If you happen to run across some value series or premier using these ICs that does not have the " W " designation in the part number those are most likely failed for the VX 3200 spec

I'm a little confused. ryanpgroovy you list the UTT SN as:
OCZ4001024VDC-KW
but the link to atacom.com has it as:
OCZ4001024WV3DC-K
I'm holding a set that has:
OCZ4001024V3DC-K
So, I get the first three "OCZ", I get the second threee "400", and I get the third four "1024", but how do the last 5 or 6 work? How is the UTT identified?
Thanks
I think I misstyped the part number
OCZ4001024WV3DC-K seems to be correct
But didnt you say the -KW stood for Winbond?Quote:

I just bought some myself. Should be here by thur
any places in canada have this ram?
I am not sure if they do yet , but hopefully soon
anyone got them yet ?
cant wait until newegg has them...at least with this I know its UTT...I didnt want to take the risk of getting twinmos and not getting UTT like some people have...ryan do you know when newegg will have them?
i guess im the first one...
testing at 3.4v at 250fsb at the moment...passed over ten passes of memtest #5 and am currently in windows priming away
2-2-8-2-9-15-2-3-1-2 rest is auto on my dfi
memtest shows bandwidth of 1843 mb/s
255 failed at 3.5 so i dont want to go higher
one thing you guys should make note of: the ram chips are wiped clean, meaning no information about the actual chips itself...doesnt have the two "dimples" the twinmos had (obviously i've owned both). the only information is on the sticker on the ram, which is exactly what ryan said they were
why did they wipe the chips clean ryan?
Hmm, UTT is able to do cas3?? :confused:Quote:

Maybe they are gonna run better after some burn in time ;)Quote:

Lets see how more people do with these sticks before I buy a 3+ gigs of it! Woot!
LOL..My mistake I ment the twinmos cut..speed prem average is higher...

I thought the pc3200 VX where tested 240 2-2-2 :stick:

ryan, when will the pc-4000 be on sale and for about how much?
I've heard that UTT does quite a bit better after some burnin time.. and slowly up'ing the voltage
Its on sale now on MonarchComputers for $375  http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...Unbuffered_OCZQuote:

375!! omfgwtfbbq u can almost buy three of these sets for that price
Nope, burn in did nothing for my PC3200 VX... looped overnight test5 @ 3.6v and wouldn't go any higher. Looped it about 3 nights.

As far as hiting 250 2-2-2 with the value , I would think thats pretty good :-)
dont you guys set a MSRP for it?
We do , However the law precludes us from fixing prices , or enforcing a MSRP
You need an OCZ online store where we can order memory at MSRP, rather than this initial 3 month ripoff all the e-tailors pull when a new product comes out.

Just ordered mine, Can't wait to see how these bad boys run. If its good I'm gonna get another set to compliment my Ultra D :D
Well I hope everybody likes them considering the price :-)
I'll like it more when its in canada :P
Is there any OCZ distributor in Japan?Quote:

thanx for quick response Ryan
Or better yet, offer XS members a group buy at discounted rates. It seems, everytime some hot memory hits these forums, word of mouth travels and the lamer forums like Anandtech hear about it, which inturns, the word of mouth spreads like wild fire.Quote:

Nice thred... subcribed :toast:
atacom raised their price to 149.95
i'd recommend buying from somewhere else if someone is able to find a place that has them. the policies there suck
I guess the realized the potential of the part :(
I would bet $1 when NewEgg gets it it is higher.
Just a hunch....
wtf? :mad:Quote:

wonder when it will come out in UK..and how much :( Now you're going to say ATA ship to UK (hopes to god)...70 quid a gig...omg...could afford a ocz ddr booster to go with it :P and sell my crucial ballistix stick ^^
Dream on it will be more like £120minQuote:

As far as japan goes we sell limited quantities through
Growup Japan . Apparently the japanese market is not very familiar with our products :-)
send it here... your product is very famuliar in my country, the problem is.. no distributors .. :(
I question about the warranty:
Is it world wide? So if I buy a stick in america but live in europe, where would i have to send it to?
@ all the guys who ordered: no benches yet?
Would like to buy em soon before prices reach 150$
The warranty is worldwide , but depending on where you are in europe you might have to send it to a local disty , or to the US.

since i'm running single channel, sandra says the bandwidth is 3825, i'll assume that you multiply that by two if you have dual channel
thx, sounds awesomeQuote:

SAD
Mine will be here Friday, but the Fatal1ty doesnt have enough vdimm to push these sticks .... gonna have to put the DFI Ultra-D in, when I get it back from RMA.
After spending hours reading hundreds of messages, Ryan convinced me in this thread to try out his memory. I'll hold him personally responsible if I can't read 280MHz! lol
I thought I'd respond because someone said to hurry before it reaches $150. It already has! I ordered mine early this morning and it was $150. I'll keep my eyes on this thread and after I get the memory installed, if I can offer any valuable info, I will be glad to. However, I'm not a mad OC'er and when it comes to memory, I'm a n(b)oob. So I may not be of much help for what you guys are looking for.

