3 voltages according to here:
http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/...g/voltmods/117
vgpu - 1.23v
vdd - 1.97v
vddq - 1.98v
being cooled by a zalman vf700Cu at the moment so I was thinking 1.5v on vgpu and 2.1-2.2 on the vdd/vddq for benching? It'll be at default stock as I don't play many games
picked up 3 50K Ohm trimpots
are these the right ones?
and there is 3 pins sticking out of the trimpots
which ones to use?
which way increases/decreases voltage?
I'm using 1.524 25/7 with no problems @ all. I'm not using a VDDR mod cause the mem did get hotter but my clocks would not get higher.Quote:

Good luck :)
here is my X700PRO 128mb heatpipe edition and it's look totaly different against thouse that are shown here? how the heck do i mod this card, vgpu and vdd it seems not to be anything to do a vddq mod on it as i see, anybody who have a clue to do the mod's on it..

Can you tell me what is written on the chip I have circled, and can you get some pictures of the front of the card.Quote:

sorry about the downtime that they hacked.
but i really need this mod to be done untill the 26'th this month i will go for an DI race with X700PRO and X800XT PE, so the X700PRO mod is quite essential time is running:)
Can you tell me what is written on the chips I have circled please.
on all these four chips it's written.Quote:

Can you post a close up pic of one of the chips marked '1571'. From that, I might be able to work out if they are just MOSFETs, or are some sort of votage regulator. I've searched, but I can't find a datasheet for the chips :(.
It looks like there might be some smaller 6 pin devices on the back of the card, which could also be voltage regulators.
This is as close i can take a pic hehe hope you can se it clear:)

hope thats help i took it where i saw it best other side is the heatpipe cooler an cant se it fom that side but it's the same chip..
I've done some looking around, and it looks like pin 7 on the 1571 chip is feedback. Can you check the voltage on the pin that I've marked to try to confirm this please.
when measuring on that leg i have the multimeter on 2V and it shows .979v and the multimeter on 20v it's 0,97v and it's sat on DC the multimeter?Quote:

Can you try soldering a 10k VR between pin 7 and ground.
Before you do the mod, find a voltage read point close to the area that the 1571 is in. I would expect that area on the card to be used for Vgpu, so look for a voltage which reads between about 1.2 to 1.6v. Make a note of this voltage, and check if it has increased at all after you have done the mod.
If that mods works ok, I'll look at Vdd/Vddq :)
Note: XS owners and members will not be liable for any damage caused to you or your hardware, neither can be liable for any breach of the warranty.
wow can you please give me an hint where to find a voltage read point because i have'nt a clue where to fin that??
and then i can set an reading point close to the end of the card as i use to do
Check around on the 3 MOSFETs at the back of the card or on the inductor on the front (looks like a black box with 1207-1R5 written on it in white) - there should be some exposed inductor leg either on the front or the back of the card.Quote:

i tried to rise it too and it works:)
EDIT: And i forgott to say thanks persivore for the help you take youre time to do, and i hope you will help with the vdd/vddq modd aswell :stick:
Can you check the resistance between pin 7 and ground on each of the other 1571's. I can mark pin 7 on a picture for you if you if you can get a closer pic of the other chips :)
yes i will take a closer pic if i can get it closer than before, but the batteri are on charge now so i have to wait a few houre :(Quote:

I've marked pin 7 on the attachment :)
the chip on the left shows with MM on 2K .532K and the other chip shows nothing att that leg :(
Sorry, I got the wrong pin for the chip on the right. I've marked the correct pin in green :)
For the chip on the left, connect a 10k VR between pin 7 and ground. I don't know which voltage it controls tho, but it will be either Vdd or Vddq.
i've allready measure that pin and it starts at .530K and then accelerate to .986KQuote:

I don't know which chip will be for Vdd or Vddq. You should be able to get voltage readings for the 2 voltages from the indictors near the regulators (black cylinders with copper wire wrapped around). Vdd/Vddq should be about 2v on the card.
ok i'll test measure them and se what volt they give me...Quote:

WOW havent things changed in the last 1.5-2 years . I am currently between cards and am back on my old x700 pro , could someone summarise the volt mods on this card or point me to where they may be .
