Just put up my pc and 2 other nodes, one more to come. 2 of them arent that great at all (p3 and celeron) But the others are a64's - 3400+ overclocked and a 3200+ on stock.
whats a "super node" if its what I think it is, then it'd be great for me...as I can't add another node...I can't remember my password :brick: :am: :hehe:
jjcom :(
From what I understand it, a super node is several, or more, computers using the same node number.
Don't think ya need a password. Just your email addy you originally used and the original installation's node number ( per the instructions 7 and 8 at this thread.
/me :)
thanks...Gonna make a super node with my Althon XP 2700, 500mhz Celeron and my 233mhz Pentium 2...I hope. I know the AXP will be there since its already there...the Celeron is likely to be added...the Pentium II will be some work but I may do that as well...wonder if I can add D2OL on my friend's computer...lol they won't notice it...nah not gonna do that...they may not like that...

I was trying to register on the d2OL website but I cant find my nodeid since im using rodzillas service version (no interface). Is there another way I can find my nodeid?
Once you sign into the D2OL website(click on "Teams" to do so), just go to the "Add Node" button towards the bottom-middle of the page.
I cant sign in.. i dont have a username and password, and when I register it asks for a nodeid.
"There were some problems with the information you entered.
Please verify and retry.
Node ID is a required field
Node Email is a required field
"
I cant find these because I dont have a GUI interface or a command line interface to d20l, i have it running as a background service via rodzillas install
I made a reply to this here... http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...236#post674236Quote:

My stats are pretty bad so far. This pre-built retail hunk-a-junk does SuperPI 1M in 72 seconds. On the otherhand it's running pretty much all day long :)
BTW, when it runs in as a service (viewable in Task Manager, though not in Start Bar), it does "fold" doesnt it? Otherwise I have only been doing very little...
Folding seems to be a good purpose, and i will happily "lend" my hardware for the prosperity of the human race :) Costs me very little, hopefully aids someone :)
Count me in!
It's just my P4-M 2.4GHz laptop at the moment, but more will be added when the parts arrive :D
u can use this program to monitor ur folding while d2ol runs as a serviceQuote:

http://homepages.opencominc.com/smichael/dspy.html
its very basic so it doesnt take up the resources that the regular gui does, u can also monitor all the comps on ur lan which is nice :toast:

Dang straight!! I am too addicted to folding!!! I must help overcome all those rivals!! LONG LIVE XS!!
yeah...you know something isn't right. I uploaded over 80cans and the stats only show a 10 can increase...before it showed nothing...now its 10...now I'm really starting to wonder where my cans went
jjcom
oo, thats not good, i think ima start unloading all in chunks now, i got 5 between us man so hurry up n catch me if u can, i only got my 2 little nodes on my HT rig running right now so shouldnt b too hard right?
I guess I'll wait until tomorrow or something...if they still ain't there...I think I'll start up a thread on this...really ticks me off when I'm set to take the next place up and my cans disappear...

They just showed up...I think it has something to do with the stats and that. The time zone difference makes some of my work show up on one day and the rest on another...even if its 10 here or something. So it doesn't show up until my computer days its tomorrow or something like that...bah it showed up so I'm happy  :D :banana:Quote:

No wonder you're getting more people. I joined XS.org just recently, and folding is simply a great idea! While I cant afford to fold all day usually (apart from special occasions with my parents out of town or the one above), about 8 hours during the day will make at least a small difference. I have the client installed as a service on my parents pc, so they wont even know its there.
I was wondering, what if we got some of our academical institutions to run D2OL on their computers? Not necessarily for XS, but to fold in general. Those pc's in my school are up and running 12 hours a day (about 150 of them). That should be decent folding! ;)
I'm here.
There was something that made me download java. I've had problems installing java before but since it's a new version, it actually worked for me.
Now that it works right, i downloaded d2ol. Works fine. Joined them team.
1 a64 3400 CH at 2.35ghz.
Excellent, Eddy!
Welcome to our team. Glad to have you crunching with us!
Well it's about time eddy!!! ;)
Glad to be a teammate again. :toast:
If you can get the administration at your school to agree with it that would be GREAT!!!!!! Especially if they crunched under the XS Flag!Quote:

Ok, I'll ask the guy. He's kind of funny, but once he sees D2OL Daddy and the fact that it runs as a service, i hope he'll let me do it. I'll tell him its helping people (which it is!), and hopefully that will persuade him.Quote:

