Mad Props Fugger!! 7.22GHz, Extremely cooool, Lets see those Japanese beat this.... :toast: :toast: :toast: :banana3: :banana3:
great result man. keep on the incredible clock
Wow & congrats dude! :toast:
7.2GHz - Thats just fkin amazing!!! :slobber:
very nice
Awsome job man..
But the added people are really effecting the server.. It's barely crawling right now..
...wow!
your gunna have to stop doing this unles your planning on getting the servers upgraded! :p:
now ya just gotta get it stable for us!
RwD
you need to run some 3dmark01 benches at whatever your highest stable freq at the moment is...see if you can beat those A64 bastards....with fsb and mem that high, it should be within reach!
I assume at the moment your doing stability testing and stuff? How do you go about that, do you use tools that the masses use (i.e. prime 95) or do you have some super "fugger only" stress tester?
Amazing!!!
Congrats, master! :D
What's the next step??? ;)
I don't think any top benchers do stability testing.. As long as it can run pi or 3dmark, they're happy.. what would prime really do for them?Quote:

Nice work fugger! (and chilly1 ;) )
Look foward to some benches
Dude, that's SICK.
Gorgeous :toast:
know what this means??
8 ghz is the next landmark...
jesus... 8 ghz is the next landmark.
thats gonna take an act of god to break...
but then again. I use to say that about 7 ghz ;)
finally figured out why the forum seems a little slow lol
Congrats Fugger
Awesome,Xtreme job good work Fugger and chilly1 :toast:
what amazes me is that 7.2 came out of no where. To increase your past record by 800MHz (dont remember what u previously topped out at?) is amazing
Incredible work gentlemen :toast:
Yet another reason why we are Xtreme here:D
Congrats, in a big way. :toast: :toast:
That is enormous.
Damn, freaking awesome man, that is really crazy.
Next stop: 8GHz :slobber: :slobber:
appaerntly they were having wicked heat problems, and the 3.6 has heavy throttling with stock heatsink. not that it matters for us with water and phase change coolin ;)Quote:

Geezaz!
Fugger @ the top!
7gigz is completly insane! keep goind!
And 1.95 is... dunno how to say... :slobber:
Greets and gool luck to the next step!
hehe, your in the news :D
http://www.hartware.net/news_37666.html
It spread all over.
Be sure to check the other two threads for more benchmarks and screen shots. This machine produces sick bandwidth.
We made a bunch of changes to the cascade last night and swapped out third stage expansion valve with a fixed orafice. We also went with a top secret gas blend to add glide.
I slept for almost 16 hours, after being up for 36. Part of the mental and physical conditioning in preperation to the OC competition in Texas.
The PCI IDE card did not help. I will go get the diagnostic post card to see whats hanging on boot.
He also made the H with the bios picture and they mentioned it again today. Nice job. You da man.
Nice results, congrats.
DFI Rulzzzzzzz :slobber:
:slobber: ..Unreal... :slobber:
:toast:
No way !!!! DFI are gods :)
DFI engineers are listening and paying attention, on that note let me add that ATI engineers are listening and paying attention as well.
I will try to get a good answer on when this board will be on the market. I know that it is not available yet and I have the only sample.
So you have some special chipset drivers like "inf05821fugger03a.exe" or something?
:D
The only Sample.
lol :D
I knew ud pull sumat out :D
This is peanuts to what is coming, I have another unique board inbound.
I have an event coming that may prohibit posting anything good from it. I can't say what it is yet.
Start crying now, it will require new memory technology. no guessing.
We are pulling wire to get more bandwidth in the building now.
:D all I can say Captin .. Good luck :D
and more screen shots, have u managed to boot into windows yet ?
impressive Fugger!!!
First of all, i dont see the point in people sayin 'great' 'cause we all know that.
Same for 'amazing, good, fantastic, nice' etc.
What interests me is that the CPU survived this massive heat production.
Yeah, i know its chilled by something you can almost refer to as a chillfactory, though ~500 Watts is a hell of a lot for such a small thing.
Then the next interesting thing would be 'How long would this CPU survive running @ 7.2 GHz?'
Maybe some one can tell me something about that? :D
Or am i the only one?
well i think it will last just longer then the test,
then we can clean it up and RMA it :D