SOmething thats bothering me...
What PCB is this ValueVX on ?
nm, wrong part number, missed teh W

are there pictures of the actual piece of ram that we are supposed to be buying?
has anyone bought one yet? i would like to see, do we even know if there are heatspreaders?
Of course no heatspreaders, it's value. That's a bonus in my opinion anyway, I hate heatspreaders.
On inspection of the part Number listed on the Web link you give, they have part listed as OCZ4001024WV3DC-K.
I have found UK seller with OCZ4001024V3DC-K Is this the same stuff
Cheers my good fellow :toast:
Nope...it needs the W after the 4 in the part number. The "W" stands for WinBond.
Mine will be here tomorrow, so ill post pics when i get home at 18:00 PSI
Mine are taking forever. Delivery on friday :mad:Quote:

OCWorks has em for $60 and that aint sharp, but $76?! :upset:
Well, xtreme stuff er.... EVERYTHING costs alot here (example:TWINXP1024-3200XL are sold at $500 to $570-storeX- ,OCZ Modstream 520W for $144 to $168-storeX-) so you cant be too picky about the price tag, but OCZ definintly needs a new distributor over here.....and a good promotion to go with it ;)
Mine is due to arrive Friday from atacom as well. Will post results comparing to the 4x512Mb TMSP UTT sticks I have.
Um, so is it just generally the BP808 pcb & which chips? ch-5? I got some vdata herem bought in canada for dirt cheap, that does 250 2-2-2-8-7-15 @ 3.4v...is this normal?

ryan already cleared up the confusion...
OCZ4001024V3DC-K does exist, but it seems is not the UTT chips.Quote:

hey guys i have been reading this forum for quite a while right now and im very interested in all the knowledge you guys are giving out cant learn this stuff in school lol.
i have the ocz value ram with the winbond chips i got them from atacom.com
they are stable 100% at 2,2,2,5 250mhz 3.3v im trying to get them higher and memtest gives me errors at 253 mhz but at 2 hours of running test 5
Cada... check this Newegg listing out... is it the same stuff?
NewEgg Vdata maybe UTT?
Hmmmm

I figured it was just because of the good pcb, but once i got them in a mobo w/ booster....

lol, it didn't fit the message. But what the guy was asking about, I was asking myself the same question at first. The original msg from Ryan had a different part number from what the web site stated. But Ryan replied back saying it was not KW, but the W is in the part number. Anyway, what ATACom has is the right part number. This was all in the thread. :)Quote:

My sticks are scheduled for delivery Friday as well. I did 2-Day to get them here before the weekend. Almost $17 for a half pound package.
I am oh so very tempted to try these. My PQI TCCD's are not to shabby, but the allure of possible 2-2-2 timings at 250mhz for only $150 is almost to much. Quick, someone talk me out of buying some.....
Man i cannot wait any longer :slobber:
Guess you all got them from atacom. Would you recommend buying them there or should i still wait for newegg (if yes, for what reason?)
Screw Newegg. Those guys are getting lazier. They have a warehouse, not more then 15 miles from me and stuff now takes an avg 3-4 days to get to me, instead of one. Prices steadily go higher to boot. Shipping is getting more expensive as well. Atacom was a great buying experience for me.
Thx m8Quote:

Atacom has done alright, shipping via UPS ground is sloooow. :)
I'm supposed to get mine today, but i can't say as though i'm happy with atacom so far. I ordered mine last Sunday, and on Tuesday they sent me an e-mail saying they wouldn't ship it to me because my billing/shipping address were different?! I've ordered countless times from online vendors doing this, but they said i had to clear this up with my bank. They even charged my card, before they sent me that e-mail. I cleared it up, and according to tracking it should arrive today. I'll let you know how it goes.
i dont know guys for sure but i think my mobo wont let me put the booster up higher then 3.4v. anything higher and the pc starts acting wild and more errors in mem testright now im running the mem at 252mhz 2,2,2,5 @3.3v
some help please?
NewEgg seems to be a bit inconsistant in their pricing from the things I've bought recently. Their x800 XL was about $100 more than what I paid. Their Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe was about $30 more than I had paid and I think even their A64 3200 was about $20 higher. I'd buy from them first if their price is close, but it hasn't been that way lately.
I had never heard of AtaCom until this thread, but I ordered 2-day shipping early Wed morning and it's arriving today (Fri), so they shipped it out on Wed. No complaints so far.
I got mine from Atacom today. I went ahead and ordered from them because I would bet $100 by the time NewEgg gets this DDR it will be more expensive.