There are tons of links to stats pages there. You may be interested in DSpy to keep tabs on your computer's progress. Personally I've never used it, but there's been plenty of people who have and been happy with it.
:toast:
Nah i wouldnt fold under my user name. I'm sure my school would like to do it under their own name un the XS team. After all, the installation is "XS customized", and knowing the administrator he won't care too much about the name it's under, as long as it's for a better purpose.
I'll talk to him tomorrow and see how it goes :)
If he doesn't seem like he's going for it, suggest a little test trial on 5 to 10 computers before he comes right out with a "NO!". ;) That way he can see for himself that it doesn't affect machine performance.
That would be really sweet if we can do this!
Just joined for the fun :)
With the system in sig :toast:
(joined under the name DenusJ)
But now I would like to do 2 things:
1. Change myself to individual in XS team
(  )
2. Add 'Hers' computer to the gang.
HELP PLEASE!?!?!?
so that means your under the Comunity node? right?
How I do things:
1.) Download and install the D2OL offical installer
2.) Regsiture under an email address (remember which one) and let it download some cans
3.) http://app.d2ol.com/memberServices/createMember.jsp
go there and use the node number in the upper right hand corner of the GUI and the same email address
4.) get under the Xtreme system team and get to folding :D
5.) Run the D2OL installer on "hers" and use the same email address as before. Let it fold
6.) sign into your account on D2OL.com and add her node number. Remember what it is, it will give you a list of nodes that are regisutred under your email
theres other ways you can do this, but this is how i like to do it. Theres the one where it runs in the background with Rodzilla could probly help you out there.
jjcom
I assume you meant to use the community installer and help out the team  Glad you liked it enough to create an account and join the team under your own user name! That's exactly what the community account is there for... give the project a spin and see if you like it!Quote:

To make your node, created by the community installer, stop crunching for the XtremeSystems_Community account, and start crunching under your own personal account:
You need to remove the node.prp which holds the node registration and create a new node with your registration info.
1.) Stop the XS_D2OL Service from running so you can make the changes.
Go to the service manager (Right click on your My Computer icon on the desktop and select Manage. At the bottom you should see Services...) Stop the XS_D2OL1 service. (Repeat for XS_D2OL2, 3, and 4 is you used the multiple node installers.)
Now go to the task manager and stop the Gridwin.exe task(s) (or Dockwin.exe) Do it for all of them if you used a multiple node installer (There will be multiple DockWin or GridWin task running if you did)
The D2OL Agent(s) is now stopped.
2.) Now remove the node.prp file from the "C:\XS_D2OL\D2OL1\D2OL\res" folder
This will unregistered your node from the XtremeSystems_Community account. You will then be free to re-register your agent under your own account.
Now go to the "C:\XS_D2OL\D2OL1\D2OL" and open D2OL.exe. This will start the D2OL Agent in the sys tray...
When you start the D2OL.exe file it will ask you to register the node... Use your e-mail address that you already have an account for, or plan to use to create an account. Use the same e-mail for every node you ever register. !!!***USE A REAL E-MAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO***!!!
Repeat step 2 if you have any other nodes on the system created by a multiple node installer. Substitute the path to D2OL.exe and node.prp with "C:\XS_D2OL\D2OL2\D2OL" and so on for multiple node installers.
3.) If you haven't already created an account you will need to do so now. The following instructions assume that you do not have an account.
Take note of the node number(s) that were just created when you entered your e-mail for registration. To do this:
Right click on the D2OL sys tray icon and select Status. At the top select Statistics.
Here you can see your node ID and your e-mail address.
You only need to know 1 of your node ID's for registration. The rest will be available to add once your account is created.
With this information you can now create an account.
Go to this page and create your account. http://app.d2ol.com/memberServices/createMember.jsp
Enter the e-mail and a node number that you have registered.
The node that you used to activate your account will be automatically tied to your user name.
If you registered more nodes you will be able to add them by clicking on the "ADD NODE" button at the bottom of your "Team - My Home Page".
You should be ready to rock and roll!!!!!!
.:NOTE:. Any points that you have contributed to the XtremeSystems_Community account belong to that team account. It's impossible to separate them out.
I'll enter into the top70 of the team in a short time :D
I'm using this program since last week and i did 1066 candidates. Is this a good mark or not?
C'mon, we should be 3rd at the end of the year! Let's help! :D
For only being active for 9 days! And on 1 rig  That's a very nice contribution!Quote:

I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable folks will be able to help you in the later AM hours, once they wake up.
find the node.php file in the D2OL install folder. Then basicly, put that file on another install of D2OL and overwrite he first one.