It's like telling your mom you love her everyday, you don't have to tell her, she probably knows, but it's nice to hear anyway.
Fugger knows he's blowing up, but it's our job to remind him when he does stuff like this that we like it, like it a lot, and want to see more of it. :)
Yeah, you are right.Quote:

But, since your right about your first point :
:toast: Lets toast to fugger! May the overclockinggods help him on his quest to godlike overclocks :toast:
Edit: Its probably because i come from forums that do not allow the PIMP factor. We use it as discussion board. I wont ever complain here again
So how long till you hit 8ghz?
Late to the party, but had to say nice work. You're making our RAM scream :)
Q: Do you know the term EXIF?
Exchangeable Image File Format
Most cameras use this format to record info on the picture.
http://www.exif.org/
I find it strange your Overclock has no EXIF data in it.
Ie it's not a camera orginal. It has been edited. I know this can be lost if you don't save the file properly or sometimes it just happens. But it's a tell tale sign it has been thru a editing process (Photoshop or such).
Your Link to your 3D Marks results for your 4.2G has no CPU Marks? Again strange.
I know your state it's not stable in Windows and such. But anyway you can link to the raw file? If Nikon NEFF File? Or Such?
Congrats on your overclock. But after all it's the 21th Century last time I checked. I have seen some beautiful results in Photoshop that you would swear are real pictures.
Ok Flame Away
DM
Flame number 1: THIS IS FUGGER!!!!!!!!!
lol this is gonna get ugly. If he saved it for web in photoshop it would take off the exif data. I'm sure he has nothing to hide :)

Yep, new here and flaming the site's owner ain't very intelligent. :stick:
Noone would doubt any of his results here. He is THE man to do such a good job.
heh,
I used paint to resize the image as it was too large (over 120k) to upload to server.
Why did you need the EXIF info? Want the original image?
Don't worry guy, If You post pics then I'll believe them and trust that They are real. exif or not. :toast: :toast:Quote:

Fugger what the highest stable benchable speed you have so far.
I'm assuming he doesn't have a digital camera from like 1993, i'm guess its fairly new, in the megapixel range. So to save space and bandwidth I bet he saved it in a smalled format. Think if he didn't and left it at a few MB, now times that few MB to over a million hits if ot more (breaking 7 GHz is kinda big deal)
Watch out FUGGER haven't seen Macci around, i bet he's hard at work on his own top speed OC. Is this with your new DFI motherboard? If so mark me down for one.
what do you need EXIF data for? you need to know if flash fired or maybe need to know what was the shutter speed :rolleyes:Quote:

Looks like you don't know much about Image Editing...Quote:

And even there (ImageReady) it's not set by default - you have to manually check option to preserve EXIF data from original, if present.
also it looks like you don't know much about 3DMark benching, either :lol:Quote:

Lets get that beast under the reigns and start benchin! excellent job FUGGER! :P
Welcome to XS, thanks.
Best bench so far is the pi at 5.9Ghz. I didnt get much done today.
No need to beat up dataman, he wondered why that extra info was not on a digicam shot.
This may be of some interest.
14x350 1:1 3-2-2-8
I should have popped out a sandra but I was going for more FSB.
I attached a pic of the cooler after our changes. We swapped out the third stage expansion valve and regassed the unit. We lost a little temp and will suck the gas back out tomorrow and try a different blend.
its always ok to ask, but you shouldnt ask like this, its sounds a little disrespectfull/unfriendly :)Quote:

Could it be by any chance Xdr ?Quote:

 :toast:
Congrats on the insane OC FUGGER !!!
Can I have the scorched & chard remains for a key chain when your done ? LOL
Truly amazing!! nice Job. :slobber:
Wow! Really amazing! :toast:
That is pretty amazing!! Would like to see some screen shots in windows though. Have you found out what's locking up on boot? Not too suprised your getting lock up though... It is 7.2Ghz after all. The ALU in that thing is running DOUBLE that 14.4Ghz!!!!
This is kinda funny also though, Fugger said DFI and AMD engineers are watching.... Is overclocking becoming a comercially sponsored event now? I see huge potential for abuse amoung OCers that are sponsored.
Fugger's relationships with manufacturers seams to be ethical, but I could definitely see others saying "ya man buy XXX because I'm getting 20 bagigahertz over stock. Just look at this screen shot. XXX is the BEST buy it NOW!!" I'm not really concerned about Noobies losing their money to a company who spends a lot on marketing, I'm more concerned about the spread of bad information from sponsored OCers claiming they know the best.
Sorry about the paranoia, I've been through all of this before in the Car audio industry and now look at all the BS that is truth to many in that industry.... That's why I now Engineer only for Huge companies (With Deep Pockets :D )that dont care about BS hype, just performance.
back on topic though, I'm glad the WR will be in the states for a while. Let's keep them here!!!
Let's hope for the great 8 ghz!!!
congrats!!!! I noticed it was @ hards front page, even he could deny, funny. maybe you'll get unbanned in the hard forums!!!
lmao how did he get banned?
That's amazing. :toast:
It was over incorrect benchmarks long ago.
any more luck on the clockgen, i woulda thought they'd be falling over themselves trying to get one out for you.......just to be a part of this insaneness.
Yep, I sent my pll dump yesterday.
Crazy mofo! :slobber:
Excellent work!
OCing has become a major hobby, manufacturers have to take notice.
I posted a thread on the H asking review sites to OC their MBs to the max FSB at 1:1. What a review site usually does, is OC the board on the stock heatsink, which only gets them maybe 10%. Or they reduce the multiplier, and raise the FSB, which doesn't prove much. For example, my Asus A8V can OC to 250 reduced multiplier, yet when I try to OC my FX53 at stock multiplier, I'm stuck at 230mz.
In future reviews, I want to see sites take a new MB, watercool a known good CPU, raise vcore, put known good memory in there, keep it at 1:1, default multiplier, and go for the highest FSB possible with a screen shot of SuperPi at 32M.
Forums like this one are the best source for OCing info, but it just irks me when I see a new MB reviewed, and the OC section is not a real world example.
Thumbs up!
Kudos Sirs!
Do you remeber Intel leaked (was it?) article showing 10Ghz Pentium CPU in lab conditions? ;)
woow that's awsome :toast:
Hehe.. I would like to know what camera FUGGER got :p:Quote:

The mad from x86 thinks that, he isnt only and there is a thread about this suggestion, thats an idea....
see&wait
Ps: only cpu-z with the 1.27 version can detect the new Enhanced Halt State (C1E)
We were working a bit on it yesterday to confirm the reported speed was correct and every test I was asked to perform came back correct.
I can set C1E bit in bios. It will force me to 14x and show correct speed.
We used various tools for testing that the speed was correct and it came out correct every time. If I select CPU #2 in 1.27 it shows the correct speed.
DFI did a good job on this bios, it could use a bit more options.
Look at my superpi at 5.9Ghz (18x328) then look at the WR at 6.2Ghz. There is no way that my machine is running at 4.5Ghz (14x328) (1.27 reported 4.5Ghz)
I will look into more at idle and run pi to see if the speed switches back to correct on version 1.27
If I select 1.9v in bios and try to boot at 7.22 the system will never post. If I increase it to 1.95v I post. If I reduce speed to ~ 7.0Ghz I can post at 1.9v.
so the speed is really 7.22 at post time or there isn't any way to verify it ?
U said you can post @ 7.0 any benchmarks @ 7.0?
I'm waiting for the same... 20s Super Pi would certainly be über l33t. :eek:Quote:
